4. Don't Believe

1432 Words
The warrior chief's voice summoning the warriors to the field for their morning practice could be heard as far as Viltarin's stately house and the workers' houses a few tens of meters behind Viltarin's house. Warriors work out together every morning at 6 o'clock before they go to work. They are like alarms that wake up people who live in homes close to their camps. On the right is Viltarin's stately home, and on the left, there is a large yard before the entrance gate to the warrior camp. So, the entrance to the pack was about 80 meters away from Viltarin's house. The green-eyed man's father built a house on purpose next to the camp of warriors. There are two warrior camps near the front gate and back gate. So, every werewolf from another pack or other immortal creature that comes to the pack has to go through a very strict inspection by the warriors. They make sure that guests who come to the pack won't hurt them. Their defense system was not easy to get through. Even Viltarin asked Gamma and the chief warrior to put several warriors in every corner of the pack and in hidden places. As a result, they are rarely visited by rogues. They prefer to attack rather than be attacked. Such was the principle of the Bluestone Pack from time immemorial. It's not just the warriors who are busy in the morning; the omegas too. Before cooking, Lilith introduced Kalliste, who officially worked at Alpha Viltarin's house, and, more specifically, the light blonde woman who worked as a special chef for Alpha Viltarin. Kalliste gets lots of pats on the shoulder and lots of stares from the omegas who have worked here for a long time. Some were envious, some were delighted, and some were grateful that she had managed to melt Viltarin's picky tongue when it came to food. Kalliste just replied with a smile. Honestly, she is confused. She thought about something. Even she slept at two in the morning because her brain wouldn't stop thinking about this strange thing. The smell of woody made her heart beat twice as fast. Kalliste and Irena couldn't possibly be wrong. But they have not been able to determine where does this fragrance come from? Is it true from Alpha Viltarin? Or another werewolf that lives in this house? Kalliste was really dizzy. She was curious to know who the owner of this musk fragrance was, but on the other hand, she didn't want to know. Because she already had a mate, Alpha Kenric, who assigned her to this house. Okay. Kalliste must not forget the purpose of her work in this house! She'd better forget the smell of musk. Kalliste cooks in a particular kitchen next to the one she cooked there yesterday. This two-meter kitchen has the same furniture as the other kitchen, only the size of the room and the amount of furniture are different. Kalliste was even more surprised. Alpha Viltarin is not only a picky eater, but he also makes a special kitchen that is only used for cooking him food. Wow. Kalliste shook her head. Alpha Kenric and Alpha Viltarin are very different. Both are unique, but Alpha Viltarin is more than unique. Kalliste focuses on making beef according to Alpha Viltarin's wishes. Not too spicy, not too sweet, not too salty, and 70 percent maturity level. Honestly, Kalliste couldn't believe that the chicken breast and beef she made yesterday matched Viltarin's tastes. She was just guessing. 'Irena, I'm afraid the taste of my current dish will not be like the taste of yesterday.' Her mind links her wolf. Irene took a deep breath. 'Believe in yourself, Kalli. Oh, don't forget, when you meet Alpha Viltarin, try to get a little closer to him, a step away, to make sure he's really our mate.' Kalliste's wolf said excitedly. Kalliste looked at the roast beef already on the plate. 'No, Irena. We belong to Alpha Kenric.' Irena snorted. 'I don't care about that guy. He's only hurting us.' 'But …' 'If it is true that Alpha Viltarin is our mate, it means that our relationship with Alpha Kenric is not approved by the Moon Goddess. Maybe she wants to change our mate. The Moon Goddess wants us to live happily here, with Alpha Viltarin.' Irena didn't care at all about Kenric, who never cared about their broken feelings. 'Why do we keep a man who can't keep his eyes and lust from other women? He doesn't admit us. Don't be stupid, Kalli.' Kalliste bites the bottom of her lips. Irena was right, but she couldn't forget Kenric. She closed her eyes to prepare herself to meet Alpha Viltarin. Not yet met, her heart was beating very fast because she was afraid that Viltarin was really her mate. Kalliste walked into the dining room quietly. Her gray eyes met Viltarin's green eyes, who stared at her for a second, then turned his gaze to the table. Kalliste had difficulty swallowing her saliva. With slightly shaking hands, she placed the breakfast plate in front of the man. She inhaled the fragrance scent of woody, which she believed came from Alpha Viltarin. She was in shock and subconsciously walked backward until her back hit someone behind her. Kalliste turned quickly when she heard a pained groan, her foot stomping on the curly-haired man. "I am sorry." Kalliste lowered her head, not daring to look at the man who must be someone important in this house for eating in the same dining room as Viltarin. Osias frowned, then glanced at his Alpha, who in front of him was a plate containing a piece of roast beef. Then he understood without needing to ask his Alpha or Lilith. "You are Kalliste, in charge of making food for Alpha?" Kalliste slowly raised her head. "Yes, that's right." She didn't understand the name of the man she bumped into and stepped on. Osias flashes a brilliant smile at her. "I'm glad Alpha finally has a personal chef again. Finally, someone can make food according to Alpha's taste." Osias was pleased. He winked at his Alpha, who didn't know why glaring at him like he wanted to kill him. Then he looked back at Kalliste, who was confused to see him. "I'm Osias, Beta Sapphire Pack. Beta loyal to Alpha." He giggled at his own words. "Nice to meet you, Beta." Kalliste nodded and smiled. "Nice to meet you, too." Osias patted Kalliste on the shoulder and looked into Kalliste's gray eyes seriously. "Alpha Viltarin is a picky eater. So please take care of your cooking so that the taste and level of doneness remain the same. I don't want him to return to taking weight gain pills." This is what Kalliste is worried about. "Yes, Beta. I'll try." "Osias, eat." Viltarin's husky voice startled Kalliste, who had only heard his voice twice. He was annoyed to see Osias conversing with Kalliste because he did not yet dare to do. Viltarin was weak. He couldn't fight the fear that had occupied his heart for a long time. Osias grinned and nodded. Kalliste walked briskly to the kitchen, about five meters from the dining room. Viltarin didn't say anything about mate. Were she and Irena wrong? Was it because of the fear that her purpose here would be exposed, making Kalliste and Irena fantasize? In vain last night, she couldn't sleep thinking about this. "Kalli, watch out." Kalliste turned her head with raised eyebrows. An omega pointed forward, and she looked ahead; her eyes widened when she saw two wolves running towards her and hitting her so that she fell and caused her head and back to hit the floor quite hard. Kalliste felt her head dizzy, and the two wolves licked her face. She laughed, and in that laugh, she heard someone calling her the name she had wanted to hear. "Mate!" Kalliste blinked as she saw Viltarin sitting next to her with a worried and scared expression on her face. Osias stopped his activity which was cutting meat. His head turned to the right with his eyes bulging as if they wanted to pop out and his jaw-dropping down. Viltarin had never felt such a shock that his heart would explode. He looked at Kalliste, who was being licked by two wolves. "Call the doctor immediately!" He shouted loudly, startling all the werewolves who seemed to have become statues in shock. Osias immediately obeyed his Alpha orders even though he still couldn't believe what he heard and saw.
