Crazy is Perfect

Chapter 15

We hopped out of the car or limo, whatever you like to call it. I was the only one who didn't get to hop out of the car because Jace picked me in like a princess. I laugh and try to get out of his hold. He smiles, "You're not leaving me that fast."

Once we got in he put me down. Music was blasting and then I heard it. The song I can't get out of my head.

'Say You Won't Let Go' by James Arthur.

"Come on! Let's dance!" I drag Jace onto the dance floor. He pulled me closer and I could tell he was scared to let go.

From that point on, we danced for hours until we couldn't dance anymore. Jace pulls me aside. "Do you need to sit down?" I nod and he picks me up again. He walks us to my chair and set me down. "I'm going to get something to drink and eat."

Taylor looks over at me and smiles. Hey, Kat!

Sup, Tay-Tay!

Zander is amazing! We really misjudged him but seriously he is so nice. My gosh. You have no idea!

I am glad you like him so much.

Me too! How's it going with prince charming?

He is getting us food and drinks.

"Are you so sure about that?" Justin walks up behind me and drags me outside. "What, where are you taking me?" He holds up one finger to my lip and that was enough to shut me up. He continues to drag me until we stop in front of two people making out.

"Jace?" I said hoping it wasn't him.

It is.

My eyes slowly filling with tears as a watch this girl kiss my best friend. The girl pulls away from him and looks at me. "Kat, long time, no see. I just was saying hi to J. I'm done with him now. Bye!" She bounces away and I turn to Jace. She just had to kiss him, didn't she? The girl that hates my guts had to kiss the guy I care for the most. Melody Skyler just had to do it.

Anger fuels my body until I look back at Jace who is frozen. "Jace? Are you ok? Justin, she put him in shock. What should I do?" Justin grabs me. He looks me straight in the eyes. "Kiss him." I look questioning him. He grab my hands and pulls them closer to him. "If you want me to help you out listen to me and kiss him."

I nod and walk to Jace. "Sorry if this doesn't help." I lean in and kiss him gently on the lips. After two seconds, I pull away and start to turn around. "It didn't work. I don't know-" I pause as I feel Jace's wraps his arms around me. I turn around to face him and his lips crash into mine.

I let go of the world surrounding me after that. Our bodies move in time with each other. We stayed like that for a while. I think Justin must of got someone because after twenty minutes we were being pulled apart.

"What the heck do you think you're doing?" Taylor asks. I look around to see Sarah and Zander also here. I blush and look at Jace, who is also blushing. "Um, I was, um, you see, this was. Fine, Justin told me to kiss him and I did. I just got lost in the kiss when he kissed me back."

Jace looks at me and blushes harder. "I was in shock and she saved me. I had to kiss her back. That is what you do when you like someone." I walk over to him and hugged him.

"I like you too." I hug him tightly and he does too.

"I love you, Katelin Lilith Jakes."

Oh my gosh! He loves me! What the heck? How long has he felt this way? What should I do? I like him too or maybe I love him. Do I love him? How do I tell him that I love him if I do? Oh my gosh, I can't believe this is happening!

Calm down! We all know you like him. It's no secret.

For you but for other it might be.

"I knew it!" Sarah burst in. "You two are the cutest couple!" Taylor follows behind her. Nodding her head.

After the dance, we all head back to my house. I pulled Jace upstairs to my room and shut the door behind us. "So, are we going to talk about what just happened at the dance?"

"What is there to talk about? The only thing that happened was I finally got to do what I want to do for five years. I got to kiss you again and I swear I never been happier." He says. I watch him walk over to a chair by my desk. He sits down and I sit down on my bed.

"Wait, you been waiting to kiss me for five years. After he- really? Do you really feel that way about me?" I question him. He walks over to me and kneels in front of my bed as he talks my hands.

"What I said was true, Katelin. I do love you."

My voice got stuck in my throat. I want to reply to him but the only thing that came over was a whisper. "I-i love you too."

"What?" He asks me.

I close my eyes and take a deep breathe. "I love you too Jackson Scott Micheals." I open my eyes as he lets go of my hand. "Jace?" I crawl to the foot of the bed and find laying on the ground. He opens his eyes and pounces on top of me.

"Do you really mean it?" I nod and he kisses me. It doesn't take long for my to respond and for me to loose myself in the kiss. Before we know it, it's and hour later and I pull away from him.

"Wow, I would love to continue this but we got people waiting downstairs and I need to get changed into to something more comfortable. You should go to your house and do the same."

I open the window and watch him climb out. Once he was on the ground he yells up to me. "Hey princess, please unlock the door for me." I laugh and close the window. After it was closed and locked I quickly put on a pair of pjs and run downstairs.

"Where is that lover boy?" Sarah smirks.

"He is at his house. He'll be here in like five minutes." I said looking at my watch. This watch is a brand new one that Jace bought me after the dance. He took me shopping and got me food and clothes. I walk over and unlock the door before going back to sit with the rest.

"Anyways, I can't believe it is the last day of school already!" Sarah squeals. For us it is the last day of high school and then we'll be off to college. For me and Jace it's the day we see who won the game.

"I can maybe bring Taylor and Justin as a guest. Maybe even Zander for Taylor." I wiggle my eyebrows in Taylor's direction. They are officially a couple now.

We talked for a little bit about the subject of relationships before Jace walked in. "You know who is the cutest couple in the group?"

"We are." He says. Jace gives me a small kiss and everyone else aw's. I look at them blushing before turning to Jace.

"Today is the day! I bet you will win cause I fell behind these last couple of weeks." I smile and he smiles back.

"Come on, Kat! We shall go!" He picks me up. I laugh, "Not again!"

"Yes, again. As long as you're my princess." He said with a smirk and carries me away. I laugh slightly. "I'm not your princess!"

"Not yet!" He replies. That didn't stop him from carrying me to the car and into the school.
