It has been 3 months since we started studying in college. I and Blaze are still entering the same university but we are studying different courses. Like Blaze said before, he took performing arts as his major and he truly aced his exam as he told me. He is topnotch in their department and he also was able to get the university’s scholarship while me, well I also aced my exam and like Blaze, I also got our university’s scholarship. When it comes to where we live, our parents decided to buy a house for us here in the city because they wanted us to live together for a reason that we are far away from them and we only have each other here in the city. Also, they are trusting us enough that we won’t do anything that will disappoint them. I and Blaze also talked this over that he cannot enter my room so do I, in order to protect ourselves from the temptation.

“Lei, are you done?” I only came back to my senses when I heard Blaze’s voice from my door while knocking. I cleared my throat first before answering him.

“Yes, I am done! Just wait for me, I will be there in a minute!” I said

“Okay.” He said and then after that, I just clean away my stuff, and also I tidy my room a little bit before grabbing my bag from my bed and head outside my room. I almost jumped off on my feet the moment I opened my door because Blaze is still standing there, geez I thought he already head to the kitchen.

“Good morning!” He said and then kissed me on my forehead as I closed my room door.

“Good morning too!” I said while smiling at him.

“What do you want to eat?” Blaze asked me while we are walking towards the kitchen.

“Hmm, maybe some omelet and rice?” I said and then he pulled a chair for me first before he speaks.

“Okay! Omelet and rice will be served any minute from now,” He said which made me smiled.

“Thank you!” I said and then he just smiled at me before heading towards the stove. While looking at him preparing our breakfast, I just realized how lucky I am to have Blaze as my boyfriend. He will always take care of me, protect me, he will always make sure that I am happy and whenever I am sad he is always there to lift up my mood. I know that we are just teenagers and I also know that there are still a lot of things that will go through us that might tear us apart but I just cannot see my future without him.

“Lei, did you watch the series I am talking to you about last night?” Blaze asked me while he is busy cooking.

“Hmm, I was about to watch it after you called me but I was so sleepy so I wasn’t able to check it. Why?” I told him as I stand up from my seat and head towards him.

“Oh, I was about to ask about your insight to that series because we need to pass a reaction paper about that but I am having a hard time understanding the plot.” He said. The moment I reached him, I immediately hugged him from his back which startled him because he doesn’t have a single idea that I am already there.

“Oh my goodness! You startled me.” He said which made me laughed because of how cute his reaction was.

“Hmm, when did you need to pass the reaction paper?” I asked him while I am hugging him so tight from his back.

“The third of next month.” He said

“Okay, if I still have the energy to watch it later then I will start watching the series to help you with your reaction paper,” I said and then unclasped the hug. I was about to head back to the table when Blaze grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him and hug me so tight.

“Thank you, Lei, but if you will be so tired later then don’t force yourself to watch it okay? Take some rest.” He said and then kissed me again on my forehead before letting me go.

“Hmm, I will. But you also need to take some rest okay? We are only studying here in the city for 3 months and look at how skinny you are getting. Look at your eyes and there are black circles around it.” I said while looking at him from head to toe.

“Yes ma’am! I am just so busy these past few days because of the paper works and I heard that we will also have a thesis this year even though we are still freshmen.” He said which made me nod at him. So that is the reason why he always comes home late and sometimes he will go to our university early in the morning.

“You can do that Blaze. I believe in you and I will always will. Now, you can continue cooking our breakfast because we didn’t want to be late right?” I said and then kissed him on his cheeks before heading back to the table.

“Yes ma’am!” He said while saluting at me which made me giggled because of how his silliness. After that, he continues on cooking again, and after a few minutes, he delivered our food to the table.

“Thank you so much!” I said and then he just smiled at me before sitting down on the chair in front of me. We immediately started to eat so we can head towards our university early.

“Do you have your stuff with you?” Blaze asked me before we head outside our house.

“Ahm, yes. How about you?” I asked him while putting on my shoes.

“Yes, everything is with me. So, let’s go?” He said so I just nod at him and then he lay his hand in front of me so I immediately grabbed it and then we head outside our house together and walk towards our car. As we reached our car, Blaze immediately opened the door of the passenger’s seat for me.

“Thank you!” I said while smiling at him before I enter the car.

“You’re welcome, my princess!” He said before closing the door for me. after closing the door for me, he immediately runs towards the driver’s seat side.

“By the way, I forgot to tell you earlier but I won’t be able to come home with you earlier.” Blaze said as he heads inside the car. I looked at him while frowning before speaking.

“Hmm, why?” I asked him while still frowning.

“Well, I got chosen by our professor in our acting subject to try auditioning for an upcoming series that one of the famous television channels in our country and my professor told me that I kind of fit to the main character so he asks me to give it a shot.” He said which made me so happy and proud of him because finally, an opportunity is knocking on his door.

“Then go! You should give it a shot Blaze, I know how much you wanted to be an actor and as your best friend and girlfriend as well I am always here for you to support you! Fighting!” I said while showing my fist to him. Blaze smiled at me so purely which made my heart melts because this is the very first time I saw him smile like that.

“Thank you so much, Lei! I will ask my professor later if I can bring you to the audition. I truly wanted you to be there to act as my emotional support as well as my inspiration.” He said and then grabbed my right hand and kissed it so gently. I was just looking at him the whole time we are traveling to our university.

“Then just message me about your professor’s decision okay?” I said while standing beside the door of the driver’s seat.

“Of course! I will immediately tell you about his decision. Then, see you later okay? I love you!” Blaze said while smiling at me.

“Hmm, see you later! I love you more!” I said and then kissed him on his cheeks before heading inside my department’s building. He just waved his hand at me before closing the car’s window and driving off towards their department. When our car is not in sight anymore, I decided to head inside the department’s building and head towards our first class.

“Lei! Wait for me!”  A loud voice from my back made me stopped on walking and immediately turned around and looked at Ellis who is still shouting my name like crazy because she is already capturing a lot of attention and it is so embarrassing!

“Geez! Will you please stop shouting?” I told her as she reached me. Ellis just giggled at me before we start to walk together towards our classroom.

“I’m sorry! But I just like doing that to see that reaction of yours!” She said and then get her phone from her pocket and starts to capture a lot of photos of me.

“Geez! Stop that! You are ruining my morning!” I said while covering the camera lens using my hand but she is so nosy and she is flipping away my hand that is trying to cover the camera lens. I just let out a heavy sigh before letting her do what she wanted. I just started to walk faster because honestly I feel so annoyed right now but I am just restraining myself from getting mad at her.

“Hey! Wait for me!” Ellis said but I just continue walking until I reached our classroom. I intentionally looked for a table with a person already sitting there so Ellis won’t sit beside me.

“Ahm, is this seat taken?” I asked this girl who is currently reading a book.

“Ah, not yet, not yet.” She said while smiling at me which made me smiled too.

“Then can I sit here?” I asked her and then she immediately nods at me before removing her bag on the chair beside her.

“Thank you,” I said as I sit beside her, and then she just nods at me while smiling before reading again her book. The moment Ellis enters the room, it is so obvious that she is looking for me so I decided to hide my face using my book but I guess she truly has some special talent for finding me and not even a minute has passed she already found me.

“Hey, why are you sitting there?” Ellis asked me so I put down the book first on the table before answering her.

“I don’t want to sound mean to you, but you are annoying me Ellis and I cannot stand it anymore!” I said which made the smile on her lips automatically fade. My conscience automatically eats me but this time I won’t let it get the best of me and apologize to her because it’s her fault in the first place!

“Oh, is that so? Then I guess I will just look for another table. Sorry for annoying you.” She said in a very sad tone before walking again to search for her seat. While looking at her walk away from me there is this urge within me that wanted to call her and tell her that I didn’t mean it but I know she will annoy me again tomorrow and to the incoming days we have in this university so I decided to neglect her and just look again in front.

“Is there something wrong?” I was so surprised when this girl beside me suddenly approaches me.

“Ah, nothing, nothing. I am fine, I am so sorry for disturbing you.” I said but she just shakes her head at me while smiling before she speaks.

“I am sorry if I overheard your conversation with your friend but can I ask you what happened between the two of you? But it’s okay if you didn’t want to tell me, that’s definitely fine!” She said which made me giggled because she easily gets flustered.

“It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s nothing serious anyway. Well, that friend of mine kept on annoying me every morning! As in, every morning! I was her classmate ever since we were senior high school students and every morning if she will see me walking in the hallway, she will surely shout out my name which will catch everyone’s attention!” I said and then shake my head as I remember how annoying Ellis is.

“Oh, if I were also in your situation I will also get annoyed with her. You know I kind of idolize you because if I were you I might shout at her and say a lot of mean words to her.” She said which made me smiled because she didn’t know how much I am restraining myself from doing such things.

“She is so aware that I didn’t want it when I am getting unnecessary attention and yet she still does it for her happiness,” I said and then shakes my head because of how dense Ellis is.

“It’s fine, that’s what best friends do! Annoy the s**t out of you, you just need to understand her more and look beyond her actions. Maybe she is just trying to get your attention or maybe she feels neglected that’s why she’s doing it.” She said which kind of slap some s**t in me. Honestly, these past few days, or more specifically ever since we started college we barely talk to each other and spend time together like we used to be when we were in high school. Maybe the reason why she’s annoying the s**t out of me is that she just wants my attention and telling me to spend time with her the way we used to be. Geez! Why did I let my anger get the best of me? Dumb Lei!

“Thank you so much!” I said and then hugged her so tight.

“You’re welcome! I already experienced it before but, I wasn’t able to save our friendship. So, I am here giving you advice that, don’t let your anger and madness get the best of you.” She said and then tap my back before I unclasped the hug. Since our professor for our first class for this day, I decided to talk to Ellis and apologize to her. As I stand up from my seat, my eyes automatically search for her and the moment I saw her sitting all by herself on the back part of this room, I immediately walk towards her.

“Ellis!” I called her while she is busy on her phone. She just looked at me using those cold gazes of hers and then look back again on her phone. I know she is sullen towards me right now but I still decided to sit beside her.

“What are you doing here? I thought I am annoying you?” She said which made me smiled because confirmed! She is sullen towards me! I decided to wrap my arms around her first before speaking and thank goodness she didn’t remove it.

“I’m sorry Ellis! Please don’t be mad at me.” I said while looking at her.

“I am not mad, you are the one that’s mad right?” She said without looking at me.

“It was because you are annoying the s**t out of me every single morning! And you know how I hated unnecessary attention right?” I said and then I heard her let out a heavy sigh before looking at me. I was so surprised when I saw her eyes started to get teary, and geez she knows that I cannot handle her while she’s crying.

“I am so sorry Lei, but I just truly felt so sad because you are not giving attention to me anymore. You always go home with Blaze as well as have lunch with him. I thought you already forgot about your best friend so I decided to get your attention by annoying you and I guess that is a bad move because I just made you mad.” She said and then a teardrop from her eyes.

“No, no, no, I am so sorry if I ever make you feel that way. I am so sorry if I am not giving you attention like before. I promised you that I will be more vigilant and make you feel that I am still here.” I said and then hugged her so tight. I felt that Ellis hugged me back and we stayed like that for a moment until our professor arrived. While I am listening to our professor’s lecture, I suddenly remember the girl earlier and I need to thank her for waking me up. I almost lose my best friend because of my anger and madness, thank goodness, someone was able to wake me up.
