Phadra's POV

I had asked my best friend and beta Aurora to draft me a letter to send back to Alpha Cree, this was turning into a real cluster f**k and if he wasn't handled I'd have to kill him in combat for my lands and people. I didnt want that but him pushing this issue of me being his mate was becoming too much for me. I'd met him before and felt nothing, no sparks or smell attracted me to him. He wasn't my fated mate and moon goddess had said she basically hand picked my mate for me. My light in this ever present darkness, I really can't wait to meet him.......or her.

" ok, dear Luke leave my friend the hell alone, she doesn't want you, she doesn't love you. The end" Aurora was taking the piss and I side eyed her with a slight red tinge to my eyes and growled softly. "sorry Alpha" she said as she dropped her eyes downward, I didnt mean to get so miffed but she was annoying me and not taking this serious. "Why won't he just leave well enough alone he's got a luna already what's he going to do if I said yes....kill her?!"

Aurora finished the letter and passed it to me for approval, she accepted his invitation to visit his estate but the answer to his proposal was a blatant no. We would spend the weekend hashing out trade agreements

and hopefully work out a good ally treaty between our packs should we ever call on them for aid. Hopefully he was open to talks and stop all this be his mate rubbish. I rolled my eyes at the thought, he was old enough to be my damn father...ugh. I didn't want to fight with him but if he pushed this marriage agenda I'd have no choice but to end him.

I planned for the trip my usual way, I let Aurora and about 2 more trusted pack members go on ahead in the cars and I made my way to the pack house through the woods surrounding the estate. I always like to see the property and get to know the surrounding area before I go to the meetings. Plus I'm more at home in the forest I love the smell of the trees, grass and if there was a body of water I adored dipping my feet in it, "you'd think I was a fairy" I thought with a small giggle. I called for the young lady who cleans my quarters and takes care of my laundry and such to come help me pack a few things " yes Alpha, of course" she said as she got out my luggage and started placing some clothes in them " Zoe was a lovely girl, she came to us half naked and beaten very badly, some members of my pack had found her on our borders shivering and begging for help. Her pack had cast her out after beating her damn near death. That was the deal she could leave freely and get away from years of abuse by the pack warriors if she survived the beating. She sure showed them, she survived and she dragged herself across acres and acres of forest to make it to us. I for one and happy she survived that trial, she has since grown into a beautiful young woman, she met her wolf and found her mate in our pack. She's happier than ever and working for me she now has a nice little nest egg to live on should she decide to move on from here with her love. I'm glad we could help her. " All packed and ready to go Alpha Phadra, have a good trip and return safely" Zoe said " oh honey I doubt anything about this trip will be pleasant " I half laughed. " But I will try to find enjoyment where I can, thank you" I hugged her and asked her to say hi to her mate for me. She sighed and looked at me all weird before she flew back into the room and damn near knocked me over with a hug " I've never seen or heard of an Alpha like you, kind and gracious. You treat us fairly, allow us to work for wages and live freely, no abuse and no rankings except for Alpha and Beta" she gushed " you're a miracle and I for 1 thank moon goddess for allowing me to meet you, you saved my life" we're both in happy tears by the time Aurora's goofy ass comes into the room asking if we need a minute with a smirk on her face. We both rolled our eyes at her and dragged her into the hug. I asked Aurora to set off on the trip to Secret Moon and wait for me I'll follow on my bike, I loved the freedom of riding my motorcycle, the wind flowing through my hair and just feeling like I'm flying . I rode with my entourage almost to the pack lands then I cut through the forest to meet back up with them later. Aurora would inform them so they wouldn't try to kill me thinking I'm a rogue trying to get onto their territory.

I must admit Secret Moon territory was gorgeous, wide open spaces, fields of wild flowers and so many trees. The air smelled sweet and on my way thru I heard water flowing, I was very happy to get a chance to wet my feet and headed right for it. Upon arrival I hopped off my bike while simultaneously trying to get my boots off, I rounded a group of large redwoods and came out to a small pond with clear water and Ember was losing her s**t and yapping about something. I dropped my boots rolled my pants legs up and was about to step into the water when I saw a guy floating in the water. I sighed and hoped he wasn't dead, he wasn't moving " oh lord let him be asleep" I prayed. Cree would probably try to frame me for his murder and try to take over my lands and pack if he was dead. "Hey, sir......siiiiir.....are you ok?!" I shouted " sir....please be ok, please be ok, please be ok" I muttered as I made my way into the water to check him out. As I stride into the water this absolutely DELICIOUS scent hit me, like hit me so hard I staggered backwards and stopped wading in the water to try to figure out where it was coming from. With my nose in the air I looked around trying to figure out where that delectable smell was coming from. It smelled like hot cocoa and the forest, my 2 favorite smells in this world. Ember was shouting at me now " I've been trying to tell you but you let the pond sway you......MATE is here" she howled in my head " I'll get on that as soon as I make sure this guy isn't in danger Ember I promise, I've wanted to find out mate forever. A few more mins won't hurt us" Ember sniffed and growled " speak for your damned self Phadra, I want our mate NOW"

I strode with a quicker step now knowing our mate was close by, fighting my way to the man though the smell of cocoa and the forest was literally calling me. That is till I dead stop and realize the smell was coming from the guy floating in the water. I realized he was indeed asleep and he was beautiful, aaaaaaannnnd very very naked.

His face was chiseled and he was handsome, I found myself wondering what color his eyes were, moon goddess said she made him specifically for me, maybe they were grey which is my fav color. He was muscular, he must be a warrior in his pack, he looks like he works out a lot. He's also well endowed, I blushed and looked away from his manhood to his face. " I'll poke him see if he wakes up" I thought and reached out my hand with 1 finger extended to poke him, I almost lost my mind when a soft voice with a timber to it said " I've been waiting for you for almost 4 years, my wolf and I couldn't wait to meet you.....mate"

I jumped and drew my finger back as thee most beautiful pair of green eyes snapped open to peer up at me, " I'm sorry I didnt want to startle you so I just stayed how I was, I smelled you when your bike stopped and I thought fate was messing with my mind" he dropped his legs and stood in front of me, about a foot and a half taller than me so I had to look up at him. " moon goddess did not disappoint, you are a sight to behold. What's your name amore, I'm Silvan"

He held his hand out in introduction and as I grasped his hand to return the favor a sensation likened to being shocked by a small jolt of electricity hit us both and we let go fast. It was exhilarating and I wanted to feel it again, I put my hand back out and touched his arm and the jolt hit me again, I closed my eyes and opened them again and said " I'm Phadra".
