Crazy is Perfect

Chapter 17

Our first semester when by way too fast. I already have so many great memories here. I didn't go home for chirstmas but I did get to go to disney world which is only an hour way from here. It was amazing but now Christmas break has to an end. Now it is monday after Christmas break. We all are ready for the first class but we have to go to class assembly.

We pull up to the school and before I could open the door. Jace did it for me. I look at him weirdly. "Are you ok?" He nods and picks me up again. He's been acting weird ever since New Years Eve when we kissed. I really hope everything is alright.

Oh, don't worry.

Yeah, everything is going to be ok.

Better than ok.

Taylor look at his pocket and then looks at me. She smiles and shows Sarah. I don't know what they are getting so worked up about or why Justin and Taylor said that last thing together. Sarah squeals. "Oh my gosh!" Jace keeps moving and block them out. Soon everyone is smiling and looking extremely happy.

"What is going on guys?" I finally spoke up. Taylor and Sarah look at each other. Taylor looks back at me. "Oh, it's nothing. Just a surprise."

"Ok, now I'm worried." I said rolling my eyes before resting my head on Jace's chest.

Whatever it is better be worth the wait.

"Jace, can you put me down now?" He smiles as he takes one last step into the school. "Fine but hold my hand then." He puts me down but take hold my hand and kisses it.

"Let's go check to see who won!" He starts dashing down the halls pulling me with him. He takes a sit in the front row and I sit down with him. Sarah pulls Justin over to us and sits down but then moved.

They sat down in the row behind us instead.

A little while later, Taylor and Zander joins them. When they got in the principal got on the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, today is the last day of the semester year for these students but the first step into the world. I would like to acknowledge the students of our school who went aboce and beyond for their high school year. First we have Jace Michaels with a higher than perfect grade point average. He's here today with a 5.0 grade point average. Everyone please welcome Jace Michaels the stage."

Jace gets up and smiles at me as we leaves. Once he got up on the stage he shakes hand with the principal.

"I would also like Katelin Jakes and Sarah Mackenzie to come up to the stage. They are both tied in second place behind Jace with a 4.1 grade point average." I get up and Sarah grabs my hand.

"You go ahead of me." I walk off and she smiles. Following behind me. I step up on stage, shake hand with the principal. Sarah did too shortly after me. The principal holds out the microphone to Jace and he takes it.

"I wouldn't be here if it weren't for Katelin. I met her in kindergarten and in third grade she found out I was failing my classes. She pulled me aside and created a game through it. This game was a race to get better grades than the other. The winner gets to make the loser do whatever they want. I won but my prize I don't want to force. I want her honest answer."

He takes the mic in one hand and turns to me. He falls on one knee and pulls out a small box from his pocket. My jaw drops to the floor as he opens the box.

In the box was a beautiful blue diamond ring.

He holds the open box and pulls the microphone closer to his mouth. "I saved all the money I had to get this ring. I knew after years and years of being with you than you are the one. I never loved anyone more than you. Katelin Lilith Jakes, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"

Tears start to form in my eyes. I look at Sarah, who is holding a mic for me. I take it, "Yes, I will marry you Jackson Andrew Michaels."

I gave the microphone back to Sarah and Jace puts his down. We gave each other a hug. He and I pulled away at the same time to only come back together for a kiss. After the crowds aw's die down, we pull apart again.

He slips the ring on my finger. It fits perfectly. "It's a perfect fit for the perfect woman." He whispers to me.

I smile at him and knew this is the end but the beginning of a new story.

I picked up the mic from the ground and turned to the crowd.

"Through the craziness of this whole year everything turned out perfect. Since this day I thought that crazy was bad. I would say it was evil but know I know. Crazy is what make this world interesting. Without this world, we have nothing but with it. This world is perfect."

I pause and closing my eyes. I turn to Jace opening them again.

"I learned that we don't need to be normal to be perfect but ourself. Craziness is what makes everything worth something because crazy is perfect."
