The Alphas Miracle

Chapter 12

Evans POV:

Everyone was running around screaming and crying. The last gift Nicole opened was a bomb. Who would give her that? Micah knew as soon as I said it but I can’t find him anywhere. He took the box and ran outside then it went off.

Lynn was consoling Nicole while James and I looked for Micah.

“He’s over here!” Yelled a Pack member. The blast threw him about thirty feet and he had tables and various other bits and pieces covering him. We carefully pulled everything off of him and saw a horrific sight.

The bomb has been laced with wolfsbane and acid. The wolfsbane made him unable to move while the acid ate away at his skin. He had it mostly on his chest but some got in his face and he was moaning in pain.

“Go grab baking soda from the kitchen! Now!” Nicole yelled. Her and Lynn had made their way over to us and Lynn was frantically making calls on her phone. Eddie was checking everyone else to make sure they were okay.

“Call the elders, and find the best hospital we can get him to. Bring the car around!” I yelled.

James came back with the soda and Nicole quickly sprinkled it all over Micah’s wounds. I watched the acid neutralize and he seemed to relax a bit.

Dr. Quinn got in the car with us and have him a sedative to help him get to the hospital.

“Best hospital is the Grand Central, and if you hurry we can make it within the hour.” She said.

“I’m on it!” James said and we felt him press the gas.

“Eddie stay here and watch over everything. I’ll link you with details later.” I said rolling up the window.

The drive seemed to take forever and I could tell everyone was on edge. Nicole was sitting beside Micah holding his hand while Dr. Quinn kept an eye on his vitals. He seemed like he wanted to talk but he couldn’t even open his mouth. His eyes kept shooting open the slowly close. Nicole closed her eyes and squeezed his hand.

“Micah doesn’t want live anymore.” Nicole said with sadness.

“What did you just say?” I asked.

“I don’t know, he said he doesn’t wanna live like this.” She replied.

“He feels like he’s going to be a burden on everyone. I think I read his mind?”

“Try on me.” I said. I watched her close her eyes and she seemed to focus.

“I’m saying this to myself only, if you can hear my thoughts nod.”

I repeated that in my mind a few times and I saw her finally nod.

“Micah, I know you can hear me. I promise we will take care of you. I will make sure we find who is responsible and they will be served a death sentence. I assure you.” I said to him softly.

“He knows.” Nicole said smiling. I gave her a kiss as we pulled into the hospital.

Nicole jumped out immediately while the car was still moving and I couldn’t stop her. She rushed inside and came back out with nurses and doctors pushing a gurney.

“He’s been attacked with an acid and wolfsbane bomb. Please help him!” She yelled. She was already caring for everyone like a true Luna would. She was still wearing my mothers dress and I saw a glimpse of her for a moment. I thanked the Moon Goddess there for her. I don’t know how I would of kept my cool during the attack if I hadn’t had her.

Unknown POV:

Doctors were running around everywhere ordering nurses to go wherever they were needed.

“We have a member of the Blood Moon Pack! Are you available? We need all hands on deck!” Said a doctor to me.

“Of course! Lead the way!”

I followed the doctor to the elevator and went to the third floor. All the nurses were running around and screaming at each other.

“I can’t believe someone would attack the Blood Moon Pack!”

“I heard it was meant for the Luna but the Gamma took it!”

I couldn’t stand gossip.

“Everyone shut it! Get back to work and save lives. That’s why we are here!”

“Yes ma’am!” They all said.

I was the head nurse when it came to the supernatural. I was a witch and werewolf hybrid. I had powers to heal what the wolf part of me couldn’t. Whenever someone came in with supernatural injuries, I’m usually called in to fix it if no one else can.

I was escorted down the hall to the second room on the right. I saw a few people standing outside that I could only assume was the Alpha and Luna.

“What else can be done?” I heard him say.

“Honestly I don’t know. This should have killed him but your Lunas fast thinking may have saved him. I won’t know until he’s awake.” The doctor said as he turned my way.

“Ahh! Tara! If anyone can fix him, it’s this woman right here.” He said grabbing my shoulders.

“Thankyou Doc, but I’m just doing my job. Hello, I’m Tara, I’ll be helping your?” I asked.

“Our Gamma, Micah. And Thankyou, I’m Evan, Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack and this is my Luna Nicole.”

“Pleasure, just wish it was under different circumstances.” I replied.

I opened the door and I never could get used to the smell of medicine. It was a clean smell, and it burned my throat sometimes. But there was something else. It smelled like coffee and vanilla, it was very faint but I could smell it. I looked at the man laying on the bed, covered in bandages and grabbed his hand. It was the only way I would know. As soon as our skin touched, I felt a small spark. The wolfsbane in his system was blocking all his scents and wolf abilities, but you can’t deny the feeling you get when you find your mate.

I held back tears as I looked over him, bandages and IV’s everywhere, even his face. I would make pure again. I would take the pain away. It was my job, but he was my mate and I wanted him back to perfection.

“Alpha, may I speak with you privately? Luna, you can stay in here with him if you’d like.” She simply nodded and sat beside Micah. We stepped out of the room and he knew immediately.

“He is your mate isn’t he?” He asked.

“Yes, and if I’m going to do my job correctly, I’ll need you and your Luna to trust me. Wolves don’t take kindly to witches.”

“Your a witch?”

“Witch/wolf hybrid actually. And because he is my mate, I will do things a little differently. He will be whole again, like nothing ever happened.”

“Will he remember what happened?”

“It really depends, but I can make him remember just not the pain.”

“He needs to know what happened. Please just fix him. I know he will be happy if he wakes up to his mate.” I nodded and we went back in the room.

“Baby, come here and stand with me. Tara has some things to do, and you have to trust her.” He said to Nicole. She was still crying but managed to say okay.

I approached Micah and placed my hands on his chest. I recited the oldest spell I could think of, it took a few minutes to say the whole thing. I glanced at the couple with me and the Luna looked scared. The Alpha was rubbing her back and whispering in her ear.

When I was finished, I lifted my hands up to his head and placed one on his forehead and the other around his hand. Then I recited the same spell again. After I was finished I looked at Evan and Nicole. She still looked nervous but hopeful. Evan just stood and held her. I turned back to Micah and started taking off his bandages covering his chest wounds, then moved to his face. I removed the last piece and both the Alpha and Luna gasped.

“How?!” She yelled.

“Magic and love. He is my mate, so I wanted to make sure he is good as new.” I replied.

Her facial expression went from nervous to happy.

“I knew it! I could just tell by how you held his hand.” She said. I just smiled at her and turned my attention back to Micah. I checked him over one more time and his chest wounds were completely gone. I looked at his face and the holes were filling back in. I rubbed my thumb across the last one and watched it disappear. The sparks increased rapidly and I got caught up in it. I stood there rubbing his cheek for a minute when his eyes opened. He jolted up and grabbed my arm, he looked angry. It caught me off guard and I stumbled back. He was still holding my wrist and I fell to the ground.

“Micah, relax. Your in the hospital! She’s helping you!” Nicole said to Micah.

He let go of my wrist and looked at them with a confused face. Then looked down at me and his eyes caught mine and we stared at each other. I stood up and he grabbed me again, this time around the waist. He pulled me close and inhaled my scent. I finally found him.

My mate.
