Chapter 5- The true Alpha of the pack revealed

Ava POV

“Because they are my pack members, not yours!”

I walk up onto the stage and come face to face with Matt and his father Alpha Percy. They both look gob smacked to see me.

“What do you mean it is your pack slave? Sunlight pack is MINE!” shouts Matt. How did the mood goddess ever think you were worthy of me? I think to myself.

“Tell them the truth Ava, lets finally take back what is ours” Jade encourages me.

“Well, you see Matthew….”

“It’s Alpha Matthew to you slave” Matthew interrupts me

“…. You are the alpha of the Sunlight pack, but those currently standing are not part of the Sunlight pack, isn’t that correct Ex-Alpha Percy?” I cross my arms over my chest and look at Percy, raising my eyebrow.

“That’s right” Percy responds before Matthew can answer, leaving Matthew standing there taken aback. I am slightly surprised that he even responded and didn’t try to lie his way out of this, but then again I am thankful for the small miracle.

“What do you mean father? Of course they are part of the Sunlight pack”

“No they’re not, you see Matthew your father attacked another pack years ago and killed the alpha. However, the Alpha of that pack knew what Percy was going to do so he put measures into place, the main being hiding the alpha ring so that Percy could not take over the pack.” I say, looking Percy straight in the eye as I answer Matthews’s question. “Isn’t that right? Isn’t that why you made me your packs slave and kept abusing me while demanding the return of the ring?”

Matthew is looking between me and his father, trying to get his small brain to figure it out. Whereas Percy is looking shocked that I know. “Yes, I attacked the pack but I took it over, I AM THEIR ALPHA NOW!” Percy screams.

“Oh, but you’re not because the alpha bloodline did not die with Tom.”

“What do you mean? Of course it did.” Percy exclaims

“Didn’t you ever wonder why I have the alpha ring?”

“Because you took it you thief! Now give me what is rightfully mine” Percy shouts

“Rightfully yours? You’re kidding right?”

“Who are you to stop me? You, the pack slave” Matthew says as he tries to grab the ring from the chain around my neck, using the conversation with his father to distract me.

“I have that right Matthew, you see your father attached the Moonlight pack who’s Alpha was Tom Knight…”

“Knight? But isn’t your name Knight?” Matthew asked, looking confused while stepping back towards his father.

“Yes it is. You see my full title is Alpha Ava Knight of the Moonlight pack. Whom you both have kept here illegally for years.”

The moonlight pack members howl and cheer as I finally recognize them as my pack and they can now recognize me as their alpha. The Sunlight pack look shocked, clearly not expecting this revelation. Alpha Percy and Matthew stand there looking at me with a mixture of anger and surprise.

“You…. You hid your lineage from us all of this time? What? Why?” Percy stammers

“What do you mean why? Because you would have killed me otherwise, though you certainly did try regardless. Besides, I did not remember as I had lost my memories from before the attack, you just assumed I was the betas daughter or something as I was hidden in my friends closet, never once thinking I was the Alphas daughter. But then you never bothered to learn his full name, did you?”

“Ava, you are my destined mate which means the Moonlight pack has to recognize me as their alpha. HA! I WIN and you will become my personal slave this time, doing whatever Regina and I want” Matthew claims, looking happy and excited.

“Where did you get that idea from Matthew? You rejected me five years ago, remember?” I retort, happily watching his smirk fade quickly away.

“YOU DID WHAT?!” Shouts Percy. Angry that he is about to lose two thirds of the pack, and realizing that his son was mated to me- their ticket to a big pack and a comfy life.

“I….I….I….. I, Alpha Matthew Kaede of the Sunlight pack hereby unreject my rejection of Alpha Ava Knight of the Moonlight pack” Matthew says while smiling, which quickly turns into a frown when we do not feel our bond reconnecting.

“What’s wrong? Wanted the bond back? Yeah, that’s not going to happen” I say while laughing, although I am myself confused as to why that did not work. I don’t want to be bonded with Matthew but still, that should have made the bond snap back into place.

“It’s because Ben will not allow him” Jade says sadly to me.

“What do you mean? How do you know Jade? I thought Ben would want us too?”

“Ben just told me himself. He does want us but there is something about Matt that he does not trust so he is fighting back against the bond. Ava quickly reject the unrejection”, Jade says with urgency.

“I, Alpha Ava Knight of the Moonlight Pack, hereby reaccept your rejection Alpha Matthew Kaede of the Sunlight pack. I also hereby state that we are no longer nor will we ever be mates again”, Jade and I say at the same time, both speaking together and in harmony.

Percy steps forward and slaps me across the face, “How dare you reject my son you b***h!”

Wow, men really have a stinking attitude towards women in the Kaede family I think to myself. I quickly compose myself and punch Percy in the face, with Jade lending me a bit of her power so that we knock Percy down.

“I did not reject your son you imbecile, I reaccepted his original rejection. For some reason he wants me back but I will never be mated to a self-centered man w***e who only thinks with his d**k than his miniscule mind.”

Regina then walks up and stands in between me and Matthew, but it is not me she is looking at.

“Matthew, why would you accept the slave? You said that you love me and I am to be your Luna.”

Matthew looks at her, Regina shrinks back under his ice cold glare “Shut up Regina, know your place. This pack is mine and I want it all! I don’t care whether Avas’ father was the alpha, the Moonlight pack integrated into the Sunlight pack when my father took over. Just because you are an alphas daughter Ava does not mean that you can stop being our slave.”

I look at Matthew after his outburst, I cannot believe he just said that. Does he really not love Regina, or anyone?

“The Moonlight pack never integrated into the Sunlight pack Matthew, for you see once the ring was passed to me, willingly by my father, I became the alpha. Therefore, when Percy slayed my father he did not slay the alpha of the pack.” I am relishing in the reactions of Regina, Percy and Matthew. These three made it their mission to make my life hell, but now I learned the truth and I can finally turn the tables and take back what is mine.

“So you see Matthew, this slave is and has always been more important and powerful than you have ever been. I am the alpha of the Moonlight pack, the biggest and strongest pack in England. I may have lost my memories and you forced me into servitude, but I have always been the alpha since the age of 7 years old. So I must thank you Matthew, if not for your rejection then I would never have discovered the truth.”

Matthew, Regina and Percy just stand there stunned, I am guessing they have finally realized what they had lost and all because Matthew was too stupid to accept me as his mate. Then again, Percy wasn’t smart either when he went boasting about what he was going to do to my dad, he thought my father would never hear. Like really? My dad was the most revered alpha to have ever lived, everyone respected him.

Percy, Matthew and Regina stomp off the stage and towards the pack house, followed by some members of the Sunlight pack. Everyone else remained.

Finally the drama is over with and I can address my pack.

“Members of the Moonlight pack I, Ava Knight, have returned will all of my memories and the alpha ring” I say while sliding the packs alpha ring onto my finger “I promise to lead and rule fairly and justly going forward from this day if you will accept me. Same to any members of the Sunlight pack, any who wish to join us are more than welcome”.

I expect to be met silence and scornful glares, instead I am met with smiling faces and cheers, as every member has accepted me as their alpha.
