CHAPTER 18

“Are you ready?” Kai asked to him after they arrive where Raffy’s secret house is located.

They are now looking at the house, particularly at the window of the room on the second floor where Selena was sighted by their sniper a while ago.

They waited the day to come down, as it will be better if they would sneak in to the house at night time.

“Always.” He replied, enthusiastically, as he finish gearing up.

“Okay.” Kai said, and started to communicate with their back up, with Mr. Vaughn’s men as a reinforcement.

“Be careful, your wound is still not heal yet. Don’t do rush move.” Kai added a reminder to Sander, and continue to speak with the back ups.

Sander nod, glancing at Kai with a small smile replying, “no problem.”

Sander also started, dialling Mr. Vaugh’s number, who is now in a van meters away from them.

The operation today is a secret from other authorities, and Mr. Vaughn trusted police general, which coincidentally also his father’s bestfriend and Kai’s boss as an intel knew about the operation, and the also reason why he is able to come with Kai today.

The general, has been watching Raffy and had countless attempt to capture Raffy for his charges with the law, but Raffy was always able to escape from his charges. With the general’s command they were able to do this operation, hoping to finally capture Raffy, and able to gather more strong evidences that will use against, for him not to be able to escape to his cases again.

“We’re in position now, Mr. Vaughn.” He informed.

“Alright.” Mr. Vaugh said. “My men is already coordinating with your men, I will leave everything to you, Son. Thank you for rescuing my Selena.”

“No need, to thank me, Sir. You know I will definitely do everything to get Selena safe.” He said courteously, with a slight smile.

“Well, then, I still thank you Sander.” Mr. Vaughn said gratefully, “take care.”

“We will, thanks.” He replied, before hanging up, to face his friend Kai who just also ended giving instructions to our backups.

“Everyone is ready.” Kai announce after the call and he just nod.

“Let’s go, and get your girl and I’ll get your brother.” Kai added with a smirk of excitement.

“Yeah.” He agreed.

“Everyone in position!” Kai commanded to their backups through his mouth piece.

“Continue to give us insights inside the house.” Kai added in command before they went out to his car.

“Roger!” The back ups replied in chorus.

“Any sight of Mr. Mirabello inside?” Kai asked as they approach the darkest part of the yard wall.

“Still negative. He hasn’t been come out from the room he entered a while ago.” One of the backup replied, through his receiver.

“How many guards can you see outside, Snipe?” Kai asked pertainig to their sniper, as they reach the yard wall, near the big three, where they are planning to climb up.

“Six guards Captain. Two at the main gate both two guards coming from the left and right side of the house.” Their sniper, replied.

“We’ll climb now, assist us.” Kai said, after they move to the most dark spot of the territory wall.

“Roger!” The sniper replied.

He and Kai, climbed successfully to wall carefully in discreet so no one would noticing them, that will alarm the other men inside the house. Sander immediately went to the back gate, and open the gate to let their other back ups to join them inside.

“Guards in the front gate is in doze.” The sniper informed after a while.

“Great.” Sander heard Kai replied, who is now taking the left side of the house, while he is now taking the opposite side after letting their back ups in.

They are not planning to kill anyone if not necessary, for they plan to capture the men with Raffy, for interrogation and investigation.

“Do you have a sight of how many guards is inside house, bud?” Kai asked to him after a while.

“I only see four at the living room.” He replied, as he peek to the window.

Sander decided to take the backdoor, but a guard saw him while he is trying to open the door. Luckily, he had a fast reflexes and didn’t gave the man a chance to make any noise that could make them notice and hit his back neck to made the man unconscious, and hid the body at the side before continuing.

“One down for me, I also unlocked the backdoor .” He informed through his mouthpiece.

He was about to step to enter the backdoor when three men suddenly appeared from the backyard with their guns, and he was about to attack it when the three suddenly collapse.

“Triple kill goes to me, Kai!” Kai’s voice playfully said followed by a soft whistle after from his earpiece. Making him scoff as Kai is starting to get playful again. He also heard their back-ups chuckle.

He and Kai hid the three asleep men together with the man Sander made unconscious awhile ago, and hand in hand, they cuffed them in the nearest pole and duck tape their mouth just incase they woke up, they will not be able to scape nor scream. Like the other guards on the main gate.

“Captain, we were able to get visual on the room where we saw Mr. Mirabello entered awhile ago, but he’s not there.” One of their men informed exactly they finished settling the unconscious men.

“What?!” Kai asked surprise but still in a low voice.

On the other hand Sander knotted his brows, in confusion and began to became uneasily worried that Selena might also disappeared that Kai immediately notice on Sander’s expression.

“How about the other target?” Kai asked again in a calm tone this time, but his jaw is clenching.

How does it happen? They are the watch in the house all this time, but how did Raffy able to disappeared unnoticeably?

“Positive, Ms. Vaughn is still in the room.” Replied by the person they assign as a look out on the room where Selena is.

“Good. Now let’s just proceed on rescuing Ms. Vaughn and Mr. Mirabello’s men.” Kai ordered taking a glance to his friend, and saw him seems relieve at the same time bothered after what they heard.

Kai went beside of Sander and gently tapped his right shoulder with a small smile. Kai knows Sander is bothered about Raffy, sudden disappearance, and it can see on his face.

“Don’t mind about it, I’ll take care your brother. I’ll make sure to capture him as soon as I can.” Kai said, “for now, Let’s focus on taking Selena back.”

Sander nodded, after he heave a sigh. “Thanks, bud.”

Kai just smiled, and motion Sander to be alert and focus. After making sure everyone is in their position inside the yard, Kai gave his command to barge inside the house with a reminder not to kill if not necessary according to the plan and just capture everyone.

Just like what they plan, they barge inside making Raffy’s men caught off guard. Some tried to fight, but immediately shot with a tranquilizer making them unconscious in an instant.

“Where is your boss?!” Sander asked to one of the cuffed Raffy’s men.

The man didn’t speak a word, making Sander clench his jaw in annoyance, specially when the man just smile like a fool at him.

“I am asking you, where the f**k is your bastard boss?!” He repeated asking, but the man did the same.

“Bud, stopped the men seems currently high in drugs, only two of the men are normal.” Kai interrupted making Sander halted.

“We already took care of the guards on the second floor. You can go to her now.” Kai added, making Sander calmed down immediately.

Before they barged in, Kai told Sander, that he would going to go on the second floor of the house first to check as the leader of the operation, that Sander understood and agreed, after a few arguments that he will also come.

Now, after Kai give him a go signal. After saying his thanks, Sander rush to the second floor where Kai instructed on which room is Selena is in leaving Kai, with Raffy’s men.

Even he is catching his Sander didn’t waste any time, and barge opening the room door. He slightly twitch because on his wound in his shoulder got force, but immediately disappeared, when he succeedingly opened the door and saw his woman, looking at him with wide eye.

“H-How?” He heard Selena asked unbelievably, but Sander didn’t pay attention to it, and rush to approach Selena and wrapped her in his arms.

“Sander…” Selena uttered.

Sander didn’t say a word first, for he suddenly felt a explainable range seeing the bruises and cut on Selena’s lip, before he went to tightly hugged his woman and savor her warmth that he missed. He swipe the tear that escaped on his eye because of relief and happiness, while rubbing Selena’s back that is now crying hard, and his heart aches hearing it, making his range toward Raffy and to himself grow more.

He is blaming himself for coming late, because if he didn’t. Selena would not be hurt by his bastard brother.

Sander tightly hug Selena more to make her feel security, while still crying. He also wants her to feel that he is sorry that he came late.

“I’m sorry, love. I came late. I’m so sorry.” Sander uttered in a gentle yet guilty voice.

Sander kissed Selena in her head multiple times and while rocking her like a baby to calm her down even a bit, and after a while she did, a bit.

“I’m sorry.” Sander uttered, but he suddenly felt Selena arm fell from clinging in his neck.

He got panic, but immediately felt relieve after hearing Selena’s breathing became deep indicating that she fell asleep.

Sander smile a sad one and whispered. “I’m really sorry, Love. I love you.”

And pick Selena gently up, with a clenching jaw as he stared at Selena’s vulnerable state in his arms.

I will surely hunt you down Raffy! I won’t care anymore if you are my brother anymore, I’ll make sure that you will pay for what you’ve done to my girl!
