Nerves? Or Possibly Something Else

Luciano "What the hell?" I asked. I looked around and nothing. I didn't see anyone. "Demetri, what happened? You said they were here." "I never saw anyone leave," Demetri answered. We looked around the entire house. We didn't find any evidence of anyone ever being here. We reached the basement. We noticed a cellar in the back. There were a few wine bottles that suggested someone use to live here. I continued walking all the way towards the back and noticed another gold door. I went through it and saw a tunnel. "f**k!" I cursed. Adriano came running. "They must have known we were watching them. They left before we could get here." "So now we have no idea where the hell they have gone," Adriano groaned. "We have to find him." We followed the tunnel all the way out. We noticed tire marks. I told Heitor to keep eye on the house. Demetri and I worked on finding other locations Dario was known to use in the past. Waiting was the worst part. I couldn't really sit still and stay calm. Another day passed and I was ready to paint the city red. I needed her back. I needed her safe. Camila We left in a rush after the show I put on. I was confused and scared. I was sure someone had bought me and they were taking me to him. In the car, Dario told me we had to leave and would put my auction on hold, for now. I closed my eyes. I was relieved but also still sad. I just wanted to go home. We arrived at a new house. It was magnificent. It was like a castle. "Camila, dear. You are my guest. There is no house close by for miles. I won't chain you up and you shall be able to move about as much as you want," I felt a but coming along. "But, if you do anything to cause trouble. I will not only take away your privileges but you will be punished." His smirk made me think he wanted me to cause trouble. I was led to my room. It was fit for a princess. I was confused. "Shower, change, and meet me for dinner," Dario requested. I wanted to scream. I wish I could climb out the window and run away but I noticed several guards walking around with guns. They didn't have plain old handguns either. They had rifles. They looked like they were ready for war. Was a war coming? God, I hoped so. I took a shower and got dressed. I was led downstairs and to a dining area. The table was decorated so elegantly. Candles and centerpieces with flowers and fruit. "I hope we can get to know each other better," Dario said. "Um," "You are a lovely girl Camila," he said. "I am sure I can fetch a good price for you but I have been without a wife for some years now." "Excuse me," "See, I had found out I had a son, he is about your age but I never imagined you would be this beautiful," Dario told me. "I just recently started to think I would keep you for myself and maybe after sell you if I get bored." Dario's bluntness and crudeness really pissed me off. He had no problem telling me everything he had planned. "If you are a good girl and give me an heir. A true heir, then maybe you can have a few good years here with me." "A few good years. A few good years," I thought. I hated him. This dirty old man was really pissing me off. How could he? How could he say that? I didn't want any of this. I would rather die. I took a deep breath and tried to smile. "So, tell me about yourself?" I asked. Dario laughed and began to tell me about his business. That disgusted me. Then he told me about his three wives. That disgusted me anymore. I tried to play nice. I had to. I guess I was safe here. It was like I had thought before. I was better off here with the enemy I know than out there with the enemy I didn't. I was escorted back to my room. I got ready for bed and hoped in. At least the mattress was comfy. Suddenly, I heard the door open. "Hello, dear," Dario said. "I had been thinking, perhaps it is time for me to see if you are still pure." "EXCUSE ME!" I shouted. "Now, remember to be a good girl," he said. "I heard a rumor you were involved with your brother." Dario chuckled menacingly. "What? No. He is not my brother. He was lying to me, to my entire family," I said. "So, why were you at his house so late at night?" Dario asked. "I was there to confront him and yell at him for lying to me. He used me," I was hoping I was convincing enough. "Hmm, I see," was all he said. "Well, I would still like to see for myself." "Please, no," I pleaded. I felt my stomach tightening. My heart was pounding so hard. "I have to. I have to throw up." I shot up off the bed and ran to the bathroom. Dario heard me throwing up. "Hmm, nerves or," he paused. "Possibly something else?" "What do you mean?" I asked softly as I wiped my mouth. "Oh nothing, we will soon find out," he said. He left as if nothing had happened. I was grateful for my suddenly weak stomach but worried he would try again. I had a hard time sleeping and reacted to every little noise I heard. I did sleep for a moment but I woke up still tired and nauseous. A week went by. Dario waited until I stopped waking up sick and then he handed me a small brown paper bag. I pulled out the box that was in it. It was a pregnancy test. "What? Why did you give me this?"
