“What?” I whispered.

Enzo approached me and put his hands on my face. “I love you, Celine.”

I shook my head. “No…no! You can’t Enzo! I’m your guardian angel, we can’t be in love with each other, it doesn't work that way. It’s not right.”

“No it’s not.” I gently pushed him away. “You’re confused.”

I had never heard Enzo speak so softly and passionately. Whether or not he loved me, he sure believed it and it was clear in his words.

“I don't know anything about love,” I breathed. “I really think-”

“Don’t think, Celine.”
