I knew she was doing all this because of me. I could feel the tears welling behind my eyes, threatening to fall but I managed to hold them back.
Alpha Lucas stepped out majestically, and I wondered what he intended to do, to kiss her?.
"Mother, what are you doing?" he said and whispered in his mother's ear.
I couldn't even guess what he said to his mother's ears, but I was relieved when I could clearly see the anger in his eyes and it took everything in me not to rush over to comfort him, it seems we would end up together now.
"She just arrived from a very long journey" she continued ignoring Lucas “I ask that we all take good care of her and make her time here as pleasant as possible, we don't want our Luna feeling like a stranger in our pack”
The crowd murmured in agreement to take good care of Odetta, and I could see the relief on their faces to finally have a Luna beside the Alpha to balance out the authority of the pack.
“Please do return back and remember what I said, while I show Odetta around our pack” she said as she dismissed us before turning to a beaming Odetta standing beside her.
I must agree she does look gorgeous, perfect as a Luna, every part of me with loose flabby skin, was toned out on her. But Lucas always kissed every part of me and loved them. I don't need to concern myself with other people. Lucas is enough for me, who on the other hand was speaking angrily at his mother before they leave to talk in his office
I was a little worried too, didn't they know each other before the public announcement? Because how would the Alpha's mother present a strange lady.
Well, I am happy he let everyone know he is not interested.
I guess I owe him a kiss.
I was alone in the maids room, when I heard the sound of a knock.
Who would knock? The other maids always come in without knocking, we are all ladies.
"Come in" I said
I was surprised to see Alpha.
I stood up immediately and he came towards me, we hugged tightly.
"Won't you kiss me?" He asked.
I kissed him emotionally and he gently pushed me to the bed.
He undressed me and I did the same to him, I guess we both needed to let off some steam.
After we had enough fun, we remembered that we didn't close the door, how could we forget? What if anyone comes in?
"I mean we should be happy anyone didn't come in during this, what would the other maids think of me or your mother"
"You were very happy that you forgot what you always remembered, anyways I am here to remind you that I love you and I will always love you"
"Now I believe and I trust your words, I love you more Lucas, every moment I had spend with you is the best, you always give me hope, I know no one is perfect but you are pretty close, I love you Lucas"
"So when I told you to have patience the other time, do not think I am deceiving you"
"The mating ceremony is next week"
"Yes, and I would love you to be dressed in a nice dress, I would announce you as my Luna there, when I finally do, you will be mine, you would change the room you are staying now and we would both live together, everything would change for good"
"I saw that coming, I would put on my best clothes, the one my mother gave me”
"I don't have problem with that if it is a nice wear"
"It is, well you need to start going to your room before the maids start coming, so they won't be gossiping about us"
"In my own pack? Who dares gossip or say what I am doing isn't good?"
"I know but I would come by and meet you soon"
"Alright, no problem, I would miss these moments with you"
"What do you mean by you would miss these moments with me, we would be together after the mating ceremony, I would just be careful not to be caught by your mother"
"Alright" He said and left.
I was alone smiling like I have the world to myself.
Everyone who has thought I couldn't make it or even become anything would be disappointed.
I just imagined how it will look like
"I hear by announcing Sophia as my Luna" Trying to copy Lucas' voice.
Well next week is almost here, I wonder how my reaction would be.

The breeze was so cool, and unlike the time I used to wake, this time there was noise and I felt I didn't wake up at the right time. I checked and it was 7:00am.
Why didn't anyone wake me up? I usually wake up by 6:00am.
Well, I guess they studied the environment and they already knew the fact that I would become the Luna of Alpha Lucas soon, and they are trying to respect me, so I could treat them well when I got there.
Well, there is this lady, Selena I won't treat right and won't treat bad when I get there, she made me suffer and that one time she accused me of stealing from the pantry. I definitely won't be nice to hear

*A week After*
It is the mating ceremony, the Alpha and some other people in the pack who want to be mated are prepared already.
Well, I wouldn't make it obvious I would be attending, only the king will know I would be going.
I secretly prepared myself and made sure my dress was ironed properly.
Before Alpha or I left for the mating ceremony, he came to me when I was alone.
"I can't wait officially for you to be my Luna" Alpha muttered and I smiled.
"The day I have been waiting for is here, isn't it? Well, I don't have to worry henceforth"
"It is" He held my hand and kissed me on my forehead, holding me very close. We stay like that for a while in each other's embrace before he had to leave for the ceremony and after which I followed him out shortly.
I got there and they were already mating people, I was so happy I came on time because it was the Alpha's time to be mated.
Alpha Lucas came out of the crowd and addressed everyone.
My heart was pounding already because today would be the happiest day of my life obviously.
After he had addressed people, he uttered "I hereby choose Odetta as my mate
