Un-Ordinary Girl: New Start

Chapter 4

          I moped around for the rest of the night after our meeting of sorts. I really wanted my cousins to live with me. I really did. But how do I break it to the principal that I have been lying to her for almost two years! I don't want to have to break it to her like that. Me thinking about it so much made me feel so bad that I vomited. I finally was able to sleep after that. I always got very sleepy after throwing up.

          I got up the next morning and took a shower. I didn't take one after I got back in last night. When I got out, I realized that I had left my clothes on my bed. And that included my bra and pantie set that I got two weeks ago. They had emoji's all over them. I thought they were cute so I bought them. I went back to my room forgetting the fact that I was wrapped in a thin My Little Pony towel.

          When I walked in, Jackson was sitting on my bed staring at my bra and pantie set. I put my hands out to grab them back but tripped over my falling towel. Jackson reacted quickly and caught me before I could get hurt. The only problem now was that I'm naked in Jackson's arms, breathing hard, and officially horny as f**k. Jackson was panting hard as well. I could see the battle he was having in his eyes. I felt the same way. We were leaning towards each other when we heard the door open.

          "Katelyn! I'm here to take you to your appointment." That's when we broke apart. I quickly got dressed. Jackson helped. By the time she reached my room, I had my notes from yesterday's history class out. "There you are. Hi Jackson."

          "Good morning Ms. Mapp. I'll see you later Katelyn. I'll pick you up after school."

          "Okay." After he left, my lawyer Ms. Rachel Mapp, had a whole line of questioning for me.

          "Why was he here so early in the morning?"

          "He checks on me in the morning before school. We usually ride with each other to school to save gas."

           "Okay. But you two were in your bedroom. You need to be careful. Anyway, you said that you needed to talk to me about something important?"

          "Yeah. If it was found that I had relative in the system that were younger than me, would they be able to come and live with me?"

          "It would depend on how much younger they are. If they are between one to three years younger, then yes. They need to be able to stay home without you there. But you would have to have additional income. Not just the money that you are getting from the government. Why the sudden interest? Have you thought of some other relatives that we couldn't find?"

          "Not quite." I said a bit nervous. We were about a block from my shrinks house. We haven't been at her office since my first panic attack with her. The white walls made me feel like I was back at the hospital. "You see, these two girls just started at my high school. They're a set of twins actually. And Ms. Monroe asked me and Jackson to be their mentors because they are sort of in the same situation as us. Only they just lost their parents two months ago." When we pulled up to my shrinks house, she paused before unlocking the car doors.

          "If you and their case manager think that you are what is best for those two, then I will help you fight for custody. But if they don't think they would be fine with you, then there probably won't be much I can do to help. But that would also mean that the courts know more about your psychiatric evaluations and the medicine you take for your panic attacks."

          "What ever it takes to get them in my care because I know for a fact that they would be better living with me." And I was serious. They were werewolves like me and Jackson. They need a mother figure anyway. After my talk with shrink know it all,  Ms. Mapp drove me home. She told me that she would get in contact with some people including the twins case manager to get me custody of them. It was definitely something that was considered unusual in the regular world. A teenager trying to become responsible for two other teenagers. But they we are family.

          "Katelyn?" I looked over at Jackson. He had come to pick me up just like he said he would. "What has you so distracted? You haven't gushed on the fact that I actually took great notes today."

          "I will be fighting for the custody of Kendra and Kiara soon. And as far as I know, it is going to be very difficult. Because of shrink know it all and the panic attack med's, I might be deemed unfit to help them. Then there is the fact I would need to have a job that the school will have to know about. Which means I have to tell everyone about the convenience store job soon." It was really depressing thinking about how I lied to people to had done nothing but help me. Ms. Mapp. Ms. Monroe. My teachers. "I'm just not anticipating their disappointed looks but mom always threatened to get rid of me if I ever told the schools anything."

          "If they really care for you, then they will understand why you lied about it all this time. If not, then you know who is really looking out for your best interest." I took what he said to heart and found comfort in his words. I also decided to go off of my med's but decided to leave that part out. It is going to be tough to go off of them and not have a panic attack, but I think need to do it for the twins.
