Chapter 4: Graduation and the Shift

Harmonys POV

Today was my graduation day. It felt so weird with everythjng that happened last year. My birthday was also only two days away.

Harmony you know our change is going to happen soon.

Lola, the voice in my head said to me. I felt concered with her saying change. It was weird because I was already a women and had monthly cycles since I was 11. I was kind of confused as to why it or she said we were going to change.

"Harmony come on your going to be late!" My father yelled from the living room. I grab my graduation gown and cap and walk out. I still couldnt believe that today I was going to graduate.

I walked outside and climbed into the car with my parents. Josh wanted to drive me but my parents insisted that they did and told him that we would meet him at the school. Pulling up to the school I saw my graduating class of only about one hundred students. Everyone was in their navy blue gowns with a black hat. I climb out and pull my potato sack over my head. I called my gown a potato sack because it felt like one.

"Harmony!" I hear Josh call to me. I run over and give him a hug. "Are you excited" he asks and I nod with a giant smile. Come on you can sit with me. He said as we walked into the gym of the school.

Soon the ceremony started and several teachers said a few things about the class. Then the top student walked up and said a few jokes and told everyone about his journey though school. Then they told us to stand and started announcing names to walk across the stage. After each name you could hear cheers from friends and family in the bleachers. "Joshua Handson" the principal called and Josh walked onto the stage.A few mintues later, "Harmony Johnson" the principal called and I walked onto the stage. "Congratulations Harmony" the principle whispered to me as she handed me my diploma. I shook her hand and walked off the stage. The principle called the rest of the names then said " I now announce the graduating class of 2019 as graduates. Good luck with life" she said and we all tossed out hats and cheered.

"You have to come to the after party Harmony" Josh said as we walked out of the build. "I dont know Josh. Everyone knows that I was in the hospital for almost a year. They might think I'm crazy" I say as we walked up to your parents. We took a million and one pictures before I agreed to let Josh drive me home.

"I will be back at 9pm to pick you up" he said as he pulled into my drive. "Dont even argue because your parents agreed that it would be a good time for you" he said and I chuckled. Only Josh would have talked to my parents before saying anything to me. "Ok is it causal or do I need to dress up" I ask as I open the door. "Causal but look nice" he said and I blush a little. "Ok its a date" I said causing his face to light up red. Josh wasnt the type of man who got embarrassed easily so the fact that I made him blush was amazing.

At 8:30pm I stared in the mirror. I had curled my straight brown hair. I pulled it half up and touched up the curls. I pulled on a tea length red dress that hung off the shoulder. I applied some light neutral colored makeup. I pulled on a hair of small wedges and walked into the kitchen.

"You look beautiful" my mom said as she kissed my check. She then took a picture. "For your dad he is working tonight" she said and I smiled. Dad was getting close to retiring but he was still a fireman.

Josh picked me up and drove towards the party. We pulled up to a large mansion type house. Josh said our names to the butler and we walked in. The party was good and obviously not monitored by adults. Soon alcohol was being passed out.

I took one and decided one glass wouldnt harm me.

One thing let to another and I was starting to feel dizzy. I couldnt find Josh , as he walked off with other friends to go play pool. I sat down and a guy named Frank walked up to me. "Hey there cutie" he said playing with my hair. I pushed his hand away. "No thank you" I said softly. Frank pulled me closer to him. "Oh come on sweetie. In an outfit like that you are just asking to be kissed" he said pulling me into an unwanted kiss. I push him back and he tries it again. Just then I watch as Fred gets pulled backwards. "She said to leave her alone Frank. Now LEAVE!" Josh yelled causing everyone to turn and look. I stood up and walked towards Josh. Frank looked really mad and threw a punch at Josh,who dodged it and punch Frank in the chin. "Come on Harmony let get home" he said taking me hand and escorting me out quickly. I had never seen Josh fight someone but I knew he could fight. He liked to box for fun.

We hopped in the car and started to drive away. He didnt put the address in the gps this time. I figured he knew where we were going so I started to doze off. Next thing I knew I saw a large sign that read "Welcome to Woodsville."

"Woodsville?" I say looking at Josh. "Are we lost?" I ask and he nods then sighs. "I guess I took a wrong turn at the fork back there. Help me find a place to turn around." He said as he pulled up to a large gate. It looked like a prison style gate and we stopped. Soon several men appeared around our car. My heart was racing as I locked my door. Josh rolled his window down about two inches. "Can we help you" one of the gentleman asked as he seemed to sniff the air. He looked confused as he turned to talk to other guy.

Soon a man with dark blond hair and blue eyes appeared and he walked up to my door. He looked in and looked at me. He motioned for me to roll my window. I roll it less then what Josh did his. "I'm sorry we got lost coming from a party" I say before looking into the man's eyes. It was strange I wanted to open my door and hug this man. He smelted really good like cinnamon and chocolate. I was lost in his eyes when my inner voice yell Mate.

I got a confused look on my face and just stared at the man. He seemed to have the same feeling because he stopped frowning and smiled at me. "Well young one. I have a feeling we will meet again soon" He said with a smile. Part of me wanted to stay but part of me was terrified of this man. "Well if you want the city you need to go back and turn left at the fork" he said glacing at Josh. He almost growled at him and Josh gave him a glare back. "Thank you" I say with a smile. He gave me a rather toothy grin as Josh backed up the car.

"That man was weird" Josh said as he did a three point turn to turn around. We drove for a while before pulling into my driveway. "Talk to me Harmony" he said as he parked his car. "I dont know Josh that was freaky. I'm not sure if I ever want to end up back that way again" I say but part of me was still curious about it. I yawned and bid Josh goodnight before walking inside. It had been a long night.

I wake up feeling really weird.

Harmony go outside now

My inner voice said. I was rubbing my eyes before I stood up. The next thing I knew I was walking towards the backyard. Our yard butted up to a large acre feild before the woods started. We called the woods emerald woods because the trees gave an emerald green look in the spring.

I walked into the field and feel immense pain. Every joint, bone and muscle seemed to be ripping in half. I had closed my eyes from pain and when i opened my eyes I was closer to the ground. Blinking I take everything in and I smell cinnamon and chocolate. I look around and see a large brown wolf staring at me. I tried to turn away but I wasnt controlling me anymore. I walked towards the Wolf and gave a small yip.

Unknown Male POV

I was out for a patrol walk when I got a whiff of that women from last night. She smelled like roses and honey. I ran towards the forest opening and I saw a beautiful wolf. She was a white and light tan coloration. She had a red tan coloration on her ear tips and her front paws. She had the most beautiful pair of blue eyes. I saw her coming towards me and could tell this was her first shift. Her eyes read terror but also want. I shift back exposing my self before grabbing a pair of shorts that I had hid near by. "Dont be scared" I say softly. "I know we met last night. Why dont you shift back" I ask her and she c***s her head. "Just talk to your wolf" I say softly and soon she is on the ground in front of me naked. I turn my back to her. "Oh..um..i dont have clothes on" she said with a squeak. "I can give you shorts right now if you want but I don't have any shirts" I say softly and no response. I turn around and she is gone. Sniffing the air I notice she took off towards the ranch style house across the open field. Her butt bounced some as she ran and it made my wolf get excited. I hoped I would be seeing her again soon but I also knew it might be a while before I did.
