The Alphas Miracle

Chapter 8

Nicole's POV:

I slipped into a deep sleep, that bed was the most comfortable thing I have felt in a long time. Evan slept in the bed with me and was very careful not to hurt me, even though my injuries were basically gone. We slept a few hours and I woke up before him. I turned over and studied his face. I wanted to take every detail in. He had freckles leading from his nose to under his eyes. His hair had perfect little curls around his ears. I gently rubbed his cheek with my thumb and he started to wake up. His eyes were so bright when he woke up. They were beautiful.

"Well good morning beautiful. How was the bed?" He asked.

"It was amazing. I think I fell asleep within a few minutes." I replied.

"Actually, you were out within two minutes. I've never seen someone drift off so fast." He said giggling. 

I got up and immediately got confused. There were other doors in here and I needed the bathroom.

"Bathroom is the one on the right." Evan said as if he read my mind.

"Thankyou!" I yelled as I ran in. I could hear him giggling after I went in. Tomorrow is my birthday. I don't know what is going to happen. Sky is really nervous as well. I think we are actually going to shift tomorrow and that scares me. Sky was trying to calm me down, but I wasn't listening.

We are going to be fine Nicole, trust me.

How do you know?

You have to trust me. It is going to happen tomorrow. Evan will be with us.

I know things will be okay, but how am I supposed to know that? We have never shifted, but I have heard having your mate with you makes it alot easier. I'm thankful Evan found me when he did. I decided I had been in the bathroom long enough. I stepped out and came out to see Evan standing there dressed nicely and holding a bouquet of flowers. He had a small box in his other hand and gave me a smile.

"I know your birthday is tomorrow, but I wanted to give you this. It's special and I wanted it to be just the two of us." He said. He handed me the box and I slowly pulled the ribbon. I opened the box and saw a necklace with a beautiful gold pendant of a wolf. It left me speechless.

"This necklace was my mothers. She had it on the day she died. I wanted you to have it." Evan said, holding back tears.

"Evan, its beautiful. I don't know what to say." I replied, trying not to cry as well.

"You don't have to say anything." He spoke softly as he took the necklace out of the box and put it around my neck.

"I hope you love it baby." Evan said as he kissed my cheek. I spun around and threw my arms around his neck. I kissed him over and over. I didn't think it would be enough to thank him.

"I love it. Thankyou so much." 

I gave him another kiss and we went downstairs to have breakfast. Lynn and James were downstairs already waiting for us.

"I didn't wanna bother you guys. I went to knock but I heard both of you being emotional so I left." Lynn said.

"Shut it sis." Evan said as he kissed my forehead.

"You two are ridiculous!" I yelled while turning my attention to the omegas, but I only thought there were two.

"What are your names?"

They looked at me like I was crazy. There were three of them, two girls and one boy. Was I not aloud to talk to them? I could tell two of them were mates, but the other girl looked to be no more then seventeen or eigtheen. 

"My name is Beth and this is my mate Jack, both of us are twenty two years old. We are happy to serve you Luna. We are so happy you are finally here. We were starting to get worried about the boss." She said as she giggled.

"And whats your name?" I asked the girl standing in the corner.

"My name is Ellie, " the girl spoke softly. I could see bruises under her collar. She kept pulling it up trying to hide them. 

"And how old are you Ellie?" 

"I'm seventeen." Ellie replied.

"You haven't shifted yet, how could you be an omega?" I asked.

"Baby, can we talk for a second?" Evan chimed in and grabbed my hand. We went into the living room of the pack house while everyone else stayed in the kitchen.

"You wanna explain why you have a teenager as an omega?" I yelled.

"It wasn't my choice. Her father made her. When I told her she didn't have to listen to him, she didn't. And he almost killed her. I've tried multiple times to have her taken away from him, but the elders say its not illegal for him to make her an omega. Beth is her sister, and I'm pretty sure she and her mate help with the beatings." He explained.

"Then I will take care of it. I would of thought you would of cared more about this type of thing." I said. I didn't give him a chance to try and change my mind or talk to me about it. I stormed out of the living room straight to the kitchen. I slammed my hands on the counter to make sure everyone knew I was mad.

"Who wants to explain to me why the f**k someone would do this to a teenager?" I screamed. Beth and Jack held their heads down.

"Oh no, I'm not stupid. You two played the suck up card soon as I entered this kitchen. You might be able to get away with this s**t with Evan because he is your Alpha. But guess what? I am the future Luna. FUTURE, which means I don't belong to a pack. Therefor I could kill you if I really wanted to. I could lie my way out of it too just like you two have. Now, go get your pathetic excuse of a father and bring him here." I explained.

"Excuse me, but who do y.." Beth tried talking but I cut her off.

"GO GET HIM NOW!" I yelled.

"That's an order." Evan finally joined me and took my side. I grabbed his hand and mouthed "thankyou" to him. He simply kissed my forehead and sat down to eat his breakfast. I turned my attention back to Ellie.

"When will you shift for the first time?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. I don't remember when my birthday is." She said crying.

"Thats okay, do you know your last name?"

"Yeah, Savage."

"Perfect, I'll find your birthday and we will celebrate." I said cheerfully. As I spoke, I heard someone come down, and I knew it was Eddie. But he was in a hurry. I saw Evan grab him by the shoulder and walk outside.

"I will be right back, please eat breakfast. Don't worry, we will protect you." I said as I went outside.

"Whats going on Evan?" I asked.

"Well, it would seem that Ellie is Eddies mate. She won't know until she gets her wolf a week before her eigtheenth birthday." Evan explained.

"She doesn't even know her own birthday! Her last name is Savage, find out when it is so we can get prepared. I am going to keep her way from her father one way or another." I said.

"This is all great, but what about me? I can't sit by and watch this s**t happen to her. She is my mate." Eddie said.

"I know, and her father is on his way here now. I will take care of it." Evan tried to reassure him. 

"Can I atleast meet her? I want her to know she isn't alone. Please." Eddie begged.

"I think he can do that. Besides, she will still feel the sparks from him being her destined mate. She will feel way better with him dealing with her dad." I explained, hoping Evan agreed.

"Alright, can you go get her and bring her to the living room babe?" Evan asked.

"Yep, be right back." I went back in the house and found Ellie back in the kitchen cooking. 

"Ellie, can you come with me to the living room?"

"Uhm, yeah, I mean yes. Coming!" She squealed.

"Don't act like that with me. I don't want you to feel any type of way because I am Evans mate. I am the future Luna, but I am fair. And what's happening with you isn't. So I'm taking care of it." I saw a small smile creep up her face but it quickly went away when she saw everyone sitting in the living room.

"Whats going on?" She asked. I looked at Eddie and nodded. He stood up and slowly walked over to her.

"Hi Ellie, I'm Eddie." He said as he grabbed one of her hands. The look on her face explained it all. She immediately grabbed him and pulled him to her and she started to cry. 

"Shhhh, it's okay. I am here now." Eddie said trying to soothe her.

"My father is going to kill me." She yelled.

"Why?" I asked.

"He said I didn't have a mate, that I didn't deserve one for killing my mother. She died giving birth to me." Ellie broke down in tears.

"Baby, that isn't your fault." Eddie explained and reached down and kissed her. At that same time, Ellie's father threw open the door and stopped when he saw Eddie and Ellie.

"What the f**k is going on here?" He yelled.

"Father, he is my mate."
