CHAPTER 8: THEY FOUND US

Alejandro POV

I was taking an afternoon run with Jake, just as we had done every day for the last three days. “So are you looking forward to meeting the Alpha King?” He asks me. “I don’t know man. I don’t know what to expect so we will just have to wait and see how it goes.” I reply. We are almost at the house when I smell it. The foul stench of rouges. But one, in particular, stands out. I know who it is! “Rouges!” Jake says. “Not just any rouges, Jake. I can smell Tony Alanzo’s scent! He found us! And then it suddenly hit me! He is looking for Thea and Thalia! I run back to my house with Jake close behind me. “He found us! Alanzo found us! I can smell his scent all over the neighborhood!” I yell as I barge into the house.

“Where are the girls Thea?” I ask her as she comes running to the front door. “I sent them to the store to get a few things! s**t come on we have to find them!” She yells as she runs past me. I follow her to my car. We get into the car and just as we pull out of the driveway I get a mind link from Thalia. ‘‘Uncle Ale are you there?’ She asks ‘Thalia where are you?’ I ask her. ‘We’re at the checkers that are close to the house. We are in trouble Uncle Ale. There are rouges everywhere! They are surrounding us!’ she tells me.  ‘We are on our way okay. We are coming for you!’ I try to reassure her. ‘Okay hurry up please! There are too many of them! We can’t fight them all!’

“They are at the checkers close to the house. They are surrounded by too many rouges! Thalia says they can’t fight them on their own!” I say as I step on the gas and in no time we are at the checkers. “John is on his way with some more warriors, they are about 3 minutes away!” Jake says as he climbs out of the car just as the rouges start attacking us. I managed to kill a few when I hear Thea say Alanzo it is me you want so come and fight me! Leave my daughter alone!”

“Thea NO!” I start running towards Alanzo but his rouges get in the way. I see Thalia and Becky protected by a forcefield that Sophie is trying to hold up but I can see she is getting weaker! The power is too much for her to handle! “Save the girls Alejandro! Don’t worry about me!” Thea says as she fights Alanzo. I nod at her.  Just then I hear some tires screech as a few SUV’s stop on the parking lot and John and some of the Blue Stone pack warriors come to fight the rouges.

I then make my way towards the girls but I can’t because the rouges keep blocking my way then I see a massive group of more rouges coming out from the trees. I then look at Thalia. ‘Thalia let go of your power! You are the only one who can get us out of this! You can do it! Let go now!’ I tell her through mind link. She nods at me and then tells Sophie to drop the force field. Sophie does as she says and falls to the ground on her knees.

I look at Thalia just as she closes her eyes and when she opens them again They are blue! Usually, when the wolf takes control of the human our eyes turn grey, but Thalia’s is blue. “Remarkable” I whisper.

Thalia starts swatting the rouges away using her telekinesis power. Swatting them away like flies. They drop dead on the ground as they land over a hundred and fifty meters away. She then electrocutes the remaining rouges with thunder except for Alanzo. He is still standing! I see Thea on the ground! “s**t! Thea!” I yell as I run to her. I see that she has been stabbed several times but she is not healing! Thea’s heartbeat is slowing down due to losing too much blood! “She’s is not healing!” I say as I grab her but Jake takes her into his arms. She is his mate after all!

“See I knew you were the Lunar wolf! Anyway, it seems as though my plan to kidnap you for my partner has now failed so I have got to go! I’ll see you all real soon!” Alanzo says as he disappears into thin air. How the f**k did he do that? Normal werewolves don’t have powers like that. Our senses are heightened, we have strength, speed and healing abilities but that is about it.

I look at Thea and I see that she is still alive! “Hang in there Thea! Don’t you die on us! We need you man!” Sophie and Becky come stand next to me with Thalia joining Jake and Thea on the ground. “I wish I could do something but I can’t I am too weak!” Sophie says. “I can do it! I can heal Mom!” Thalia says but her voice sounds different. Her wolf is still in control. “Do it” I tell her.

She puts her hands on Thea’s body. Then her hands start to glow bright yellow. I see the wounds on Thea’s body start to close up. I hear Thea’s heartbeat go steady again. But then Thalia faints. I grab her before she hits the ground. She is unconscious. Healing Thea took too much out of her, but at least they are still alive!

“So I guess we have to call the Alpha King and report to him what had happened here?” I ask just as Jake takes out his phone. “I am going to call him. You guys are compromised. There is no going back to your house. They know where you live and that fucker is still out there!” Jake says as he dials a number.

“Hello, beta Kade. It is Alpha Jake Sentino of Blue Stone, there has been an attack on Alejandro and his family.”

Damien POV

“Alpha King. It is Tony Alanzo! He just tried to kidnap Thalia Fernandes!” And I feel my heart sink. “Is she alright?” I ask Alpha Jake. “Yes, Alpha King she is. She and her mother are both unconscious but they are alright.” Alpha Jake replies over the phone. I mind link Jared to come to my office. ‘Jared something happened in Durban. My office now’ I say to Jared. ‘Coming Alpha King.’ Jared replies. Seconds later Jared walks into my office. “Alejandro, Thea and Thalia were attacked by Tony Alanzo and his rouge in Durban earlier.” I tell Jared and he says “Damn! Are they alright?” “Yes but Alanzo has escaped.” Alpha Jake replies.

 “Alpha King Damien, Alejandro’s house has been compromised. It seems that Alanzo and his goons have been watching them for quite some time. It would be unwise for them to return to the house as Alanzo now knows where they live and he might come for Thalia again. We will have to help find them some other accommodation for now.” Alpha Jake says.

I think about what he just said for a second.

My gut feeling is saying that I should go over there then I remember what Dad said, that I should follow my gut feeling. My heart is telling me to go so I am going to follow Dad’s advice. “Take them to the Burns hotel. I will arrange everything from here.” I tell Alpha Jake over the phone then I hear some mumbling in the background. “Alpha King it seems my men have captured two of the rouges that work with Alanzo. They tried to escape the fight and my men managed to capture them. They have been sedated with wolfsbane and they are unconscious as we speak. Maybe we can get them to talk when they wake up?” Alpha Jake says. “Yes, that is a good idea. Take them to one of Black Incorporated’s warehouses. We will send you the address now. Jared sends Alpha Jake the location of the warehouse in Durban. Kade call the hotel and arrange rooms for Alejandro, Thea, Thalia, Alpha Jake and all of his pack warriors that are there now.” I tell my two best friends. “Yes, Alpha.” Kade and Jared reply as they get on their phones and do as I told them.

“Alpha Jake and Alejandro, I expect you two to tell me exactly what happened there today. I want to know every detail about the attack tonight when I see you.” I tell Alpha Jake and I hear Alejandro talking in the background. “Wait you are coming here?” He asks me. “Yes.” I reply to him as I get on my personal phone to call my pilot. “Peter get the jet ready. We are flying to Durban in 45 minutes.” I order him over the phone. “Yes Alpha King, right away.” Peter says.

“Alpha King Damien, Sophie and Becky, Thalia’s two best friends were also attacked with her. I have sent them back home to their houses along with my beta John and some of my warriors. They will stay there and guard them as Alanzo might attack them and their families and use them against Thalia.” Alpha Jake says. I know about Thalia’s two best friends. “Good idea Alpha Jake.” I tell him.

“Kade change of plans. We are going to Durban tonight. Arrange with the hotel to have the penthouse suite ready for us tonight.” I tell him as he is still busy with the manager of the hotel on the phone. “On it Alpha King.” He replies. “Jared arrange with the warehouse security to let Alpha Jake’s warriors drop of those two unconscious bastards, have them chained up to the walls in one of the torture chambers. I will deal with them myself when I get there. Also, mind link Dante and Daniel, they have to get ready as they are coming with us to Durban. Kade arranges rooms at the hotel for them as well. “Everything is arranged, Alpha King.” Kade says as he hangs up the phone. “Same here.” Jared adds.

“Good. Alpha Jake we will see you guys soon.” I say. “Yes Alpha King.” Alpha Jake says as he hangs up the phone.

“Kade go get our bags.” I tell him. We have already had our bags ready as always. I like to be prepared for anything. Kade gets up and leaves the room. “Jared you will have to keep an eye on things here while we are gone. I am sorry to have dropped this on your shoulders at such short notice.” I tell as I leave for my car. “No problem Alpha. You know I will never let you and the pack down. I will increase security at our borders just in case those bastards are planning to attack us.” Jared says as he walks behind me. “You always do that every time we leave!” I tell him.

I walk out of the packhouse to where my car is and I see that Jake, Dante and Daniel are already there waiting for me. We get into my car and drive to O.R Tambo international airport. From there we fly to Durban on my private jet and leave my car in my private and secured parking area. One hour and a half later we land in Durban. I see the rental car that Kade has arranged for us is already there to take us to Burns Hotel.

As I walk into the hotel lobby, a sweet and mouthwatering scent hits my nose. It smells of strawberries and cream. “Do you guys smell that?” I ask the others “Smell what?” Kade asks me “I don’t smell anything Alpha.” Dante says and Daniel just shakes his head saying no. Suddenly Xander stirs inside my head. He has been quiet all day.

‘Mate! Mate is here! Find mate now!’ Xander orders me. “My wolf says my mate is here” I tell the others. “Really? Then go find her!” Kade yells at me and I glare at him then I start following the scent. “I’m sorry Alpha. I am just so excited for you!” Kade tells me. “I know you are and I am also excited to finally meet my mate!” I tell him. The scent leads me to the elevators. We stop at every floor until we get to the fourth floor. The scent is getting stronger here. “By the way what rooms are Alejandro, Thea and Thalia in?” I ask Kade. “Thea, Thalia and Alpha Jake are in room 401, Alejandro is in room 402.” Kade replies

As we approach room 401, I notice that the scent ends here. ‘Mate is in there.’ Xander says as he is pacing around in my head. I knock on the door and Alejandro opens it. “Alpha King Damien please come in.” He says. I enter the hotel room and follow the scent to one of the bedrooms. I enter the room and see Thea laying in one of the beds with Alpha Jake beside her then I look at the other bed and that is when I see her. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Thalia is laying on the bed. I rush over to the bed. I grab her hand and I feel sparks going through my body. I hear Alejandro and the others walking into the bedroom. Alejandro walks over to me. “Alpha King Damien I mean you no disrespect but what are you doing?” He asks me.

“I am holding my mate’s hand!” I tell him and he opens his eyes wide in shock. “Wait Thalia is your mate?” He asks me. “Yes” I tell him. I turn and look back at my beautiful mate. ’Mate is special. Mate has power, I can feel it. I love mate already!’ Xander chirps like a lovesick puppy inside my head and it is now that I realize that he is right. She has a strong aura around her. ‘You are right! Mate is beautiful! I just hope she doesn’t reject us though.’ I tell Xander. ‘She won’t. Mate will love us, you will see!’ Xander says.  “How long has she been unconscious for?” I ask him as I stroke my mate’s cheeks. “About 2 hours Alpha King.” Alejandro tells me.

“Tell me everything that happened and I do mean everything!” I tell him as I sit down on the edge of the bed.

“Yes, Alpha King but first there is something that I have to tell you first.” Alejandro says but he stops talking. “So what is it?” I ask him impatiently.

“Thalia is the Lunar wolf.”
