(April’s POV)
After our meeting, I went over to Austin and gave him a big hug, “Goddess, I’m happy to see you up and about. How're you feeling?” I asked and he smiled at me as he said, “I’m okay, little sis. Thanks to you and everyone else. Raring to go kick some badguy a**!” He chuckled and I laughed with him.
The adults were across the room talking over a strategy for going after the Alpha’s and, of course, Alex was over there with them. I had no idea what was being said but Elder Leo kept giving Alex these weird looks and Grandpa Noah and Grandpa Cuddles were sort of shaking their heads while Dad and Uncle Teddy were taking turns speaking. I got curious so I made my way over there. As I grew close, I heard Alex saying, “...to go on missions! It’s too soon! Not happening.”
