It was the next day, Anna thought it was a joke but later she found out that it was real. She did not have expectations from her father but still, she was disappointed.

Knock knock

"Enter," She moved out of bed and stood facing the window. When a person came in, she turned and saw Matilda with a group of maids.

"Good Morning, Miss," She greeted and ordered the maids to put down the gowns they were holding.

When Anna saw this, her mouth twitched. She had nothing to say about their quick organization.

"Morning, too, Matilda, what's this? I thought I would at least get away to rest, but no." She sighed and sat in a small coach.

Matilda watched her with pity but had to follow her boss's order, "Miss, it will be your welcoming party and engagement day, so please choose a dress for the ceremony." The truth is, Matilda did not like any of this, but let's say this was her job.

Anna looked at her and scoffed, Welcoming party, my ass, more like a goodbye party. She stood up "Do I even have a choice?"

Matilda looked down " No"

Anna grabbed the gowns and walked to the bathroom to try out the dress without saying anything. They all fitted her so she chose a blue one, which had small diamond stones and was a mermaid style. It hugged her and brought out that small waist. When she walked out, all eyes were on her with envious looks.

She knew she looked good but please, at least close your mouth while staring. Matilda regained her senses and praised "Wow Miss, unbelievable, that dress was made for you"

Anna's mouth switched, was she not exaggerating it? " Thank you, then I will be wearing this."

They all nodded and went outside leaving her with Matilda. "Miss breakfast is ready." She informed her before going out too.

Anna sighed and went to wash her face. After finishing her simple routine, she went outside. As she slept on the first floor, she heard people talking in the dining area.

"That girl thinks she's the boss here, taking her time while we wait for her" Cathy whispered to her Mom.

"Quite, your father is not even complaining, " Vanessa said holding her anger. Paul was reading a newspaper and Peter was playing on his phone.

The truth is that Paul was not waiting for Anna he simply had something to talk to her about and decided to wait for her since he would be leaving right after breakfast.

Anna walked in neither hurrying nor slowing. " Good morning, family," She greeted mockingly.

Paul placed down the newspaper and looked at his daughter with a frown. "Why are you acting like this?"

Anna rolled her eyes as if he knew her behavior. She ignored him and turned to her brother and smiled at him, "How was the night, brother?"

"It was Owsam, I thought it was a dream that you were here with me, how about your night in a new place?" Peter also smiled at her.

Anna sighed exaggeratedly, " Well, the truth is I didn't sleep at all as I was busy thinking about the oncoming welcoming party Father organized for me." She sat down eyeing her father.

Paul snorted and said " We will have a lot of important people so be on your best behavior"

Anna smirked and asked, " And what do I get in return?"

"Name your price" Paul offered.

"Give me 1 billion then," Anna said.

"You sure know how to brag," He slammed his hands on the table startling people around it.

"You need me, I didn't want this after all. " Anna smiled, taunting him.

Paul then thought of the benefits he would get and then agreed " Deal"

"That is my generous partner," Anna clapped and started eating, but her eyes were empty.

Before they could start eating a visitor was announced. A youth walked in with his hands in his pockets. He was wearing a black shirt with black pants. He appeared to be the same age as Peter, but he was taller than him. His features were sharp with thin lips, a pointed nose, a strong jawline, deep black eyes, and perfectly combed black hair. His skin was tanned but looked radiant.

He looked at the people in front, but his eyes soon returned and focused on one person, Cathy. She smiled and stood up " Brother Leo, why are you here?"

But before taking further steps, Paul spoke, " Stay there, you are going to be his sister-in-law, so stop calling him brother. "

Paul walked forward and greeted him " How are you Leo, join us for breakfast"

"No, Uncle, but thanks, I have to go. I came to deliver this, " He said, and his voice sounded cold with a bit of anger, and he handed him an envelope.

Paul cleared his throat with awkwardness " We'll that's sad but no pressure oh I almost forgot to introduce you, meet Anna and Anna meet Leo your future husband "

Anna had been looking at the guy ever since he walked in; his masculine cologne was killing her. Leo also felt her eyes and looked at her with his long eyelashes fanning his cheek as he blinked.

He checked her out with his cold face, but anger could still be traced in his eyes. He heard everything they were talking about and how this was a deal for them. Yes, he liked Cathy, but it angered him to know that his soon-to-be fiancée was in it for money.

Anna's eyes sparked when she heard that he was the guy, and her heart was speeding wait, was this what they called first love? She stood up. " Nice to meet you," She greeted him with the best smile she could offer.

But Leo only nodded his head and turned around to leave the place. Everything about the girl was hateful. What angered him the most was her eyes; she had his favorite color in her eyes, and that pissed him.

Cathy and Vanessa laughed when they saw this but stopped when Paul glanced at them.

Peter was so angry and was ready to punch the guy, who was he to embarrass his sister? It was his luck that she seemed to like him. He saw her eyes sparkle when she looked at him.

He patted Anna on the shoulder, "Don't worry, sis, that is his behavior, but he will warm up to you in no time. No one can resist my adorable sister." He comforted her.

Anna gave him a small smile, but she was not stupid; the guy did not seem impressed by her. But that was for now, she had never loved anyone, but she had never felt this way either.

They went back to their breakfast, and when they finished, everyone went back to their rooms to get ready.

The ceremony was being held at the main house of the Reyes so the family had to go there.

Properly cleaned, Ann went back to her room and started dressing after putting on the dress a knock was heard as the makeup artist came in with a small bag

"Good day, miss. Should we start?" She asked politely.

Anna nodded and sat down in front of the dressing mirror. She closed her eyes but soon opened them when she heard the lady giggle now and then. She looked at her with a raised brow and she took the hint.

"Sorry Miss, it's just that your skin is so perfect that you only need a small touch of makeup

"You are the first person I have ever worked with amazing skin like yours, you are so beautiful "

Anna scratched her ears. Was she not near her? Why was the lady increasing the volume of every sentence?

Rita saw this and felt embarrassed, "Sorry, Miss, I tend to talk loud when I get excited." Anna nodded, and she did a finishing touch.
