Diana

Being designated as an omega, I felt my mom was disappointed. I have no idea why, seeing as she's one herself. I grew up in a pack family. My omega mom, three Alpha Dads and my siblings. I was the only female. It wasn't a surprise I designated as an omega while my brothers, David, John and Ryan were all Alphas. But I can't help but feel mom would have wanted me to be a Beta. I can't blame her, omegas are seen as weaker vessels and we go through a lot of discrimination and criticisms. Though the government has implemented omega rights and we're now equal in society but that's just in papers. The Hierarchy still stands.I've seen my own fair share of heartbreaks and omega discrimination. My former pack, if I could call them that. We weren't bonded but they took care of me. In the sense, they provided physically and financially but never emotionally. That's where I learnt why we were called the weaker vessels. Cause we were the most emotionally vulnerable. The Vance pack gave what they could but it's not what I needed. I wanted to be loved, cherished, I wanted a bond like my mom, I wanted to be happy, not cause I was bought gifts and taken on expensive vacations. i wanted the thoughtfulness behind it. Sure, you can call me greedy but i won't settle for less. And since they weren't ready to be that for me. I left the pack. I'm done being claimed by a pack who don't fully understand the meaning of claiming. And since I'm not getting younger, I signed up for the all round the month match-up feast in a city half way across the world from mine. Who knows maybe I'll be matched with a pack that's meant to be mine.

Chapter 1
Diana I just got out off the plane. I pick my suitcase from the checkout and drag it behind me. Finally here. Zurich City. Leaving the Vance pack wasn't an easy feat. And no one should come at me saying i should have spoken to them first. I did, countless times. They made it clear, they didn't want to bond and I'm not staying for the long run when there's nothing at the end. As I neared the road, a Beta approached me. He looked to be in his mid forties and wore a driver's uniform. "Excuse me ma'am, do you meed a ride?" I nodded. He took my suitcase and led me to his cab. In the past omegas weren't usually allowed to journey on their own without an escort but since the omega rights came into constitution, we allowed given that we're on suppressants and scent blockers. Yep the name explains it. Suppressants help to control and suppress heats while the scent blockers, block out our scent so we don't attract unwanted attention. I got into the passenger seat, while the driver put my suitcase in the trunk. His scent lingered in the car, a warm blend of ginger and cinnamon. "Where to, ma'am?" He asked, when he settled in the driver's seat. "East Palace" I answered "You're here for the match up?" He asked as he started the car. He didn't sound judging, more like curious. "Yeah" i answered He turned on the ignition, pulling away smoothly from the curb. We drove in silence. My attention out the window, watching the scenery as we drove by. My parents weren't exactly in support of this but they didn't get to make the choice for me. I'm 26 and I'll be damned if I'm not wedded by next year. This is my decision to make and I'm done waiting for crap to happen, I'm going to make it happen. We arrived at East Palace in thirty minutes. I paid the driver. He took my suitcase out of the trunk, pushing it towards me. "I hope you find what you're looking for" I nodded. I hope I do too. I walk towards the Palace. A place like this can't be described with anything other than a palace. Even the interior itself. I walked over to the check in desk. "Hi, I'm here to check in for the match up?" I said to the lady at the desk. She looked like an omega, soft features and a huge smile. "Your name, please?" She asked softly "Diana Channing" She typed a few things one her computer. "Oh, there you are. You're in Room 10. Here is your key card" She passed me a flat platinum card. "Oh, we also need you to wear this. It's just to keep things in order and make sure nothing goes wrong" She handed me a pink rubber bracelet. I read about it, when they uploaded the terms for the match up. Each designation will be given a bracelet upon arrival so as tell which is which. They also arranged nests in case of any omega who goes into heat during the match up. We'll be having an orientation tomorrow to take a look and register which you would want to use during that situation. Omegas were also required to fill a form if they wanted an Alpha help during their heat and they matched with scents who are biologically compatible. I swear whoever decide to do this stuff went all out to make sure everything is thought of. I put on the bracelet and get my keys. "Thank you" I say to the omega at the desk. I confirmed she was when I got a whiff of her unblocked scent and few more. She's bonded. I saw a silver of bite mark peeking out of her collar plus the musky scent that clung to her. "Anytime, and if you need anything just log into the app and place your request. We'll be there stat" I nodded, flashing her a smile before going to the elevator. I pressed a button and waited for the elevator. I stepped in when the doors slid open and pressed the button for my room. This is it, we are doing this.
