Chapter 5

We had the same near run in at work again.  Tracey and Penelope seemed to be in the area a lot more now. And they keep coming in here. My instincts are telling me that they are looking for someone in particular. I wanted to confront them tomorrow, but if it was me or Jackson they were looking for, I didn't want to confirm their suspicion. That would just be plain stupid. We ended up driving home in silence. I wish I had asked Ms. Mapp to take me by the store. I still hadn't bought Jackson his birthday present yet. Then again, I didn't know what I wanted to get him in the first place.           "Hey, can we go to the mall real quick? I want to look around out some things."           "Okay. Any store in particular you wanted to look in?"           "Victoria Secret's." I blushed as I said that. I knew that he wouldn't follow me into that particular store. That way I could follow him around. "I'm probably going to be a while so I'll sniff you out when I'm finished." He nodded looking embarrassed. He may have been interested in sleeping with me but he was raised a gentleman. After separating, I circled around the mall to find him. He was at the Gamestop. He was looking at games for the Wii. Mainly the Legend of Zelda and Mario Kart games. I knew that he wanted a Wii but I was wondering why he hadn't bought one yet. After he left, I quickly bought one and had it where I could pick it up tomorrow when I would come back to buy the games.           Afterwards, I bought some random undergarment sets. I found Jackson sitting in the food court with two McDonald strawberry milkshakes. "Here. I know you have been wanting one for two weeks." I smiled at him.           "Thanks babe." After we drank our milkshakes, he drove us back home. I cooked us some dinner. We had some spaghetti with homemade garlic bread. I also fixed some Koolaid. Sometime after mom was arrested, Jackson made it his personal vendetta to have me try a lot of new things that I've never had due to the type of life that I lived. I had my first cup of koolaid immediately after getting out of the hospital. It was really sweet.           "Can you make those ice cream sundaes again? I have all the ingredients for banana splits." He grinned and chuckled at me. I had my first banana split last week.           "Okay. How many bananas do you want on yours? Two like last time?" I nodded my head enthusiastically. I really liked banana splits now. I wondered if mom or dad liked them too. We ate them after he finished making them. I ate mine too fast and got my second brain freeze. My first one was with the first banana split. Jackson laughed at me again. "I told you not to eat it so fast." I pouted while gripping my head.           "Well it isn't like I've eaten ice cream all my life! I'm still new to this." I sniffed. I looked at the time and saw that it was 11:30. "Okay. You need to go now so we don't break curfew." He left after a brief make out session. I then took a shower and went to sleep. I had stopped dreaming after I had turned into a werewolf. But tonight was different. I dreamed of the twins. Kendra looked to be trying to defend Kiara but was losing badly. But I couldn't exactly see the attacker. It looked to be a she. I saw the attacker pull out a silver knife. I could smell the metallic smell. I screamed out for Kendra to watch out.            I woke up drenched in sweat and breathing hard. I had to try to control my breathing to avoid having a panic attack. Someone busted into my room and almost ruined the entire process. With my enhanced eyesight, I was able to see that it was only Jackson. He must have heard my screams through the walls again. He turned on the light. I started motioning for the inhaler that I always kept in my bedside table. He quickly grabbed it out and gave it to me.           "What happened? Are you okay?"           "It's okay. I'm okay. I just, had another nightmare." He looked at me like I was crazy. I had told him about how my dreams usually went. He even encouraged me to keep a dream journal. Whenever I had a dream, I would write about it.           "You haven't had a dream since you transformed."          "I know that! We have got to find a better word than transformed to describe the process from turning into a werewolf from being human." I shook my head banishing that from my head momentarily. I was proud of myself for stopping the panic attack before Jackson got into my room. Then I would have had to tell him about me going off of my med's. I once told him that taking pills in front of people made me nervous.           "Are you sure that you're fine?" I nodded. "Okay. Don't forget to take the Paxil later on this morning. I heard you slowly freaking out but it seems to have subsided." He looked me over and then walked out. I sighed. This was going to hard with a boyfriend who could hear and smell your every bodily reaction. I tried to go back to sleep but found that I couldn't.           I decided that if I can't sleep anymore that I would write down my dream in the journal. I wrote down as many details that I could recall about the dream. By the time I was finished with that, it was six in the morning. I got up and cooked some breakfast. I made bacon, scrambled four cheese eggs, buttermilk pancakes, and fried potatoes. I felt like being the normal housewife. I knocked on Jackson's door to let him know that breakfast was ready. He was already dressed and ready for school. He probably couldn't go back to sleep either. Hopefully today would be less stressful.
