The Curse of Mystic Valley

Chapter 5

Uncle Axel’s business partner surprised me when he said that he was headed to Baton Rouge in the morning to meet up with Cora Salvatore for a business deal they had been working on when I loud woohoo Nico asked me what that was for and I told him that I will actually be working for the Salvatore’s as their VP of historical archives in their maritime Museum, he offered to take us via Jet if we wanted to and that his transportation company would bring our vehicle there and our belongs which on be a day behind us I looked at Damon and Kenzie and we accepted the offer. Nico called his guys from the transportation company, and they said they would be there in an hour to get the cars, so I grabbed the stuff that I needed for now my laptop and toiletries and two bags of clothes and left everything else in the car and truck. We spend the rest of the hanging out with my brother Damon went to talk to Nico about a job if he had any connection or offices in Baton Rouge. I spent time together with Uncle Axel’s wife and Kingston’s girlfriend. Dinner they had a big ass bonfire and grill. When we finished for the night, I was exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep. So, I went to the room I was staying in and showered and got in bed and fell right asleep.

I woke up the next morning to my alarm buzzing and I looked at the clock and it was 6:45 I was running late, we supposed to be leaving for the airport at 7:30 I throw on my sundress and throw all my stuff in the bag and made sure I had everything and walked to my door when I opened it there was a maid standing there she was just about to knock to wake me up she told me that breakfast is being served in the kitchen and that she will take my bags down to the car for me. I looked at and said thank you and headed to eat.

Uncle Axel was standing there talking and he smiled when he seen me asked if I wanted some coffee, I told him I sure do. I was trying to shake the dream I had last night it is the same dream I have had repeatedly for the last 2 years, it is crazy I still don’t know what it means, I haven’t told anyone about it because I afraid if I do, they will think I am crazy. I drank my coffee and ate breakfast then at 7:15 Nico told us we should head to the cars so I gave my uncle and huge hug and told him I will see him soon. I huge my aunt Natasha, and I turned to my brother my twin I was happy and sad because this is the first time in a long time that I have seen him happy but that I spend time with him. He walks over to me and sees that I was getting ready to cry he lifts my head and tells me not to cry that I will see him soon mostly likely for our 21st birthday he gives me this huge bear hug and walks us to the car. His Girlfriend Adaline has already left for work so I couldn’t say bye to her. We drove about 20 minutes until we arrived a private airfield, we boarded the plane, and we took off 20 minutes later. Our flight to was about 3.5 hours when we landed, we were at a private airstrip when we got off the plane a SUV was waiting for us, we all got into the SUV, and we headed to meet the Salvatore’s before we were supposed to meet up with the Realtor.

 The young lady from the WIC Real Estate Company called me last night and told me that I won the raffle for the Planation home that is in Mystic Valley, right outside of Baton Rouge. And the WIC office that we are meeting the Salvatore’s is a place called Mystic Commons, the drive from the airstrip to the office building was about 25 minutes I was looking at the scenery, it was very beautiful area, I have always been told that Louisiana isn’t that pretty because it has a lot of swamps I couldn’t believe it, I guessing they were talking about the cities. They had big ass Magnolia trees all over the place when we pulled up to the office building it was huge and looked like it was busy Nico, told us to keep our belongs in the car and when we met the realtor, we could get them out. So, I grabbed my purse and we walked into the building when we got inside Nico told the assistant that we were here to see Cora and Connor Salvatore, she called somewhere I told them, and she told us to take the elevator to the 11th floor they were expecting us. When we got to the 11th floor, we were greeted by two people I recognized them as Cora and Connor.

A few minutes later Damon told me that his realtor just called they have the paperwork ready and keys for their new house and that they needed to go meet with her know I told him to go ahead he said that they would meet me back here after they finished. After they left Cora and Connor decide to split up Connor took Nico to talk about their busy deal and Cora took me to my new office. When we got to my office it was huge, I was on the 11th floor down the hallway from Cora and Connor’s office Cora told me that she has started the interviews for my personal administrative assistant but if I wanted to choose my own, I was welcome to. I nodded my head. After she showed me my office, she took me down to the basement it gave me a creepy and eerie feeling while we were heading down there. When we got to a huge metal door with huge plex glass windows, Cora had to place her hand on the keypad to open it. She said that was the security measure for the archive vault on four people have access to that room her, Connor and me and my assistant. No one else will have direct access to it. I was shocked I know she said they have a lot of valuable stuff, but I didn’t think it was that valuable. After she showed me everything, we went ahead and got my biometric in the system and all my information put in, so I have access to the systems. When we finished, we went back to my office, and I went ahead and took a better look at it I loved it I took pictures and send them to my parents and brother. When we finished Cora invited me to dinner at their house I accepted, The Realtor I was waiting on called me and told me that she would pick me up shortly to go and show me the property.
