The Alphas Miracle

Chapter 7

Nicole's POV:

It was just Evan and I left in the room and my head started to hurt. I could hear multiple voices in my head telling me to come back or else. That I was dead. I started to freak out and Evan noticed. He took my hands in his and looked at me in the eyes.

"Sever the connection with your old pack. It will be the only way that they can never hurt you again. And if they ever find you, we will be right beside you." He said. I closed my eyes and paused. I knew it was going to hurt and I was already in the hopsital. So I opened my eyes and looked at Evan and spoke out loud.

"I, Nicole Kade, hereby reject the Jade Moon Pack and sever all connections I have to anyone in it."

When those words left my lips, I felt a huge pain in my chest. I almost fell out of the bed grabbing my chest as I felt the connection rip from the inside. I took a deep breath and then it was over.

"Once we have a proper mating ceremony and introduce you as Luna, then I will mark you and you will officially be apart of the Blood Moon Pack." Evan said.

"Could we possibly do it sooner? I don't wanna anything to do with them. I need to move on." I replied. He looked at me worriedly. 

"I don't want to mark you unless you are ready. I refuse to do it if you are only wanting to do it to protect yourself. I understand, but I don't think it would be fair. It could happen sooner, but that depends on us really. Just give it time. I promise, I will protect you. We all will." He spoke softly and kissed my forehead. I couldn't resist pulling him down into a kiss. He was my mate afterall. I needed to accept him and accept my new life. 

Evan's POV:

I knew the worst was going to come. Her pack was going to come for us. We killed their pack members, but the elders accepted it because they were abusing their own member, not to mention using her as a breeder, which was illegal. The Jade Moon Pack had gone into hiding because the elders wanted John dead for what he did. They would give him the ultimate torture before he would be granted death, and that is if he didn't find me first. I would tear him limb from limb for what he had allowed to happen to her. I don't know why he would allow anything to happen to any of his pack members.

He deserved the death sentence he signed for himself. I was going to make sure he paid for what he had done one way or another. 

"Are you okay?" Nicole whispered.

"Yes, I'm just angry, but it will pass. How about we just get to know each other a little bit?" I asked. She nodded so I began with the simple ones first.

"How old are you? When is your birthday?" I asked.

"I am twenty years old. My birthday is July eighteenth." She responded.

"You are twenty and you haven't shifted?" I said in disbelief. She put her down in shame.

"No. Sky doesn't know why either. She just says we are special."

"Well, your birthday is in three days, I promise to make it the best you have ever had." I said cheerfully. Nash was jumping with joy in my mind at the thought of doing something for our mate. We had to make her happy, she deserved all the happiness in the world.

"So, when is your birthday?" Nicole asked, breaking the silence.

"Mine is April seventeenth. I turned twenty five this year."

"I'm sorry we didn't find each other before your birthday." Nicole said shyly.

"It's okay. We have next year and every other one after that." I said as I smiled.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Mine would have to be green and black. What about yours?" I asked.

"Turquoise and lavender." Nicole replied.

"Well I will have to keep that in mind." I said as I kissed her forehead once more.

We continued talking for what seemed like hours until she started to fall asleep. She loved the simple things in life and wanted nothing more then to please everyone around her. She never once stopped to care about herself. Sky and Nash were talking in our minds the whole time we were. He let me know Nova was asleep and I looked down and saw Nicole was sound asleep. I grabbed her hand in hopes it would stop any nightmares from happening again and tried to sleep myself. I had alot to prepare for her.

Nicole's POV:

When I woke up, I thought I was dreaming. So much had happened in the last 3 days, I couldn't wrap my head around it. I felt the sparks radiating through my body and could feel they were coming from my hands. I looked down and saw a sleeping Evan holding my hands in his while sleeping in a rather uncomfortable looking position in a chair beside my bed. I slowly tried moving my hands out from his so I could wake him up, but to my amusement, he grabbed my hands and pulled them to him, pulling me almost out of the bed with it. 

"Ouch!" I yelled as he gripped on my hands, causing him to wake up in a panic.

"Are you okay? What happened? Who hurt you?"

"You did! You pulled me to you in your sleep. You almost dragged me out of the bed." I said while laughing.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to. I should of been more careful."

"It's okay. Seriously." I said trying to reassure him it was alright.

"Lynn and James will be in soon. Eddie is getting everything ready for you at the pack house. You should be able to leave today or tomorrow. Which is nice since someones birthday is coming up."

"No. I don't want anyone to make a big deal out of my birthday. I have never done anything for my birthday since my parents past away. I don't want to start now." I said.

"I don't care what you say. The pack is happy you are coming, and the fact that your birthday is coming just gives everyone a perfect excuse to celebrate. Besides, I have something special planned for you. You wouldn't want to miss it, would you?" He said while grinning.

"Ugh, whatever. If I get uncomfortable, don't get mad." I said, giving up the argument too quickly.

"Lynn and James are here. They will come keep you company while I go talk to the doctor." He gave me a quick kiss, catching myself and Sky off guard and walked out. Not two seconds later, Lynn and James walked in. 

"How are you feeling princess?" James asked.

"I have seen better days I guess. What about you two? Anything new since yesterday?" I asked jokingly.

"Well, actually, I wanna know what you did to my brother. He's like a completely new person. I like it, but some people are wondering if your actually real. Ha." Lynn said laughing. 

"Don't mind her. Evan is usually very strict and stern. He tries not to show emotion. Now that you showed up, it's like hes been replaced honestly. We just aren't used to it. He has been so nice the last couple days. We just wanna thankyou for that." James responded to Lynns remark.

"I don't know what you mean. Has Evan always been mean or something?" I asked. James and Lynn looked at each other and then back at me.

"That is something for you and him to discuss at a further point in time princess." James said.

"Anyways, so I hear, your birthday is in two days now? You are going to be twenty one girl! You can finally go to human bars and drink. We have to go out and celebrate one day. It will be my treat!" Lynn squealed.

"Sounds good to me." I responded. I liked Lynn. I could tell we were going to be friends. I felt a connection with her, but she was also Evans sister and you feel that connection with direct family members of your mate. As I was thinking about my upcoming birthday and the shenanigans Lynn and I were going to get into, Evan came back into the room and smiled at me.

"Well, looks like you will be able to leave tonight after all. How does that sound?" Evan said.

"Sounds great to me." He smiled at my response as he sat on the bed and pulled me to his side.

"We will see you two in a couple hours then." James said as they waved and walked out the door. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen for us. 

A couple hours went by in no time and Dr. Quinn came in and did one last look over and was very impressed with how well my injuries had healed.

"There is almost no sign that you were even injured. I can still see them, don't get me wrong, but I think they will be completely gone by tomorrow. A good night sleep in an actual bed will do you some good I think." Dr. Quinn said. I started to cry and Evan stroked my head trying to make me feel better.

"What's wrong babe?" He asked.

"I have never had a bed to sleep on ever since I was a little girl. I don't even know what they feel like anymore." I said trying not to sound too pathetic.

"I have the best bed in the world, it is yours. Well, it is ours. I will let you have it tonight and I will sleep beside it on the couch." Evan said. I could tell he wasn't trying to overstep his boundaries. 

"It's okay. You can sleep in the bed with me. I don't really mind." I looked down, I could feel my cheeks turning red.

"It's settled. I'll get your paperwork signed and you will be on your way. Congrats again Alpha. It was a pleasure meeting you Nicole. I'm happy we finally have our Luna." Dr. Quinn smiled and walked out of the door. Ten minutes later, we were in the car on the way to Evan's pack house. I learned on the way that only him, Lynn and James, Eddie and two Omegas lived in the house. The other pack members had their own houses all around the territory. The members who didn't have a mate yet could live wherever they wanted or, stay in the group house which is directly beside the main pack house where Evan lives. He treated his Omegas actually very well. They were given an allowance every month and had everything a normal ranking member would have.

We arrived and I was amazed by the size of the house. It was three stories high and had balconies around each floor and the entrance had a wrap around porch. It was perfect and I already felt at home. As we entered, most of the pack were already there. They all bowed and greeted Evan and everyone called me Luna. Some people were crying. I was almost overwhelmed and I think knew I was.

"Alright everyone, time to go home. You can all meet her at her birthday which is officially tomorrow since it is past midnight. I want everyone to get some sleep and we will meet in a few hours and start preparing. We we join up tomorrow in the courtyard at noon and party until we can't anymore. Our Luna is home!" Evan yelled. Everyone yelled and screamed with excitement. I felt accepted and loved. I couldn't stop the few tears that fell from my eyes. I quickly wiped them and smiled. I waved goodbye to everyone as they left and turned to Evan.

"Can I please go to bed now? I am beat." I asked.

"Let's go to bed." Evan replied. 

I couldn't help myself and gave him a kiss. A real kiss. The sparks that flew from it were indescribable. I felt love, happiness, I felt safe, I felt accepted all in that moment. He picked me up bridal style while our lips were still locked and he began the walk up the stairs. I pulled away from him, Sky was howling in my mind, begging me to keep going. I was tired and I wasn't ready to go any further. 

He kept going up the stairs, never putting me down. His room was at the very top. We finally reached his room and he quickly opened the door, stepping inside and kicking the door shut with his feet. He laid me on the bed where I sunk into it. It felt amazing. I saw Evan slip into bed beside me, putting his arm around me. Sparks erupted throughout my body, and it was extraordinary. That mixed with the feeling of being in an actual bed had me on cloud nine. I turned towards Evan and gave him a smile.

"Thankyou for everything. I can't tell you what this means to me." I said.

"You are my world, I would do anything for you. Now get some sleep." He gave me a quick peck on the lips and I quickly drifted to sleep.
