(April’s POV)
With everything that happened over the weekend, we all decided to take today off from school. I was kind of surprised the adults let us, to be honest. Right now, I think school is the only normal thing happening around here.
Yesterday, my Grandma and Grandpa showed up right after the lunch rush was getting over. They wanted to spend some time with me before we went to the conference room. They also weren’t happy to find out I was actually in the hospital. It took me a good forty-five minutes to get it through to them that I was fine. Poor Austin just kept apologizing because he felt bad for putting everyone through even more stress.
Then Destiny and Bethany showed up and the process began all over again. Though it took less time since my grandparents had finally settled
