"I am happy for you, Ruth," Lucy, who heard the conversation Ruth was having on the phone, speaks up.
"Isn't this just a wonderful thing to happen just after what I have gone through?" Ruth says. "I think we should do a little celebration. Going back to campus today is out of the question for you since it's already late, right? You will spend your first night with us, and we will make lots of food and put on music until midnight!" Ruth says happily, then looks at Lucy's face, who looks a bit unsure. "You are not thinking of refusing, are you?"
Lucy contemplates her for a moment, then laughs. "How can I refuse? I am not doing anything tomorrow anyway, so I might as well spend the day with you guys. Now, Barbecue?"
