(Wyatt’s POV) After April fell back to sleep, most of us left the room. I wanted Alex to sleep as well but he wouldn’t. He just lay there, watching April as if he thought some mysterious force was going to come and whisk her away or something. Things have been so hard for him, yet he never complains about any of it. He just does what he needs to do and never looks back. I was always proud of my boys. But in all this strife we’ve been dealing with, I’ve watched both my boys grow into men and I’ve never been more proud.
