Andrew

“It’s time” Hannah stood in the open door way.  Samuel made his way inside to hold Liliths hand. A few moment later the baby squealed.  He was perfect, the nurse cleaned him up and placed him in Liliths arms.  Samuel stood looking in awe at the site before him. They had thrown around a few names but after seeing him Samuel simply said “Andrew” Lilith smiled “you read my mind.”       They had spent a few days in the hospital and they were packing up to leave. Lilith took a few steps over to where her mother stood holding the sleeping baby. “I need your help with something, I want to bind Andrews powers and suppress his wolf. We plan to raise him as a human. The treaty has yet to be signed and we have to hide his existence until it’s safe.”  Hannah agreed, they still weren’t able to identify the person who poisoned Lilith and the treaty would not be signed until they did.        Hanna made sure she kept in contact with Thadius, she would update him about his friend, and visa versa. Lilith was excited when Hannah told her that Anna was expecting and elated when they learned it was a girl. Lilith had even joked that if she had red hair like Anna they could call her Red Robin.  It became an inside joke when Anna actually named her Robyn.         4 years later      The drive was quiet, Andrew had fallen asleep in the back seat.  Lilith held Samuels hand as they drove along the dark highway.  It was Saturday night and they had just finished shopping for school clothes, Andrew was starting kindergarten Monday.  He was so excited he barely slept the last two days.  Suddenly there was a loud thud on the side of the car, Samuel slammed on the breaks and the tires hissed in protest.  The wheels hit dirt and sent the car spinning, glass shattered around them and the frame of the car twisted as it hit the ground over and over.  It finally came to rest a few yards behind the tree line.       Andrew found himself laying in the middle of the road, it would have been pitch black if not for the faint lights up ahead.  He didn’t know how long he was there but a car finally stopped.  The woman saw Andrew curled in a ball on the road, thanks to her quick reflexes she didn’t hit him.  The child was inconsolable, she placed him in her car and ran to check the occupants in the wreckage.  The man had already expired and his passenger wouldn’t be far behind. The woman thought for a few minutes and then drove off with Andrew in her backseat.
