When I regained consciousness, I was very comfortable. I stretched my legs first and opened my eyes. It was somewhat dark where I was and I could hear someone snoring lightly. Before I could sit up, however, someone grabbed me. I could tell it was Jackson by the grumble I heard.
“It’s really early my love. Go back to sleep for a few more hours.”
“Jackson, how long have I been out?” I whispered over my shoulder.
“Most of the day and night. It’s only about five in the morning right now.”
“I was out that long? No wonder I feel like I need a shower.”
Jackson chuckled and pulled me closer. I wiggled to get away from him. He tightened his hold. “You’re not going to go back to sleep, are you?”
“Not anytime soon. You can go back to sleep though. I’ll just go take a shower and get ready for the day. You boys need your rest just as much as I do.”
Jackson sighed then laughed quietly. He was dragging me out of the bed before I could say anything else. I was tossed over his shoulder as he stalked into the bathroom. I giggled as he shut the door so we didn’t wake the others. I was still in the same clothes as the other day but Jackson didn’t stop to let me take them off. He walked straight into the shower with his shorts on. I squealed as he began turning on the water. I was able to wiggle out of his grasp and get out before I was soaked with my clothes still on.
I laughed at his disgruntled expression. I was not showering in my clothes. He watched me pull my shirt over my head and smirked. I was removing my pants when he threw something my way. I realized it was his shorts. I straightened to a beautiful scene. Jackson was nude in the shower with water cascading down his body. Slowly I went toward him smiling. I only made it past the shower door when he moved.
I barely caught the movement before I was lifted into his arms and my legs were wrapped around his waist. We kissed each other like it was our first time. I poured every ounce of passion and love for him into our kiss. I felt his fingers slide through my folds to my core. I was already soaked the moment I realized he had taken his shorts off. He grunted when he realized I was ready for him. This wasn’t the time for sweet love making. I had almost lost him and then I was almost taken from him. I need to feel him within me, I needed to feel alive again. He seemed to feel the same as me.
Without much adjustment he swiftly filled me. I cried out at the feeling of being filled by him, breaking our kiss. He looked into my eyes as my body adjusted to his invasion. I bit my lip and nodded. He began to move within me fast and hard. We stared into each other’s eyes as he pushed us both into bliss. I felt the pleasure growing in my belly as Jackson didn’t hold back. My orgasm ripped through me just as he rode me. His name fell from my tongue as he tipped over the edge after me.
We stood there for a moment while our breathing returned to normal. He held me to him a little longer before I was placed on my feet. I walked into the water with a happy sigh. Jackson immediately started lathering my body with soap. I giggled as he paid attention to every inch of my skin. I grabbed his soap and returned the favor. I was so happy that he was allowing me to wash him like he did me. He laughed when I paid particular attention to his member.
After he pried my hands off his body, he turned me around to wash and condition my hair. His fingers massaged my scalp as he worked through my thick hair. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the meticulous way Jackson washed my hair. I tried to wash his hair and he said absolutely not. I pouted but he would not budge. While I rinsed the conditioner out of my hair, I saw him wash his quickly. I had a lot more hair to deal with so he knew I’d be occupied. Well played sir.
He wrapped me in an oversized black towel before slinging one around his waist. He saw my questioning look. “Your brother and his mate insisted on sleeping on the couch in our room.”
I laughed as he excited the room. I walked over to my sink and found my toothbrush and other essentials waiting for me. I began brushing my teeth as I used the towel to dry my hair. Jackson returned clothed with my clothes in his hand. He froze when he saw me standing naked at the sink. I continued to brush my teeth and dry my hair laughing to myself.
The door opened and Jeremy walked in. He wasn’t fully awake yet because he didn’t even notice us when he came in. He went right for one of the toilets without bothering to close any doors. Jackson rolled his eyes as he shut the main door. I rinsed my mouth and began to dress in what I was brought. No one had picked out my outfits before. I noticed he had brought me comfortable clothes, just how I liked.
I heard the toilet flush and Jeremy emerged. He walked right into the closed door. Jackson and I tried to suppress our laughter as he cursed the door. He left the room and closed the door behind him. Jackson and I lost it then. I was still laughing as I finished getting dressed.
The door opened again and it was Jake and Sara. Sara went right to one of the toilets and shut the door. Jake looked me over, “feeling better?”
“Much. You didn’t have to sleep on the couch though.”
“Sara wouldn’t let me go back to our room even if I wanted to.” He kissed my temple and occupied the other toilet.
I shook my head and headed out the door. Jackson followed me out of our room before he asked where we were going. I was dying of thirst so to the kitchen we went. I realized too late that I had no clue where anything was in here. I froze just inside the door wishing Gretchen was already in here. No such luck. I could see the sun raising as I thought what to do.
Jackson chuckled as he went over to what looked like a cabinet. It was the fridge. He pulled out some orange juice in a glass pitcher. I lifted my eyebrow at him. He went right to the glasses and poured me a cup.
“I spent some time in here with Gretchen. She was teaching me how to make homemade pasta.” My mouth dropped open in shock. “I may not eat but you do my love. I want to be able to make your favorite for you whenever you want it.”
That statement, which he made so nonchalantly, touched me. My heart swelled with love for him. I closed the distance between us and hugged him to me. He stroked my still damp hair as I hugged him. I pulled back enough to look into his eyes. I could see the love he had for me. I allowed him to see the love for him and the happiness he created in me. He was the most thoughtful man I had ever met and he was mine.
He pushed the cup of juice into my hand for me to drink. One drink and I moaned, “this is so good.”
“It’s freshly squeezed I think.” Jackson looked thoughtful.
“Of course it is.” Gretchen was walking into the kitchen tying her apron. “My sons take turns making it for me. Gage did this batch.”
I smiled at her warmly and took another drink. “Well he did a wonderful job. It’s heavenly.”
She laughed at my comment, “Gage will love to hear that from you little witch.”
“Do you need any help this morning?”
“Little witch.” Her tone was sharp. “We both know that I need no help.”
“That’s good because I can’t cook anyway. I might be able to set the table though.”
Gretchen burst out laughing then and shooed us out of the kitchen. I took my juice onto the front porch with Jackson. He sat in a rocking chair and pulled me onto his lap. I sighed happily and enjoyed my juice and his company. My mind began to wander and I thought about the vision I had with Jasper.
“Jackson?”
“Yes my love.”
“In the vision I shared with Jasper, I saw twin boys playing with Jeremy in a field. Jeremy was in wolf form letting the boys chase him around. We were all so happy. Do you think that you and I could have a child?” I watched him closely.
“I would say no little one, however, I don’t know. As you know we can’t have children unless it’s with a true born female vampire. I would think that it would be the same with you and I.” Sadness made my heart heavy and I looked away. Jackson moved my face to look at him again. “We don’t know what our future holds my love. You are more than a gifted wiccan, you are special. I do know that if I were blessed enough to have a child with you, I hope that we could have a daughter as kind, brave, loving, smart, and beautiful as her mother is.”
I smiled and snuggled into his arms. Maybe we would have a child. He was right, I’m different than the others. We couldn’t rule it out completely. I could just pray to the Lord and Lady for a miracle. The front door opened and Luther walked out with a mug in his hand. I could smell the coffee. I never really like coffee, I preferred hot tea. I wouldn’t begrudge anyone their coffee fix though.
“Feeling better I see, Miss Angel.”
“Yes Luther I am. Thank you for asking.”
He nodded as Isabelle appeared sipping her own mug of coffee. “There you are.”
Jackson took my empty glass as Isabelle pulled me toward one of the benches. “I’m so glad you’re awake. Things were tense while you were recovering.”
We sat beside each other on the bench, “tense?”
“She’s referring to us little one. We were all on edge without you.”
I looked at Jackson skeptically, he shrugged. Isabelle’s laughter rang out. “They were more than on edge. The wolf was more like a bear. Growling at everyone, grumbling about everything, pacing around like a caged beast. Not to mention the fire.”
“Fire!?”
“I already apologized for that.” Jasper joined us on the porch with a mug of coffee.
“You started a fire?” I was shocked. Why would he do that?
“Jasper hasn’t lost control like that in forever. He was grumpy and worried about you so he lost control.” Isabelle laughed as she teased her brother.
“It wasn’t that bad.” Jasper sounded defensive.
“You burned one of the couches in the sitting room. Mom had to throw it out.”
Isabelle was laughing harder now. I suppressed my giggle after seeing Jasper’s embarrassment. Was he blushing? I got up and walk over to him, hugging him to me. He was so much taller than me that I could only wrap my arms around his middle.
“I’m so sorry for causing you so much stress Jasper. If you weren’t so worried about me that wouldn’t have happened.”
I looked up into his eyes as I apologized. His eyes softened while looking at my upturned face. I went on my tiptoes so I could kiss him. He leaned down and kissed me softly. He pulled back and place a kiss on my forehead. I remained hugging Jasper as Jeremy emerged from the house. He kissed my temple and went to lean on the banister. I smiled and was about to ask him about the growling, when Eren came out.
“You are awake I see.”
“Yes I am. Jackson told me I was out for the entire day. I see someone acquired new vehicles. What else did I miss?”
“We took care of getting everything chere. Isabelle watched over you while we took care of everything. By the way Isabelle, sorry for being so grouchy yesterday.”
She laughed and waved him off. “It’s fine.”
I wonder what other damage I caused. “Did I do any damage to anything when I lost control?”
“The only damage was to the goblins.” Isabelle laughed as she told me.
“You seemed to be protecting everything else. Jay and Jack both tried to get to you but it was like a shield around the house. We couldn’t get through it. The car needed realigned but that’s it.” Jasper was rubbing my back as he told me.
“The goblins took the brunt of it all. When you screamed the bullet shattered and flew into them. They were still alive but your magic tore their organs apart. Jay was fighting the barrier your magic put up but we couldn’t break through. I’m not sure how the humans were able to get to you. It wasn’t until you began to fall that the barrier weakened.” Jackson was running his hand over his jaw while he explained.
“Her magic wouldn’t have allowed her to be hurt. And even if it did, Daisy would have cushioned her. It would be nice to have an earth Fae in the family.” Isabelle stated.
“Your mother and I are fire so that means you and your brother will be too.”
Isabelle waved her father off with a laugh. His focus had never left me since he joined us. I felt uncomfortable, like he was examining me for some reason. I didn’t stop him as he reach out for my hand. I just placed my hand into his and felt the familiar shock that I had with Isabelle and Jasper. He looked at me even closer after that.
“Hmmm. Very interesting. She feels human but gives that shock of a wiccan. You are intriguing to say the least. I wonder what else you are hiding.”
“Father.” Jasper sounded upset.
“I wonder.” Eren looked thoughtful as he looked me over.
I was about to say something when I felt something. I took a deep breath and that was a mistake. I could smell fear on the air. It was intoxicating as it filled my lungs. A shudder ran through me as I tried to control myself. I couldn’t tell who it was coming from as I looked around. It seemed to be coming from everyone and no one. It coiled around my body like the temptation of a drug. I tried to clear my head but the smell was so strong. I could see Jeremy and Jackson speaking to me but I couldn’t hear them. Jasper was squeezing my shoulders and his mouth was moving too. I was caught in a dream like state. Then just like that it was gone. I gasped, pulling as much air into my lungs as I could. What just happened?
“Very interesting indeed. You are most certainly the girl from the prophecy.”
“What are you talking about?” Jeremy sounded pissed.
“She is most certainly an empath, that’s how she can sense other beings. Only the demon breeds can smell fear, however.”
Did he say demon? I froze instantly. If I was a demon then why was I in a prophecy? No one said a word as I processed this information. I had to get out of here. I needed to be alone. This was too much. With my mind in chaos, I took off running. I could feel Jeremy shift and follow me. Jackson and Jasper on his heels. I couldn’t be with them right now. I had to be alone. The magic in me swelled as I tried desperately to lose the three men behind me. I felt them stop but I kept going, right into the trees. I ran through the trees as carefully as I could, still trying to get farther away from everyone.
