Holly's POV
“WELCOME!!!” I shuddered at the sudden shout of people and burst of balloons in the air.
A pretty girl ran to me and hugged me tightly.
“Hey,” I wriggled in her grip, “Take it easy.” I added, pulling away.
She giggled, not minding my attitude. “You're so pretty.”
“I know.” I turned my gaze to the others gathered around me. They smiled broadly at me.
One of them walked to me. A middle aged beautiful woman.
She held my hands. “You're welcome to Crescent Moon pack, dearest.”
I smiled pretentiously.
There was nothing to be happy about being forced to marry someone you don't like.
“I am Mike's mother and also the Luna of the pack for now.” She continued.
“Holly.” I simply said and the people wowed.
“What a gorgeous name.” I heard some of them say and rolled my eyes in my head.
“You have a beautiful name just like you look.” The girl who hugged me earlier said, “My name is Clara. I am the Alpha's younger sister.” She clapped her hands like a happy child, “I finally have a sister.”
Everybody laughed except me. I was getting bored with the long introduction. And I didn't want a sister. I was enough for myself.
“Your dad has told us so many things about you and I can't wait till you become Luna of our dear pack. I know you'll make a great Luna.”
I grimaced.
Not so fast. I should be asked if I want to be Luna first.
“You must be tired after a long journey.”
I gave another smile of pretense. I was indeed tired…of everything happening in my life at the moment.
“We went all out preparing for your arrival, my dear. Dinner is ready. Would you like to freshen up before joining us or you want to eat first?”
“I need a soft bath.”
The Luna’s smile broadened.
“Sarah,” She called and a girl from the crowd stepped out. “Show her to her room.”
“Yes, Luna.”
“Please,”
“Dave, take her suitcases to her room.” I heard the Luna command and turned to see a young male grabbing my boxes and following me.
I chuckled in my heart at the loads of suitcases my mom packed for me. Did she think I would stay here for the rest of my life?
No way.
I planned to leave this pack in a month time with a good reason.
We got to a corridor and I was shown my room. My boxes were packed inside too.
“I will prepare your bath now.” Sarah said and went to the bathroom. She returned to the room moments later, “It's ready. Enjoy your bath.”
I ignored her and walked to the bathroom. It was indeed a good bath. I washed up quickly and returned to my room to change only to meet a well bodied man was sitting on my bed.
I froze.
The air in my room had changed. My wolf surrendered to the intense energy in the room. But I held my head high.
I didn't need anyone to tell me he was the Alpha of the pack.
I looked down at myself. I was only tying a towel on my chest.
“What are you doing here?” I asked. It was rude to walk into a woman's room without her permission.
“I'm here to welcome you.” He answered, eyeing my towel.
I glared at him, tightening my arm around my chest to keep my towel intact.
“You should leave now.”
“That's rude.” He stood up, “I'm your Alpha… and mate. You should respect me.”
“You lost my respect when you walked into my room without my permission.”
“Hmm.” He gave me a belittling look, “I see.” and smiled mischievously. “We have a lot to catch up for. See you in the dinning.” He turned and left.
I sighed in relief.
The raw energy in the air neutralized after the Alpha left, allowing me to breath properly.
I had thought of the worst happening: him forcing me on bed.
My goodness! I hate men!
I couldn't think of one climbing over me without feeling disgusted.
I stamped my feet on the floor and took a deep breathe, calming myself.
It's okay, Holly. You just have one month to stay here. One month to prove to your dad that Alpha Mike isn't the one for you.
I took another deep breathe and dressed up. I went downstairs and joined the pack for dinner.
I found it weird that everyone was eating together. The Alpha and his family, the Beta and his family, and the omegas.
It was a large dinning room and they were all happy. I had my suspicion that they all live in the pack house too.
My pack was different. Only the Alpha families lived in the pack house with a few trusted in-staff and guards. Everyone else came to work in the pack house from their houses.
“When you finish eating you can go straight to your room and rest. We will talk tomorrow.” The Alpha said while slicing through his beef.
I ignored him, focusing only on my food even though I wasn't eating much. Everyone's gaze were on me and the tables became silent.
I looked up, “What is it?”
The Luna laughed pretentiously. “It's nothing. Go on, eat your food. Hey, everyone let's finish up.”
“Yes, Luna.” They all chorused and continued eating.
Dinner time was over and I retired to my room. I hugged one of the pillows and cried.
I couldn't get Maggie off my mind and worse, I hated this place. I didn't know when I fell asleep.
I heard the door creak and opened my eyes. I quickly turned on the table lamp and was shocked to find the Alpha's sister in my room.
“Why are you here?” I sat up.
“Sshh. I want to sleep in your room.”
“No. Go.” I laid back on the bed.
“Please, I will do whatever you want.”
I scoffed. “What do you think I want?”
“I know you don't like my brother, and that you're attracted to females sexually.”
My eyes widened.
How the hell did she find out?
“I know because I'm just like you. I'm attracted to females too.”
“That's not my business.” I turned, facing the wall.
I felt warmth behind me and turned to find the Alpha's sister lying beside me. I sat up quickly.
“How did you…? What are you—”
“Sshh.” She pressed her finger on my lips, “I know what you need. You can have my body.”
She pressed her lips on mine, kissing me.
Sweet sensation coursed through my body and my n*****s hardened. Her hand moved swiftly underneath my silk night garment and rubbed my c**t. I moaned softly, leaning back on the bed as her hand teased my c**t.
A gasp sounded and we looked at the door where it sounded from. Someone was peeping at us through the room door that was left ajar.
“s**t! You didn't close the door?” I scouted out of bed, running to the door.
“I'm sorry.”
Shit.
There was no one at the door when I looked but I caught a retracting shadow moving in the left corridor and followed it.
“Hey, don't go there.” The Alpha's sister ran after me.
I followed the shadow until I ran into the basement and all trace of the person I was pursuing disappeared.
I stopped in my track, taking the sight of a dirty sickly young man in the basement.
The Alpha's sister caught up with me, breathing heavily.
“Who is he?” I asked.
“Adrian's mate.”
I turned to look at her. “And who am I?”
She chuckled. “You're his chosen mate. He's his fated mate.”
