CHAPTER 3

DRACO'S MANSION

The sitting room was adorned with beautiful furnishings, include plush and ornate sofas in luxurious fabrics.

“ Draco, our soon-to-be-husband”, the second man teased the first man who was sipping his wine with his legs crossed.

“ I can't wait to get married to Mirabelle,” the first man named Draco said with a smile.

“ You're so in love with Mirabelle”, The second man named Lamia said.

“ So when are your parents and your grandfather coming to New York for the wedding?” Lamia asked and Draco smiled.

“ They will be here by tomorrow. I just can't wait to get married next tomorrow.” Draco said, and Lamia nodded.

“ What about Matthew? Would he be around for the wedding?”

“ Yes, he would be around, since he is already in New York City” Draco said and stood up.

“ Let's go get my suit and yours since you're my best man” Draco said and grabbed his car key and walked out of the house with Lamia behind him.

“ Is Mirabelle's gown ready?” Lamia asked and Draco nodded.

“ Yes, I can't wait to see how beautiful she would be in the wedding dress”

“ Oh! Mr. lover boy. If this is how love is, I would love to fall in love too” Lamia pouted and Draco scoffed.

“ You? Fall in love? You can't because you can't live with just one p***y. You're a ladies man and would obviously get tired of one p***y” Draco said and Lamia's lip formed into a thin line.

“ You caught me. f*****g just one p***y isn't fun at all, so I would rather stay with my many p*****s than stick to just one like you” Lamia said and Draco glared jokingly at him.

“Sorry” Lamia said immediately and they both burst into laughter before driving away.

HAILEY'S POV

I was seated in my office, busy with work, when my secretary walked in and informed me that my friend Lisa was here to see me.

I ordered for to be let in, and I smiled when she walked in with a big smile on.

“ Hey babe. I missed you so much” Lisa pouted and walked towards me to pull me into a hug.

“ I missed you too. I hope you enjoyed your stay in California?” I asked and she broke the hug and chuckled.

“ If not because of you, I would rather stay in California than stay in New York. California is the best, can't you see I am glowing? I truly enjoyed my holidays there” Lisa said and I nodded.

“ I am glad you enjoyed your stay in California” I said, and she frowned, noticing how downcast I looked.

“ You look down, is anything the matter?” She asked as she sat on the sofa in my office, and I stood up to join her on the sofa.

“ I would be fine with time, you don't have to worry” I said with a reassuring smile, but she glared at me.

“ I always tell you to let me know if you're struggling, what are we friends for if you can't share your pain and struggles with me?” Lisa said, holding my hand with a smile and I took a deep breath and explained everything that happened without leaving a single detail out.

“ Tell me it's a lie? How dare Matthew do such a thing to you? Despite what you did for him? He is such a bastard, and that shameless b***h of a sister is just like her mother.” Lisa said and I smiled.

“ I wish I was there, I would have cut off that bastard's d**k and fed him to eat it” Lisa said in anger and I burst into laughter.

I am so happy she is back. Lisa is a no nonsense person. She doesn't tolerate nonsense, that was what I liked about her. Everything about her is always violence.

“ How about we go to a club to chill and find a man for you?” Lisa suggested after a long silence, and I immediately shook my head.

“ I am not interested” I said immediately and she scoffed.

“ You're no fun at all. Please come with me, I promise to make you feel better, that you will forget about Matthew in a blink of an eyelid" Lisa pouted cutely and I smiled.

“ Anything for my bestie. I would go to the club with you” I said, and she threw her hands in the air.

“ !! You're the best Hailey, that's why I love you” she said and I smiled.

After buying his suit and that of Lamia's, Draco decided to visit his fiancée, Mirabelle.

He was missing her already, although they both saw each other in the morning, he still couldn't help but miss her.

“ I hope she's around” Draco muttered and drove to Mirabelle's apartment.

His car came to a halt when he got to her apartment. He stepped out and knocked on the door, but there was no answer, so he unlocked her door with the password they both shared in each other's house.

“ Where is she?” Draco frowned and made his way to the kitchen but found it empty, so he decided to check her bedroom.

As he made his way upstairs, he began to hear some voices, and he frowned.

“ Are Mirabelle's friends here already?” He asked himself as he continued making his way upstairs.

With every step he took, the voices became clearer, and it was a male's voice and that of Mirabelle's. That alone made Draco's heart skip.

What could a male be possibly doing in his fiancée's room?

As he got to the door to Mirabelle's room, his heart jumped into his mouth when he began to hear moans and groans from the room.

He opened the door quickly with shaking hands, only to see the most shocking scene ever.

Mirabelle was being f****d by an unknown man, and she was moaning senselessly, and they were oblivious of Draco's entrance.

“ Is this what you've been doing that you didn't answer my call?” Draco's broken voice echoed out, and Mirabelle's eyes widened as she pushed the man off her and sat upright.

“ Hey babe.” She called in a shaky voice. “ It's not what you're thinking, Draco,” Mirabelle said, trying to justify herself.

“ So, what were you both doing? Mirabelle, we are getting married in two day time, and you're here f*****g an unknown man. What did you ever ask for that I didn't give to you?” Draco shouted, making Mirabelle and the man flinch in fear.

His voice was so scary that Mirabelle swallowed nothing in fear.

He was no more the sweet Draco he once knew, he was now scared that she felt like the ground should open and swallow her up.

“ I…am ... .so.....sorry…Draco” Mirabelle stuttered as she crawled towards Draco and held his leg.

“ I promise to change. I will never cheat on you again, just forgive me this once” Mirabelle said in between tears.

“ Do you think what you did is forgivable?” Draco asked as he took his leg roughly from Mirabelle's grip, causing her to fall heavily on the ground.

“ Next tomorrow is our wedding, Draco. Your parents, your grandparents, your friends and other people are all coming, what would you tell them if you called off our wedding?” Mirabelle said, and Draco wiped his tears.

“ You would have thought of that before cheating on me with such a thing and skinny looking man” Draco muttered hatefully.

“ Please Draco. Just give me one more chance, please” Mirabelle pleaded and tried to touch his trouser, but Draco glared hatefully at her.

“ Don't you dare. This marriage is called off, and I don't want to ever see you close to me, if not, you would be as good as dead. You've ruined the chances of having this loving man beside you and turned him into a cold-blooded monster the moment you thought of cheating on him” Draco said and stormed out of the room, leaving Mirabelle who was crying bitterly.
