Agreement — A chill ran down my spine waking me from my sleep. Looking around the room everything was dark, the only light filling the room came from the screen. My neck felt a bit stiff due to the position I slept in, massaging my neck lightly I sat up my blanket fell off my body. Getting myself off the couch I switched off the TV, with my blanket in hand I walked to my room. The moment my head hit the soft heavenly pillow I drifted off to sleep, again. A ray of sunlight shown through the curtain into my room. Forcing moment upon my body I rolled over to the other side of my bed. Stretching my body I got out of bed, my eyes still drowsy I needed tea or coffee. Walking into the kitchen I spotted Jess by the counter having a mug in hand. Upon her seeing me she pushed one mug my way, I took into my hands taking a glorious sniff of my tea I smiled. “Good morning to you too.” Jess spoke taking light sips out of her own mug. Sipping from my mug a smile of satisfaction came on my face, “Thank you, you’re always my life save.” I took another sip, this was the right tea for me. Placing my mug down I smiled at Jess this girl made great tea. “When did you guys get here.” I spoke trying to start a conversation because I did not see or hear them. Jess thought about it for a while, lowering her mug Jess answered. “I think around something past or to 1. I came to drop off Riley, she came to my place telling me to bring her home because she was scared. Probably ‘cause she was drunk as hell.” It was just Riley’s excuse to see Jess, they were my power couple, so so cute. “You should have seen her moping yesterday.” I commented while giggling, Jess joined in. We heard footsteps approach the kitchen, Riley was a heavy walker. Our laughter dying down I looked towards the entrance to the kitchen. Her hair in a messed up messy bun she walked over to the fridge grabbing herself some juice. “Should have seen who?” She asked closing the refrigerator door. She placed a light kiss on Jess’ cheek taking a seat beside her. A smile over took the girl turning her head a bit she face Riley with a smile. “You, moping over me.” Jess pecked her lips lightly. Riley looked over to me with a pout, ignoring it I continued with my tea taking my eyes else where. Riley looked back at Jess still pouting, “I wasn’t moping though.” Jess kissed the edge of her mouth nodding her head in agreement, while I clearly knew Jess did not believe it, Riley never admitted to anything that made her soft. I cleared my throat calling her out, once Riley looked at me again a mischievous smile came over her pout. Grabbing Jess’ hand in hers, “Baby did I tell you Abigail here has been daydreaming about her boss.” tightening my hold on the mug I glared at the girl, the girl who always told lies. Jess squealed looked at me with a huge smile on her face. “Tell me all about her. How did it happen and so fast, have—” I shook my head cutting her off, all this was wrong. “She’s lying. I’m not and she’s not my boss.” I spoke pointing at the laying person beside her. Jess looked over at Riley with a deep frown. Riley glared at me before taking all her attention on Jess, she shook her head firmly while giving her an assuring hand squeeze. “Trust me she is, I would never lie like that.” Jess shrugged looking back at me, “Even if she’s lying, who is she! tell me everything.” Jess smiled brightly. Riley gave an approving nod towards her girlfriend and she clearly was enjoying my misery. I sighed letting my almost empty mug on the counter, “Her name is Josie and she—” I stopped once Riley cleared her throat loudly interrupting me. “Has soft spotless skin, perfect teeth, beautiful pink lips the true definition of beautiful to Abigail here.” I glared at the psycho, when did I say that. Riley holding up her hands in front of herself she smiled mischievous, “Just quoting what she said.” “I didn’t say any of that, neither is she any of that to me.” I object glaring at Riley. Riley rested her hand down giggling, she was so getting on my nervous. Jess hissing she punch Riley on the shoulder glaring at her, a wide smile came on my face as I saw Riley rubbing her palm against her shoulder. Jess’ attention came back to me, a smile on her face. “You like her I can tell, you might not know it but you are starting to and we need to meet her.” I thought she was on my side, did they all miraculously became fortune tells, I just met the girl. Shaking my head repeatedly I locked eyes with them, “I don’t like her, she is—” “Annoying? Pisses you off? Literally can’t stand her but at the same time you find comfort?” thinking about it, it was rather comforting talking to even if she annoyed me. I shook my head in approval. Jess looked over to Riley, “Well I have my fair share in that department.” she addressed me, both of us giggled while Riley sighed dramatically, we did not stop even though. I sat with my friends in the kitchen a little bit longer talking over other stuff than just my life. Feeling the time speeding up I left the two for the showers, I needed one. I took a long hot bath that would help me think over everything I had to choose from. Getting out the bathroom a towel wrapped around me I walked over to my bed searching for my phone. When I got ahold of it I dialed Mr. Peter’s number. Waiting on him to pick up I paced back and forth in my room, water running down from my extremely wet hair. Connection finally came through his friendly voice greeting through the phone, I finally spoke. “Hello sir, I agree to the job.”
