Chapter 25 — The Photograph
Amelia stared at the photograph in Alexander's hand.
“My father knew your father?”
Alexander nodded.
“Apparently, they knew each other very well.”
Amelia took the photograph carefully.
Her father's face looked younger than she remembered. Beside him stood Alexander's father, smiling as though they were old friends.
“But my father never told me about him,” Amelia whispered.
“Mine never mentioned your father either.”
Amelia turned the photograph over.
The six words written on the back made her uneasy:
They both knew the truth.
“What truth?” she asked.
Alexander looked at her.
“That’s what we need to discover.”
Suddenly, a small piece of paper fell from inside the photograph.
Amelia picked it up.
There was an address written on it.
