CHAPTER 3: MORE INFO ABOUT THE LUNAR WOLF

THALIA POV

“What do you guys know about the Lunar wolf?” I ask Becky and Sophie as we sit down to watch our movie. “I know some things about the Lunar wolf. The Lunar wolf is a special wolf with powers that no other werewolf has. It is said that the Lunar wolf is only sent by the Moon Goddess in times of great peril. To stop wars and protect our people, people who just want to live in peace with the other creatures of this world, from those who just want to destroy and conquer others for power.” Sophie says. “How do you know all this Sophie?” I ask her. “Being a witch and the daughter of the Grand Witch, the leader of the Witch council, I had to learn a lot about our history and the history of other supernatural creatures. I will take over from my mother one day and I have to be ready. I am still a witch-in-training. I have all the books about the history of the Lunar wolf. I could lend them to you if you want? I have a feeling you will need them for when you discover your true powers. I cannot tell you what powers you will have though because you and your wolf will need to discover them by yourselves when the time comes. It is the one rule the Moon Goddess gave, is for you to discover them on your own.” Sophie says as she eats some popcorn. “That will be great Sophie, I will let you know when I need them. So when will your witch training end?” “In two weeks I will have my final exam. Mom says I am ready to join her at the council.” Sophie says. “Did you two know about each other as well?” I say as I look at them. “Yes, we did. We are sorry for not telling you about us. We thought you were human. Humans are not supposed to know about our existence unless they are mated to us.” Becky says as she looks away from the screen

“It's okay I am not mad at you guys at all.” I say “But I know is there is something going on with the packs, here in South Africa. Attacks on a weekly basis. Hundreds of wolves have died during these attacks. There is some rouge vampire and rouge wolf causing havoc in all the packs. The Alpha King is having a meeting right here in Durban next week with all the Alphas of the packs to discuss these attacks.” Becky says “How do you know all this Becky?” I ask her as I grab some popcorn. “My dad. He may be a rouge wolf but he still has some contacts in his old pack. He is best friends with that pack’s alpha. He gets his information from there. He thinks there is a war coming and we need to be prepared. According to my dad, the rogue vampires and wolves are working together. They are looking for something, we just don’t know what it is yet.” Becky says. “My mom says that the Alpha King is looking for someone called Tony Alanzo. Apparently, he calls himself the new king of the werewolves. I can imagine that is not sitting well with the Alpha King. Witches have been asked to help keep a lookout for this Alanzo guy.” Sophie says

“Who is this Alpha King?” I ask my best friends. “Girl you have a lot to learn! His name is Damien Burns. Alpha King to all werewolves of the world. Also Alpha of the Dark Moon pack in Johannesburg. He is 25 years old and sexy as hell, I tell you! His beta and gamma are also not that far off either! He took over the kingdom from his father when he was 21 years old, the age all Alphas take over their kingdom or packs from their predecessors, he is a peaceful and just Alpha but don’t piss him off, because then you will not see the light of day again. I hear he still hasn’t met his mate and he is still looking for her.” Becky says as she takes a sip of her juice

“And what would his mate be called? The Alpha Queen?” I ask “NOO! She will be called the Luna Queen!” Becky says as she looks at me with a look that screams ‘really?!’ “Why are you looking at me like that? You know I just found out about this world!” I retort at her. “I’m sorry Thalia, I didn’t mean to sound rude,” Becky says as she looks at me with her sorry eyes. “It's okay my friend, offense not taken. So tell me since you are half-vampire, do you drink blood?” I ask and Becky looks at me and she says “Yes I do. My mom is a vampire and she gets blood bags from this company that is registered to distribute blood for us vampires who just want to live a peaceful life and we don’t want to hurt anyone. It is not the best way but it keeps us sane. Vampires who go without blood for too long will go insane.” “Cool so what is your wolf’s and vampire’s name?” I ask her as I take a sip of my soda. “My wolf’s name is Nina, you will get to meet her next Friday night, and my vampire’s name is Lia. She is the more feisty one out of all of us. She refuses to let us kiss anyone. She wants her beloved. So does Nina, she wants her mate.” Becky says “I agree with them. That’s why we are still virgins, we are waiting for our mates.” Sophie says as she gets up to go to the bathroom.

After learning all this, I can’t help thinking about my wolf and my mate. What would they be like? I can’t help but think of Alpha Damien. He is running a kingdom and pack without the help of his mate. It must be hard for him. I can’t help but get a warm feeling in my heart when I think of him. Could I have a crush on a man that I have never seen before? I don’t know but I know is I will be meeting him soon.

“So what do you guys think the future Luna Queen will be like?” I ask just as Sophie comes back in. “Alpha King Damien hasn’t met his mate yet. Maybe it will be YOU!” Sophie says as starts making kissing noises. I laugh as I throw a cushion at her. “Stop that!” I shout at her and she just laughs as she sings “Thalia has a crush on the King! Ooooh oooh! Nah Nah Nah Nah naaaah Nah!” Sophie sings as she gets up to run away. “I DO NOT!” I say as I start chasing her around the house.

Damien POV

“Why is my granddaughter in the dungeon Damien?” Councilman Jerry Harrison asks me on the phone. “She didn’t do anything wrong!” “Didn’t do anything wrong? Well, let’s see… First of all, she barges into my office unannounced and naked trying to seduce me! That is why she is in the dungeon. My pack members know to knock before being invited into my office. She knows that as it is an order in my pack yet she decided to disobey me. Second of all, I have told you and her several times already she will never be my mate and the Luna Queen because of her whoring ways! Yes, your granddaughter is a f*****g w***e! I have heard my pack warriors' mind linking each other about how she likes to be f****d! Do you think I want a b***h like that as my mate? HELL TO THE f**k NO!!! And last but not least you WILL refer to ME as ALPHA KING DAMIEN BURNS!! Disrespect me like that again and I will kill your ass!” I shout back at him. “I don’t believe what you say of my granddaughter is true! She is a sweet girl!” Councilman Harrison says to me. “I don’t care if you believe me or not asshole but I believe this conversation is over! Goodbye!” I say and then I slam the phone down in his ears.

“Councilman Harrison giving you trouble again Damien?” Jared says as he and Kade walk into my office with food and drinks. “Yes, he called me asking why his w***e of a granddaughter is in the dungeon, telling me she didn’t do anything wrong and that she is a sweet girl. Sweet girl my ass!” I reply just as Kade sits a plate of food in front of me. We are about to have lunch. “Then what did you tell him?” Kade asks. “What do you think? I told him why Natasha is in the dungeon and that she will never be my mate because she f***s around with the pack warriors. He said he doesn’t believe me about her whoring ways. He said he doesn’t believe me about that and I said I don’t give a f**k if he believes me or not.” I say as I sit down to eat. Kade and Jared just laugh and shake their heads as they dig into their food as well. “That family has always been crazy in their heads! They think everything in life is about money and power and they don’t care if they hurt or manipulate others just to get what they want.” Jared says.”He even disrespected you by not using your title. The nerve of that man!” Jared added. “I know right! You 2 and my mate are the only ones allowed to refer to me as Damien. No one else! Everybody knows that.”

“Even if Natasha was the only woman left on earth, I wouldn’t touch that b***h!” Kade says as he devours his food. “You won’t be able to because she will be f*****g every man she sees! I won’t touch her either! Yuck!” Jared says. “Me neither!” I say. “So guys is everything set in the conference room for our video call with Alpha Jake Sentino of the Blue Stone pack?” I ask. “Yes, Alpha everything is set.” Kade replies. “Good. I believe he has info on this so-called rogue vampire king and his sidekick, the self-proclaimed new Alpha King of the werewolves. Like that will ever happen” I say.

I am now sitting in my conference room along with Kade and Jared having the video call meeting with Alpha Jake of Blue Stone. “Good afternoon Alpha King Damien, Beta Kade and Gamma Jared. How are you?” Alpha Jake asks

“We are fine thank you and how are you Alpha? We believe you have some information for us regarding this rogue vampire king and a werewolf saying he is the new Alpha King?” I say. “Yes, the rogue vampire king’s name is Demetrius Stone. He is 1500 years old. He is seeking the Lunar wolf so he could use her power to dominate the world. He was also involved in the murder of my former beta’s mate after that Demetrius disappeared. My former beta denounced his title and moved away because my pack lands holds too many memories of him and his mate together and he could not handle that. My former beta and I have been looking for Demetrius Stone for the last 18 years. Every time we follow up on a lead on where he is, he has disappeared again by the time we get there. It's like a cat and mouse game with this vampire. Alpha King, I have recently been informed by Alpha Johnson that Demetrius’ main hideout is in KwaZulu Natal just outside of Durban. Beta John and some of my warriors are keeping an eye on it now. It seems the vampires and rouge wolves are working together from there” Alpha Jake says.

“Yes, we know about that. Alpha Johnson told us that. What do you know about the self-proclaimed new Alpha King of the werewolves?” I ask “His name is Tony Alanzo. The former beta of the Crescent Moon pack, exiled by their Alpha due to his violent and abusive nature. I do not have the whereabouts of Tony Alanzo at this moment. ” Alpha Jake says. “Crescent Moon? The pack that was destroyed by rogues 17 years ago?” Jared asks. “Yes, Gamma. That is the one. Alpha Carlos Fernandes was the Alpha back then. Tony was involved in that attack. He is the one who killed Alpha Carlos. It is said that there were 3 survivors, Alpha Carlos’ Luna, their then one-year-old baby girl, and his Luna’s brother who is also my former beta. My former beta promised Alpha Carlos he would protect his Luna/sister and their baby girl before grabbing them and running away. They have been in hiding since. Only I know where he is. After my former beta left my pack, he became the beta of Crescent Moon after Tony was exiled.”

“Why is your former beta in hiding Alpha?” Kade asks “They're in hiding because of Tony’s obsession with his sister. And for one more reason that I don’t know. He said he can’t tell me what that reason is yet.” Alpha Jake replies. “Alpha Jake if you speak with your former beta again can you ask him if he is willing to come out of hiding and help us fight these motherfuckers? Do you think he will do it? He and his family will be in the protection of my pack.” I ask. “I don’t know but I will ask him and get back to you on that Alpha King.” Alpha Jake says. “Please do. I believe he will be a great ally to us in this war. Also, keep an eye on the vampires and report back to us about any new developments there. We will keep searching for Tony Alanzo from here.” I say “Will do Alpha King. Thank you for your time. Goodbye.” Alpha Jake says “Goodbye Alpha.” Jared, Kade and I say in unison. We hang up the call

“Crescent moon pack. Wiped out 25 September 2004.  Alpha: Carlos Fernandes (Deceased), Luna: unknown, whereabouts: unknown. Daughter: unknown, whereabouts unknown. Beta: unknown, whereabouts unknown. It's like they erased every single trace of them from our database.” Kade says as he looks at an information spreadsheet of Crescent Moon pack on his laptop. “They had to do it to protect themselves. The vampires and rouges are attacking the packs because they are looking for the Lunar wolf. I bet Alpha Jake’s former beta knows the whereabouts of the Lunar wolf. Let's just hope he agrees to meet with us.” Jared says “I think the Lunar wolf is Alpha Carlos’ daughter.” I say and my friends look at me confused. “Why do you think that Alpha?” Jared asks me. “I can’t explain it but it's just a gut feeling that I have. I believe that she is the Lunar wolf. I have this urge now that I, that we, have to protect her” I say

“We have to get to her first before those bastards do!” I say and I hear the guys say agreed in unison.
