Chapter 9“Hey, Lee.” I smiled down the phone and my cheeks blushed when I heard his breath coming from the other end of the line.
“Hey gorgeous, what’s up?” He sounded concerned. “I wasn’t expecting to hear from you quite so soon.”
“I was thinking, the two of you looked after me so well last night I want to repay the favour,” I explained. I was busily cleaning the kitchen in mine and Kate’s apartment to the point that the countertops were practically shining. After we’d returned from our run, she’d gone off to shower and I’d set to work cleaning the place.
