Elijah POV

I received a text from the hospital " Your mom's sicknesses is getting worse and worse you better come and visit her " I have 30 minutes so I should hurry up before the Lunch break ends so I got on my bike , i reached the hospital I went towards my mom's room and stood outside there she was lying on the bed her face pale she looks like their is no life left inside her as I was watching her someone put their hands on my shoulder I turned around and saw the doctor " You know that your mom's situation is getting worse everyday " I just noded " how long are u not going to forgive her she needs you right now " where was she when I needed her the doctor seems to be taken back at what I just said we were silent I saw the time and I don't have much time , is it okay if I pay this month's bill a little late I asked the doctor " yeah that's okay " thank you umm I need to go otherwise I am gonna be late for school I walked out of the hospital got on my bike and drove to my school I was sweating hard because it is so hot now I reached the school parked my bike and walked towards the school as I was walking my eyes feel on selah she was sitting silent resting her back on the tree she looked sad really sad I wonder what this girl is doing here skipping her lunch she is already skinny she got up and started walking towards the school maybe she is going to her next class we have 5 more minutes before our class so I thought of going to my class I walked to my class as I reached my class I saw Selah sitting silently why is she always alone I started walking towards her and sat beside her I saw she was looking at me why is this girl always looks at me but doesn't speak I really love her voice , we were silent she gave me her water bottle I took it and started drinking damn I was so thirsty i gave her water bottle back and said thank you she gave me a warm smile at the moment i felt something I can't really name it what I wanted to ask her number but I heard that the students were entering so I didn't asked her , the class started the teacher was explaining us some things I didn't really pay attention my attention was all on my mom I didn't know when the class ended I heard everyone walking out so I walked out of the class I got in my bike I was driving slow because there was so much inside my head I don't want to get into any accident as I was driving

I saw Selah walking home wow we live in same neighborhood I don't know why but I feel a pull towards her I know it's crazy because we just met we don't even know each other but she looks sad I reached my home and unlocked my door I went in grabbed a soda and started thinking of ways to earn more money I need to pay my mom's bill I didn't know when I felt asleep I woke up and saw that it was 6 in the evening I saw outside of my window and saw Selah taking a stroll outside what the heck what is she doing outside it's already getting dark outside i immediately walked outside it's not safe I started walking towards her when she heard my footsteps she turned around by the look of her face I can see that she was scared .
