“Celine?” Sander asked. “What is he talking about?”
“No, Celine, what is this guy talking about? You and I have been seeing each other since we found the Bonepikes.”
“Well we were seeing each other before she ever came here.”
“Is that true?” Grey questioned.
I just stared at them, not sure what to even say. I didn’t think I liked Sander anymore, but if my mission was complete, that would be who I was with. It’s the only way it could work out for me if I wanted love.
But until then, I wanted love here on Earth. Who with, I was not ready to admit, but I knew that’s what I wanted until I had to go back.
“Sander, can I talk to you?” I asked.
“Gladly.”
He smirked at Grey as he followed me to the hall.
“What Grey said is true. I have been seeing him.”
Sander was taken aback. “What? Celine, relationships between angels and other creatures are severely looked down upon.”
“I’m aware of that, but Grey doesn’t know I’m an angel. He just thinks I’m a wolfless werewolf. He knows nothing about my mission here.”
“That doesn’t make what you’re doing okay, you know that?”
“Yes, but it has a time limit, right? So what’s the harm?”
“You’re breaking my heart, Celine. I thought we were waiting for each other.” Sander frowned.
“I had intended that, but things change.”
“So what am I supposed to do?”
“I think you should go back to The Cosmic Sanctum tomorrow. I can handle this.” I said firmly.
“You really think so?”
I nodded. “I can make Enzo fall in love.”
“Okay…fine. But when you come back, we’ll be together again, right? I mean you and I are kind of made for each other.”
“You think so?”
“I think we were destined, Celine. So I will wait for as long as I need to for you to also realize that.” He kissed me softly. “I’ll see you in a month okay?”
“Thank you for coming, Sander. It means a lot to me.” I smiled.
“I’d do anything for you Celine.”
“Now let’s go back over there and please be nice to them. They’re my friends.”
“Oh fine,” Sander rolled his eyes. “You know, now that I think about it, I’m glad I’m leaving tomorrow. I don’t like Earth at all. It’s so grimy.”
I chuckled. That’s definitely the Sander I remembered.
We walked back to the others. “Grey, can I talk to you now?”
“Yes.” He glared at Sander as he came over to me.
“So what’s going on, Celine?”
“Sander was a little confused about our relationship. We kissed months ago and said if the universe brought us together again, we would try it out. However, I didn’t know that the universe would send me you.”
Grey couldn’t help but smile. “Yeah, really?”
“Yes. So Sander understands that he and I cannot be together right now and he accepts it.” I stated.
“Good.” Grey kissed me. “I thought I was losing you for a moment there.”
“Not at this moment, you’re not.”
“So is he staying?”
“Just until tomorrow. He has other things to get back to.” I assured him.
“Good, I don’t really like that guy.”

I was doing more in the sand than I ever thought.
I wasn’t sure how it happened, but kissing Doran quickly turned into touching and then we were making love in front of the sunset.
Doran grunted on top of me as he slowly thrusted in and out of me. My fingers clawed at the sand desperately as I gasped and moaned loudly.
I reached up to kiss Doran passionately.
“Sela, you feel so good,” He groaned.
“Oh my god, Doran, just like that!” I panted.
This was completely different from making love to Lev. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but there was an intense connection between Doran and I. Like we were meant to be.
“God you’re so beautiful,” Doran smiled down at me. “I could make love to you for eternity.”
His hands gripped my thighs as he moved faster. Our moans filled the open air. I turned my head to see the sunset. It was stunning. This moment was incredible.
Doran’s lips found my neck and kissed lightly before sucking.
“See this is what you deserve Sela,” He breathed. “To be made love to in front of the sunset every night.”
“It feels so good.” I bit my lips.
“I can make you feel like this whenever you want.”
His tongue danced up my neck, causing me to shiver and writhe under him.
Doran made me feel so sexy and warm. Like my blood was boiling when he touched me. My fingers ran under his shirt to feel the muscles in his back. They flexed every time he pumped into me again. I loved the feeling.
“I’m close.” Doran whimpered.
Hearing him sound so out of control was amazing. All day he had this air of confidence and collectedness about him and now he was wild and passionate.
How did I bring that out of him?
“Oh Doran!” I cried out. “Finish for me.”
He pushed deep inside of me before shaking uncontrollably.
His hair was strewn across his forehead as he breathed heavily while looking down at me.
“So, how did you like the beach?” Doran asked.
“I love it.”
“We should get you back. They’ll be worried”
“Was it worth it, Doran? You know since we’ll probably be getting in trouble.” I smiled.
“It was more than worth it, Sela.”

As we were scolded by our parents, Doran and I tried not to laugh.
I was barely listening but caught certain phrases.
“Too dangerous to be alone”
“You could have been killed.”
“You know better than this.”
“You may be excused now,” Dad frowned.
Doran and I exited the study and hurried around the corner.
He pushed me against the wall and kissed me fiercely. I moaned softly as his lips moved down to my neck.
“Come to my room tonight.” He breathed. “I’m even better in a bed.”
Usually I spent the night with Lev.
“Um…I don’t know-”
“You’ve given him a chance to make love to you multiple times. Don’t I deserve the same courtesy?”
I guess that was true.
“Okay. I’ll see you then.”
Doran kissed me on the lips again.
Someone clearing their throat broke us apart.
It was Lev.
***
I jolted awake.
Oh, Sela was in big trouble!
How could she let herself fall for two different men and so quickly. She was going to hurt Lev with the way she was going. But Doran was also amazing. He was exciting and fun and made Sela want to do things she normally wouldn’t.
Their time together on the beach was very sexy.
At least Lev knew about Sela’s confusion. That should make things easier.
Hopefully we got to her before things got too intense.

I was kind of sad that Sander was leaving so quickly, but I knew it was best.
He would just distract me from what I had to do. He was too emotional about me.
“I’ll see you in a month, right?” He asked.
“That’s the goal,” I smiled.
“I wasn’t sure if I should say something, but you need to make a choice, Celine.”
“About what?”
“Who you’re going to spend this next month with.” Sander answered.
“What do you mean?” I questioned.
“You care for the Beta…and your charge.”
“What I-”
“Don’t try to deny it, I can tell. But you can’t have both. And you need to make the Alpha fall in love. So cut off whatever is going on, finish your mission and come back home, okay?”
I nodded. “I’ll handle it.”
“Good.” He kissed my cheek. “I’ll see you soon.”
In an instant, Sander was gone.
He was right.
Just like Sela, I needed to make a choice.
