Chapter 6 - Surprise

Angelica Heart P.O.V

I'm waking up in a daze. Yesterday, I had been thinking about Daniel Moon and all the things happened in Abraham party until I fall asleep. I quickly grab a shower as I feel hungry and plan to grab a quick breakfast. I saw Amber wake up early today. That's weird. Maybe she has a date with Abraham? 

When I come out from the bathroom, I noticed there are like four miscalls from an  unknown number. Who the f**k is this? Right before I ring the number back,  I receive another call from an number. I picked it up to answer it."Hello. This is Angelica. Who is this?"

"Good Morning, Lica. Don't you recognize me already?" As he finished his words, my body feel like I just touch a electric spark. That voice and the name the caller called me with. It's HIM.

I panicked. "How the hell did you get my number?"

    He went quiet for a while. I think somehow he get upset by the way he take his breath. I am waiting for his reply. Who the hell give my number to him. He calmly reply, "Hmmmm. No good morning wishes for me? You know, it can be consider as rude Lica. Plus, somehow I think you curse a lot. It's different from what what I heard from Amber yesterday. Regarding your question, I get your number from Ms. Amber Swan. Do you remember her? Now, let us get to the point. I want you to meet me in front of your house in twenty minutes. I want to have words with you."

    My heart racing as if I just finished a marathon. I try to be as collected as possible. How the f**k he know the guilty trip of mine? f**k. "First of all, good morning to you too. I'm sorry as I don't reply your greeting as it is kinda shocking for me to receive a call from someone who I don't give my number to. Secondly, I don't think we have anything to say to each other anymore so I won't be seeing you in twenty minutes."

    I can hear him laughing on the other side. The nerve. He cleared his throat and he say" Actually, you will. Since you are acting like hard head kind of person, I'll just tell you. You will be seeing me in approximately fifteen minutes from now because we will be having breakfast together with Ab and Amber. Didn't she tell you about this? Get ready. Unless you want to make Ab feel unwelcome to your house by not be around, I shall see you soon, my Lica." Then, he hung up.

    I'm shocked. I don't know about any breakfast plan. Amber so gonna have to explain this. "Amber!! Where are you??". I can hear her screaming in her room. "In here, babe! Help me out, will you? I need a hand to zip my dress up." I get into her room and see her trying her best to zip her dress. While I help her zipping it, I ask her to explain. "Babe, why on earth did you gave my number to Mr. Daniel Moon? I almost got a heart attack this morning when he gave me a call. Plus, what breakfast plan his talking about? I don't remember anything about any plan."

    Amber turn around and I see the excitement look on her face. " First of all, you said you and him are good and get along well together. I don't think there is any problem right? If he pissed you off, just blocked him. About breakfast, Dan told me and Ab that you helped him before. He told me he invited you to dinner to express his gratitude but you decline." 

    Then I see her expression changed. She seem upset. "He said you call him as someone you want to stay away from and you might worry about the rumors due to his reputation. Angie, I know you for ages and you are not someone who is rude. It is sad to see him so sad because of you and all he want is to thank you.  So since I already made plan earlier with Ab for breakfast date today, I decided to get you and him join the breakfast. Win-win situation. You are not mad at me right?" 

    That prick. How did he know Amber has a soft heart?  I feel like I want to lecture Amber on that. However, seeing Amber face with guilt all over her face is not my cup of tea. After take a deep breath, I put a smile for Amber. "It's okay. I'm not mad at you. It just that I'm shocked earlier for not being inform regarding this stuffs. Just make sure you don't do this again. You know I hate surprises."

    Amber smile to me and hug me. She pull me near to her closet. " Okay. I promise you. However, let's get you doll up for this breakfast. Dan seem to be fond of you. You should see his smile when I told him I'll arrange the breakfast plan today. As long as I know him, I never see him smiled that way. Ab told me, the smile he showed when I told him your number and the plan were the genuine smile of his. Let's get you in this dress."

    I feel my heart skip a beat when she said that. But then the event in the restaurant and in the party flashed back into my mind. He might want to get close with me because of the rumors and nickname that make him want to f**k me. I am not that innocent to believe on this, "He's pretending, Amber. He might just want to have f**k me due to the rumors and the nickname. Just like the others. Or maybe he is bored? Plus, I saw him dumped the girl coldly and I don't plan to be the next girl. Maybe he just want to shut my mouth on that incident since he is rich and need to maintain his reputation? I am not his type Am and you know that. He's a player Am.  I plan to stay away from a player like him and I don't plan to change it anytime soon."

    Amber quickly tie the ribbon of my dress and help me with my hairdo She so good in the hairdo department."Babe, you been thinking way too far. You might don't notice this, but you are attractive. Look at your exes. It's true they approached you because of the rumors at first , but after learnt the truth about you, they still around and try to continue dating you. It just that you dumped them afterwards."

    I tried to answer back but Amber quickly cut my words. "Before you said it's all done out of guilt, better think again. Regarding you saw he dumping Jessie, I don't think he care about it. He dumped her because she is the one who had been sleeping around so I don't think he need to keep you shut. I think you should get to know him. I mean you guys actually kinda in the same boat. Peoples had been judging you guys based on the actions that you guys had taken without knowing the reason behind those actions. You don't like peoples did that to you so why you doing that to him?Okay, done."

    I look into the mirror and I look good. Amber know what she is doing. While watching Amber do final checking to make sure she look perfect,  I try to digest Amber words. I mean if what Amber said is true, then it does explain his calmness at the restaurant. It's also explain why he seem bothered when I highlight that I want to stay away from him because he is a player. Maybe what Amber talking about is not totally baseless. I don't like peoples to judge me then why do I judge him without knowing him first? Great. Now I feel guilty for acting rude to him.

    My thought abruptly disturbed as Angie nudge me, "Angie, what are you thinking about? They're here. Let's go. We'll have to take different cars though. Changes in plan. Dan will give you a ride to our breakfast place as I need to go with Ab to his mom house to welcome her back from her trip. We'll see you guys around later, okay? I'll be there as soon as possible. By the way, Angie, just play nice and open your mind about him. If he is a douche, let me know and then you can always block him."

    I want to argue but since I feel guilty to Daniel, I promised Amber and don't really argue. I plan to apologized to him in the car ride.I am not usually rude but I let my assumption influence me. I should not do that. We headed out together.

    As I step outside of the house and locking the door, I can feel like someone is watching me. When I turn around to see who it is, I see the most mesmerizing green eyes again. It's him. Daniel Moon. My heart seem like stop to beat when my eyes met his eyes..
