Ridge grabbed my shoulders and hurled me to the ground. I landed on my new fluffy carpet. Ridge threw himself at Severin, but he dodged him. Severin was older, more experienced, but Ridge was fast and threw wild punches. “No,” I begged. Severin dodged Ridge’s blow to the head and side punched him. “Please.” Oh no, Cassian. He can’t see this. I jumped between them, ready to receive whatever blow was about to reach me. Severin grabbed my waist instead and pulled me out of harm’s way.
