Third person's POV
"Scarlett its just me relax. Deep breaths. Come on." He couched as he slouched down next to the scared little girl.
He continued on with his couching and gentle rubs on her back till the tiny girl finally calmed down and tears welled in her eyes as the fell down her cheeks while she looked up at him. At this instant she looked pitiful the guy thought. She was so different from the stray cat she was a while ago throwing words at him. He didn’t like it and he just wiped of her tears as he looked at her apologetically.
"I'm sorry tiny I didn't mean to scare you like that. And I thought you recognized me earlier on. It seemed I was thinking ahead of myself. Sorry." The guy let out his voice laced with sincerity. The tiny girl just hiccupped before wiping her cheeks again and nodded at him before trying to get up which the guy gladly helped and he led them to where she was sited earlier on. After which he offered her his water bottle.
"I'm okay thanks." Scarlett answered refusing the bottle being handed to her.
"I'm really sorry." The guy said once again. And a silence wafted around them.

"Its okay. I'm feeling much better now, thanks, I think I'll head up to the dormitories now." Scarlett let out after a while of herself trying to compose herself and have her speech back. The guy who was standing before her nodded his head before he looked away and stared at a far of distance.
"I'd like to catch up latter on if its okay with you." The guy said in a low tone before he looked back at the girl in front of him. Scarlett raised her eyes to look at him, like really look assessing him trying to remember who he was but she could think of anyone until she heard his next statement.
"Maybe you could bring Kathy along." The guy said. No way Scarlett thought before her eyes ascended towards his frame once more and now that he was looking at her she could see it, those blue eyes. They had become familiar sometime back. How could she forget them, they resembled Katherine's in a way and only one person had that close resemblance. And that nickname, who else would call her 'Tiny' if not...
"Trevor " She called and a tiny smile spread on his lips as he gave a short nod.
"Thought you'd never realize it." He said teasingly and Scarlett was on her feet wearing a shocked expression that was yet to wear of and that worried Trevor for a bit.
"Tiny," He called giving her a little shake and all too sudden the tiny body clashed to his and just as he was about to weave his arms around her he felt the fists flying against his chest as they pounded. He went to stop her but her sobbing voice stopped him.
"You bastard, you've been gone forever. Forever Trevor. Why didn’t you come back. You should have come back maybe you'd have been able to stop her from leaving too." Scarlett sobbed onto his shirt as her hits slowed down and eventually they stopped and only sniffles were left. They stayed like that for a while until Trevor broke the silence.
"Who left." He asked wondering what his role was in whatever she was saying.
"Kathy, she's no longer around. She left three years ago." Scarlett said and she could feel that sour taste filling her mouth again and she suddenly felt exhausted. She didn’t want to pursue this conversation any further right now.
"I'm going to go get changed and we can catch up latter." She suggested not wanting to go down that memory lane right now. She new Trevor would dig in to find out exactly what happened. While Alex let her give the snippets that she only wanted to share Trevor wouldn't he'd want, no need every single detail and she didn’t want going down there for the moment. They had just reunited. Was this qualified as a reunion?
"Yeah sure." Trevor mumble telling from her face that things were serious. It had been years but he could still see it all clearly. He handed her a piece of paper with his number scribbled on it before taking her back to her dormitories all the way both were quiet trying to digest whatever they had found out.
Trevor reminded her to call him when she had time before leaving. Scarlett looked at his retreating form before sighing in tiredness. She dragged herself to her room and could have done a happy dance were it not for the fact that she felt drained. Her roommate wasn't around bliss, pure bliss she thought before she slumped herself on the bed. She took out her phone before dialing a familiar number and just as expected it went straight to voicemail. She pushed her phone away from her ear before hanging up and tossing the phone away and closed her eyes letting the sleep take her.

Alex rolled onto his side as he wondered what he'd do next. Going to the police station hadn't worked, no evidence no case. And this one in particular the victim wasn't around nor was it reported so the police thought he was another messed up in the head or an addict fellow out here just causing a ruse.
He had even begged them but the had told him to go play somewhere else and that they were busy with actual cases that had victims and evidence. He had walked out there feeling dejected like how was he supposed to just remain scot free unpunished.
He wanted to be punished for his crimes, Alex thought while rubbing his palms together. Why couldn't the just believe him, why, wasn't his confession enough. Maybe it was his homeless look that made them doubt him he thought. But just as soon he shook his head remembering the other time he had gone he was in his normal day to day self. Five times, he had gone five tines and they still turned him down. He wasn't about to let them about so easily. He'd still go till they got tired and finally arraigned him. He thought looking around himself. So far that was the plan unless he found her but she didn’t want to be found he thought before letting out a sigh and closing his eyes. Hopefully it'd be soon. He thought.

Meanwhile a lady dressed in a white coat that covered what she wore inside walked in with her stethoscopes hanging around her neck.
"You're still here?" She questioned.
"I'm about to leave." The young lady tiding the desk said before turning to face the lady who just walked in.
"Good, you need to take those little bundles home." The lady in coat said a smile plastering across her face. As she took off her coat and hung it behind her chair before also placing the stethoscope on her desk.
"Yes Doctor, I'll be on my way now."
"Stop mocking me Katherine." She chuckled and so did the other lady.
"Sorry Rose. I'll go ahead now." Katherine giggled while walking out the door.
"I'll help you with them, as should a good God mother." Rose said a smile plastering along her lips and Katherine mirrored the same. As she picked up her small bag pack and followed after Katherine.
"As should. I could use the help, Carly is quite a handful that one. But at least her brother is the opposite." Katherine said as a sigh left her lips.
"Yeah from birth we both new Carly would be a handful while Charlie would be a quiet baby" Rose said as they walked in the little day Care.
In the hospital where hospital workers left their babies and it was convenient since the workers would be able to check up on their babies from time to time. Katherine walked towards the two babies sat by the board on the left side, both babies spotted her hair color but while Charlie had blue eyes, her daughter had gotten his eyes, the grey eyes. The eyes... No she couldn't go there.
She smiled at the two babies and they both smiled at her as soft giggles bubbled from them as they dawdled towards their mothers open arms. She smiled down at them as she brought them into a hug. A tear slid down her face as she smiled brightly thinking of how she had gotten a blessing in this two.
"My saving gifts." She whispered remembering the minute she had heard their tiny cries in that room, almost giving up but with Roses constant praises and pushes she got through it and now looking at the result. It didn’t matter how they came to be but they were hers. Hers to cherish, hers to love and hers to raise to beautiful people. It didn’t matter that her daughter had his eyes. Yes looking at those eyes took her back to a dark place but it didn’t matter. All that mattered was that she loved them. She thought. And that would be enough.
She rose with the two babies each on her earn as Rose packed up their toys before handing Katherine one of the bags and she took Charlie from her arms helping her out with one of them before walking out of the room towards the hallway heading for the elevator before descending to the lobby and head out.
Only that her love would never be enough at least not for her daughter.
