Chapter 11

We walked into the club to see the building was packed full. The floor was covered up with people that were jumping, grinding, and twisting around with one another. We made our way around the outskirts of the floor to get to our reserved table. April had arranged for us to already have some drinks brought to our table as we arrived. A quickly pulled out some little bottles from her purse and began emptying some of them into our glasses. Oh, she is trouble. After finishing off our first round of drinks A grabbed ahold of my hand and pulled me out on the dance floor. The only way to see anything on the floor was from the flashes of the party lights hanging from the ceiling. We stayed close dancing together to keep from us getting separated. We easily had been dancing for a good twenty or third minutes. The sweat was already running down our bodies with the heat of everyone being close together. It was normal to feel others bump up against you while you dance. Even at times i would occasionally feel a hand go to my hips from a guy that wanted to dance. I would show no interest and most times they would go find a willing participant instead. As we dance, a guy came up right behind me, pushing himself up against me. I didn’t mind dancing along with someone but I didn’t like when he started to thrust his pelvis against my backside. I tried to move closer towards A and put some distance between us, but he just moved closer to me. I turned to ask this guy to back off when I was met with solid black eyes. He grabbed ahold of my wrist and began pulling me off the dance floor. I tried to struggle away from him, but the man easily over powered me. He shoved me into one of the corner vip booths and pulled the curtain closed behind him. The man was very tall, clearly over six feet, with large muscles that pushed his black t-shirt to its limit. I noticed his eyes were no longer black, but blue and his bald head gave way to his tattoos that started on the back of his neck and, I presume, go down his back. What could this man possibly want? If he thought I was the kind of girl that would give herself to any guy that came along, he was mistaken. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here.” His voice was heavy. The smell of his sweat reached my nose, causing me to scrunch my face up with distaste. “I think you have the wrong person. I don’t know you.” I worked myself further back in the booth away from him. “Oh, but I know you, Cecily Fallon.” I was in complete shock. How did he know my name? “And Keogh said to not let you get away this time.” The man lunged for me. I was able to move just in time to see him collide into the seat behind me. He groaned as he grabbed the top of his head where he hit. I go to quickly get out of the booth, when my head is jerked backward by my hair. A scream escapes my lips from the pain. I’m sure he had yanked some of the hair from my head. “Your alpha mate was not wise to let you out of his sight.” He hissed in my ear. Just the sound of his voice made me feel sick. “His loss will be my gain.” His tongue rolled out of his mouth as he leaned in like he was going to kiss me. I jabbed my elbow back hard into his gut, hoping he would let go of my hair. He hunched over mumbling something as he again yanked me toward him. “Somebody help me! Help!” I screamed hopelessly, knowing that I would never be heard over the music. Then, I felt excruciating pain as his fist connected with the side of my face. “Keogh said to bring you in unharmed, but he’ll forgive me for that.” He said with an arrogant tone. My ears were ringing. I could no longer hear the music playing around us. I heard only buzzing and felt pain. “I don’t think he’ll forgive me for this though. So we’re just gonna keep this our secret.” His deep voice sibilated in my ear. He ripped open my shirt exposing my bra as I screamed. His eyes were solid black again as he licked his lips looking down at me. I knew then what he was planning to do. I thrashed around as he was able to hold me down with just one hand as he began to undo his pants. I tried kicking my legs to see if I could hit him in some way or knock him off balance. I only needed a small opportunity to get away. I screamed again, begging for someone to hear me. In that moment, the curtains flew open behind us. “Get the hell out!” My attacker yelled in his sadistic voice, determined in what he was about to do that he never looked behind him. I was taken aback to look over my attacker’s shoulder and see Liam looking as though he was about to kill this man. In seconds Liam had him off of me and pinned by the throat to the back wall. “How dare you touch my mate.” Liam’s canines began to protrude down more. “You’ll never do that to another woman again.” In one quick motion he used his teeth to rip out the side of the guys neck. Liam dropped him with a sickening thud to the floor as the already lifeless body began to bleed out. I didn’t feel any level of sadness for the guy. Liam came over and wrapped me in his arms. “How did you get here?” I ask still in surprise. “April couldn’t find you and called Garrett to tell me. Luckily, we weren’t far away.” I began to sob as the realization of everything that did and was going to happen hit me. I fell into Liam, drowning myself in the comfort of being with him. Liam shrugged off his jacket and draped it around me to cover up my exposed upper half. He waisted no time scooping me up and carrying me bridal style. I was thankful to just bury my face into his chest. “Thank god you found her.” I heard Garrett’s voice as Liam started moving to get us out of here. “Oh my gosh! Is she ok?” I heard April yelling as she came running up next to us. “She will be. It’s time to go.” He didn’t even wait for a response from anyone, we all just made our way to the exit. Liam continued to hold onto me even as we went to get into a black SUV. It was only then that he set me down so we could work our way to the far back seats. April and Garret filed in right behind us, taking the middle row captains chairs. The vehicle sped off leaving the city behind us and making our way back to Woods Creek. Liam leaned back against the side of the seat and pulled me over to him. I let the comfort of his arms wrap around me and his captivating scent engulf me. I was safe. He had managed to find me and kept anything from happening. He is my real life hero and I’m so grateful for him. I let my eyes close as I took one more deep breath of his scent before allowing sleep to over take me, with still one question on my mind, what did Liam mean by mate?
