On Tuesday, school reopened, and I was already tired of it. I really love my little sister she's always there for me she woke me up, and we got ready, but our transport was late. At school, everyone was excited to see each other after the break. The principal called a meeting for all matriculants, where he encouraged us to make the most of our final term and wished us well for our exams.
After the meeting, I met up with Asiphe, and we decided to visit Lungi's memorial at the park after school. Not forgetting that our little secret still makes this awkward when we are together i don't like the way things ended. After school we walked there, said our prayers, she accompanied me home. Later, she called to check on me, and we chatted briefly.
The next day, I woke up feeling a bit more energized, and Ezo and I headed to school again. Our transport was still giving us trouble, but we made it to our classes on time. During recess, I met up with Siphesihle, and we sat together under the shade, chatting about our plans for the term. She shared her dreams of becoming a doctor, and I told her about my passion for writing. She promised to help me with my studies.
After school, Asiphe and I headed to the library to work on our projects. We spent hours researching and taking notes, and later, we grabbed some snacks from the nearby café. As we walked home, Asiphe asked me about my relationship with Siphesihle, and I confided in her about my feelings. She listened attentively and offered some advice, reminding me to take things slow and focus on my studies.
When I got home, Ezo was already there, and we spent the evening watching a movie together our parents are always coming home late these days we don't even get a chance to bond together as family. Later Siphesihle called me, and we talked for a bit before saying goodnight. I went to bed feeling grateful for my friends and the support they had been giving me during this difficult time.
Siphesihle called me again at 10 pm, and I knew exactly what she had in mind. "Hey, want to go for a walk?" she whispered, her voice barely audible over the phone. I nodded, even though she couldn't see me, and we made plans to meet at the park.
We walked hand in hand, the night air filling our lungs as we strolled through the quiet streets. Our parents were asleep, and the world felt like it was ours alone. We talked about our dreams, our fears, and our hopes for the future. The stars shone above us, and I felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be.
As we walked, Siphesihle turned to me and smiled. "I'm so glad we have each other," she said, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight. I smiled back, feeling my heart fill with love and gratitude. "Me too," I replied, squeezing her hand gently. "Me too."
As the night wore on, we reluctantly decided it was time to head back to our respective homes. We hugged each other tight, savoring the moment, and promised to meet again soon.
As we walked away from each other, I felt a sense of longing, but also a deep connection that I knew would only continue to grow. I smiled to myself, feeling grateful for this late-night walk and the memories we had created.
When I got home, I slipped into bed, my heart still racing from our encounter. I couldn't wait to see Siphesihle again, to hold her hand and talk about our dreams. I drifted off to sleep, my mind filled with thoughts of her and the future we would build together.
On the following day it's Sunday morning i ended up telling the truth to my parents I can't keep this as secret anymore my father shout shouting at me because am in love with another girl. "Hlaluminathi, you're disappointing me!" my father's voice boomed through the house. "How could you do this to our family? Bringing a woman into our home, it's unacceptable!" I stood firm, despite my father's anger. "Father, I love Siphesihle, and she makes me happy. I won't hide our relationship anymore." My father's face turned red with rage.
"You'll ruin our family's reputation! What will people think?" I took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eye. "I don't care what others think, Father. I care about my happiness and Siphesihle's. We deserve to be together, openly and without fear of judgment." My father's expression turned cold, and he pointed a finger at me. "You're no longer welcome in this house if you continue this...this...lifestyle." I felt a lump form in my throat, but I stood my ground. "I'll leave, Father. But know that I'm not ashamed of who I am, and I won't hide my love for Siphesihle."
Mom and Ezo stand there without saying anything i know my mom she will never judge me i run to her crying . " My baby don't cry you know your father he's always judgement in everything he will come up just give him some time." Mom said trying to comfort me. The next morning, I went to school without talking to my dad, still hurt from our argument. At school, we had an assembly praying for a good term, and our maths teacher announced that our final exams would start on Monday, which was sooner than expected.
After school, I waited with Ezo for our transport, Siphesihle and Asiphe joined us. Siphesihle and I shared a romantic moment, Ezo called us over to the transport.Meanwhile, Thandoh was walking home and met Khaya, who was lost. She accompanied him to his destination, and they had a pleasant conversation.
NARRATED BY THANDOH the next day was their graduation ceremony, and she attended with her mom. Qhawe was there with her mom, and we were both proud to receive our certificates. Khaya accompanied me to the stage, and Qhawe gave a heartfelt speech, thanking her mom and Thandoh for their support.
It's great to see Thandoh's kind and helpful nature shine through as she assists Khaya, a lost stranger, and then bumps into Qhawe, her friend, on her way to the taxi. The graduation ceremony is a heartwarming moment, with Thandoh receiving a certificate for being the best learner and Qhawe achieving an impressive 90% in business management. Qhawe's speech is a beautiful tribute to her mom and Thandoh, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support.
