Chapter 06: The werewolf

"Thank you so much for letting me stay here in your house." The next day, when it was light all around the forest, Florina immediately said goodbye to Matilda.
That night they still talked about the Primordial Werewolf. Florina didn't know if she could believe what the old woman was saying.
"Whatever your plan is, I hope you won't regret it in the end. Remember that your life and that of the werewolf are at stake if you keep running away," Matilda reminded her again.
"I don't know yet what I should do Matilda. I'm afraid, the world they live in is dangerous," Florina admitted to the old woman.
"You need to trust him. He already knows that you are is his mate, a werewolf is willing to sacrifice his life just to make his mate safe."
Florina didn't speak anymore, she was confused about what she should do. She said goodbye to Matilda and the old woman let her go.
While walking, Florina's mind was full of what Matilda told her last night. Their souls are already connected, if she continues in running away, their souls may not be able to handle the distance they have. In the end, what she did to stay away would be a waste if she and the man with the red eyes may died at the end.
Why doesn't she hear what Matilda told her in the stories? All Florina knew was the reason why the moon goddess punished the Primordial Werewolves and why they here right now in the human world. Out of the many people in the world, why was she chosen to be the mate of a Primordial Werewolf? Is it related to her dead parents?
Florina lost her thoughts when she heard a rustling sound. Florina didn't pay attention to that sounds but it seemed to be getting closer and closer to where she was, she stopped walking and Florina felt her surroundings.
Until she saw a large shadow, Florina didn't know what to do. Will she scream or run? She is scared.
She takes a small amount of steos until she was able to run. Florina just kept running and when she turned her back she screamed when she saw that a rogue was chasing her.
She just kept on running, but she didn't see the stone in the way. She stepped on it and Florina rolled on the ground, Florina can't take the pain in her knee. She screamed as the rogue suddenly jumped on top of her. Florina's whole body was shaking as she looked at the rogue on top of her. It is black but its body fur is almost gone and Florina can also see how the rouge drools. She closes her eyes, and she doesn't want to look at the appearance of the rogue, the only thing that Florina knows about the rogue is they are cursed werewolves but some of them are rejected werewolves.
"I'm hungry," Florina's hair stood up when the rogue's breath hit her ear.
Florina did not know what to do, even if she asked for help no one would hear her. She had walked so far, she was sure that Matilda would not hear her.
"Please, let me go. I'm not food," she pleaded with the rogue on top of her.
"I can't, I want you. I heard that human meat is better than other meat and I want to know if what they say is true," the rogue said.
Florina tries to break free but the rogue is strong. "Let me go please," Florina's tears suddenly began to flow, probably because of the fear she felt right now.
She closed her eyes when she saw the rogue was going to bite her. "Please hear me, moon goddess, I don't want to die in this way," she wish hoping the moon goddess would listen.
She suddenly opened her eyes when she felt big footsteps coming towards where she was. She screamed as the rogue on top of her suddenly jumped into the distance. Her eyes saw the sudden arrival of three werewolves, the two immediately ran towards the location of the rogue and attacked it but Florina did not see how the two werewolves killed the rogue who attacked her. A large werewolf blocked her, she was about to look at the werewolf when it whispered to her.
"Just close your eyes. I'm already here my queen, I will make you safe," she heard the werewolf voice. That voice made her calm, and because of that voice the fear she felt disappeared. She obeyed what the werewolf said and closed her eyes again. After a few minutes, she heard the werewolf speak again.
"You are now safe, my queen. You may open your eyes." When she heard that voice again, Florina opened her eyes and the rogue immediately appeared before her with his head separated from his body.
Florina was surprised, she looked at the werewolf next to her. It was a white werewolf with a shade of gold in the head part of the werewolf, she couldn't take her eyes off it and Florina was amazed at the beauty of the werewolf in front of her now.
Their eyes met, just now she noticed that the werewolf who killed the rogue who wanted to kill her was also looking at her now. The big werewolf has red eyes, when their eyes met. Florina gradually felt the weakness of her knees. Even if she didn't tell her, she knew who is the werewolf that in front of her right now because the only person that could make her feel this way is the man she is trying to run from, the guy with red eyes.
Florina remembered again what Matilda had told her earlier before she left. "You need to trust him. He already knows you are his mate, a werewolf is willing to sacrifice his life just to make his mate safe."
Should she believe what Matilda said to her earlier? Should she trust the werewolf in front of her now?
