Chapter Nine: Show Some Spine.

812 Words
“Weird. I didn’t take you for his type. How do you guys know each other?” her eyes immediately went to mine. “We dated for about 4 years back in high school.” I said, quite smugly too. “Oh… wow. I never took Colt for the long-term kind of guy. While I dated Brad, I don’t think I saw him with a girl more than a night. ” I couldn’t tell if she was being funny or being a b***h. “I’m sure it’s hard to find someone new, that can compare to someone you’ve been used to for so long. ” She added, and she almost seemed sincere for a moment. “Definitely. Well, I’m going to get back to the party, nice meeting you.” I got the hell out of there before things got much more complicated than they needed to be. I couldn’t find Colt right away once I left the bonfire, it had gotten so dark, I was struggling to see properly. I wandered around for a little bit until I saw the light of his phone out by where everyone had parked. “Hey. ” He said, as he pulled me in close enough to feel him breathe. “Oh, hey…” “Listen... Monica is actually really nice. I think she feels like by staying friends with the rest of us, she and Brad will get back together. I feel bad, because he couldn’t care less what happens with them. He's kind of a douche. I could tell you were feeling some way towards her, and I wanted to clear that up - she's just a friend.” I love that he still knows me after all of these years, and knows exactly what needs to be said to keep my mind at ease. “Sorry, I guess some things don’t change, I was a little uneasy when I saw her by you.” I explained myself too, in an effort to sound less crazy than I had felt. “It’s fine. Things are weird right now. But don’t worry. I’m being honest with you, okay?” “Okay.” Before I could say anything else, he put both of his hands on the sides of my head and pulled me in for a kiss. My heart began to race, and I could feel my whole body heat up. I grabbed on to his belt on the back of his pants to pull him in closer. I don’t know what comes over me when I get around him. He’s all I want. I can’t keep my hands off him. He quickly broke our kiss to drop the tailgate on the back of his truck. He quickly picked me up and hopped up, and sat next to me. “Remember the first time we came out here? We stayed up the whole night, watching the stars.” He laughed and looked over at me. The moonlight was reflecting in his big beautiful ocean eyes. “You made fun of me because I asked why the stars didn’t move like the clouds…” we both laughed again. This time, I leaned in to kiss him. With his large hand sprawled on the side of my head and neck, as his mouth melted into mine. He deepened the kiss while I pulled him on top of me, slinking his hand up my skirt, pulling off my panties, and tossing them to the side, he teased me. I let out soft moans as he slithered his hand between my thighs, it didn’t take long for me to find myself in a sweaty embrace of heavy breathing during my release. “Christ. What are we 16 again?” we both laughed. I wasn’t kidding. We were doing all the things we had done as kids all over again, only this time, we took the time to appreciate one another, to appreciate the passion. “We should get back before they send out a search party for us… to be continued.” He added in, while helping me get down. “Yeah, we’ve been gone for a little bit.” I chimed in. “Hey… you want these, kid?” he shot my panties back at me like rubber band. “Oh hell. Not funny.” “I like to think I’m a pretty hilarious guy.” He joked, while pulling me in close and kissing my forehead. He grabbed my hand and we headed back to the party, laughing and reminiscing about the last party we attended together. Colt mentioned wanting to head back to his parent’s place before it got too late. I had to agree. I couldn’t wait to get him back home, and have him hold me the rest of the night. But honestly... I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
