Heat is just Sauna

CLAIRE'S POV:

Leila explained to me that his office is located in the first floor. The second floor is where his family and friend hang out. And the entire last floor is the Alpha's chambers, the two bedrooms, two more empty rooms, his kitchen, his living room, and everything.

Were in his kitchen, eating.

I honestly don't know why I did that before.

I don't deal with awkwardness well so my body just moves on its own.

Alpha Blake is currently watching me eat my steak. I never had these kind of good food unless my previous alpha has a lot of leftovers then we, omegas eat that.

I looked over at him which is beside me while he flicked through the channel. This was the only time I get to process his looks.

He is a very debonair man, with his black hair that has a some white highlights. His eyes were the shade of amber. It's pretty. He's pretty.

I felt my cheeks burning up because of my thoughts so I continued eating.

"Slow down, little mate. Take your time with your food." Alpha Blake snapped me from my thoughts.

That's the only moment I realized I was eating fast. I tend to eat fast because I only have so little time before Alpha Jason will ask for me again.

I felt my cheeks burn up even more out of embarrassment so I ate slowly. "I-I'm sorry. I got used to eating fast with the little time I have."

Alpha Blake growled that made me drop my spoon and fork. "I am gonna make them pay for what they've done to you."

He noticed he scared me and his expression changed into a worried look. "I'm sorry little mate, that wasn't for you."

There were silence between the two of us for a while.

"Listen, Claire." He ran his hand through his dark hair. "Yesterday, we found a few of your pack members."

My eyes went wide.

What if they told Alpha Jason I'm here.

Is he sending me back to my pack too?

Alpha Blake continued, "Your previous pack's third in command, two warriors, and two omegas. I sent the third in command and two warriors back to their packs but the two omegas begged to stay. Don't worry, I made sure they didn't know that you and the two other omegas are here."

I sighed in relief and felt tears run down my face.

"What's wrong Claire?" He moved closer to me.

I shook my head.

He held my shoulder, "Claire, listen. This is your pack now, and this pack will do anything just to protect their fellow pack members. We won't let anything happen to you. I won't let anything happen to you. Do you understand?"

I wiped my tears and nodded.

He sighed, moving back to his original position. "And Claire, I have to talk to you about something too." His eyes were meeting mine. He seemed worried and nervous at the same time.

I nodded for him to continue.

"The full moon is within a month now and since you met me, your mate, and me being an Alpha, you're going to be experiencing heat."

Heat?

I gave him a confused look.

"Heat is when you find your mate and you will feel this strong urge of craving your mate's touch. Without your mate's touch, you will continue to feel that pain. Everything of you will be very sensitive and active." He hesitated but still continued. "Every unmated male wolves will be able to smell your thirst and scent that'll make them lose control over their wolf and will want to..." he clenched his fist, "...mate with you."

I blushed again, cupping my cheeks with my hand.

Mate?

I don't think I'm ever ready for that.

"You're also going to experience this pain that will last for 3 days or maybe more because you haven't shifted and has no control over your wolf so you'll be experiencing it worse than most female wolves. My touch can only relieve you from the pain." I can see his eyes flicker from amber to black.

He closed his eyes for a few seconds and as soon as he opened it, his amber eyes are back.

His touch.

Just thinking about it sent tingles down my spine.

"So if that happens, you will have to stay in here. Don't worry, I'll have Leila come over here with you if you need company. Jake can guard outside your door since he's already mated."

I rose a brow at him. "What about you?"

He looked at me with hesitation. "I'll be away once that happens."

I wanna ask why and where he is going but he doesn't seem to want to answer that so I shake it off.

Silence filled the room.

Heat...I heard it a lot from my previous pack. Female warriors tend to feel heat and when one do, it's a night full of loud howls and growls. Will it be the same in here?

I thought I wasn't capable of getting to feel heat. No one explained to me what it is and how it's gonna make a she-wolf feel.

Another pain. Although I think I will do well. I've been through a lot of physical pain that I started feeling numb.

Alpha Blake scoffed. "Claire, do you wanna see the omegas from your previous pack? They were fed and provided with clean cloth."

I looked at him before looking down my lap.

Can I really?

What if the two of them are spies?

Some of my fellow omegas will do everything for Alpha Jason to favor them. They will tell him everything even if it meant you're going down.

He slowly held my hand, sparks immediately radiating all over my body. "Are you scared my little mate? Do you want to know there names first?"

For some reason, my body didn't shake when he touched me. I gave him a nod.

He went silent for a few seconds. "Jane and Lexie."

My eyes went wide. I know them! We clean the Alpha's chambers before and set the table.

"You know them?"

I nodded.

"Do you wanna see them now?"

I nodded again as he smiled. Helping me stand up and leading me to the elevator.

We met the blonde guy from before at the ground floor. I instantly cowered.

Alpha Blake noticed it and growled at him, holding me tighter.

"Zane, whatever you did to my mate, you scared the hell out of her!"

Blonde guy, Zane, bowed a bit. "My apologies Alpha. It will never happen again."

Alpha Blake sighed and patted his shoulder. "My mate's seeing the two omegas."

Zane nodded and led us to another building.
