After school, Siphesihle went to my place and foun me sleeping on the couch. I woke up, and she asked what was wrong. I broke down in tears, revealing that my friend Lungi had passed away in a car accident the day before. Siphesihle offered words of comfort and support, telling me to be strong for those who love me. I shared with her a painful memory - the loss of my grandmother in a car accident, which I blamed myself for because she was going to look for me that time i remember it well it was New year cars hit her trying to cross the road. Siphesihle listened attentively, promising not to tell anyone. Later, I accompanied Siphesihle home and returned to mine, where my parents already knew about Lungi's passing. At supper, my mom asked if I was coping, but I brushed it off. Before bed, I checked my phone and saw a message from Thandoh, urging us to be strong for our families and loved ones, as Lungi was now our precious angel guiding us from heaven. The next morning, I woke up with mixed emotions - sadness and happiness. I was nervous about receiving my term 3 report, but when I opened it, I was thrilled to see that I had passed with flying colors! I quickly made a live video with Siphesihle, holding our reports and kissing, and posted it on social media. As soon as I posted the video, my phone started buzzing with congratulations messages from friends and family. Siphesihle and I were over the moon with excitement, and our happiness temporarily overshadowed the sorrow we were feeling. Just then, Asiphe called me, and we discussed our plans for the weekend. We decided to visit Lungi's family to pay our respects and offer support during this difficult time. On Saturday, Siphesihle and I accompanied Asiphe to Lungi's home, where we found her family gathering, sharing stories and memories of her life. We hugged her mom and siblings, offering our condolences, and shared our own favorite memories of Lungi. As we sat there, listening to the eulogies, I felt a sense of closure and acceptance. I realized that life is precious, and we must cherish every moment with our loved ones. After the visit, Siphesihle and I walked hand in hand, reflecting on the past few days. We talked about our hopes and dreams, and how we wanted to make the most of our time together. As we approached my house, I turned to Siphesihle and said, "You know, I'm grateful for your support and love during this difficult time. You've been my rock, and I don't know what I would do without you."Siphesihle smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I'll always be here for you, Hlalu. We're in this together, forever and always." FAST FORWARD the day of funeral finally arrived and I'm i still can't believe i will never see Lungi again, i will never forget her in my life she's the only person who introduced me to this place and friends that will last lifetime. I was exhausted, but Ezo woke me up i quickly got ready. Siphesihle was already at the door to fetch me. We headed to Lungi's place for her funeral. When the casket arrived, I broke down, and Siphesihle comforted me. Thandoh read an obituary, and we all shared our final words. _Qhawe_: "Greetings, everyone. I'm speechless about what's happened. Lungi was a kind and respectful person. I remember when we were young, we used to play hide and seek. She took her time to find me, but when it's my turn, I'd find her easily. Now, she's gone forever, I'll never see her again. No more games, no more foolishness. You will forever be in our hearts and minds. Rest in internal peace." _Hlaluminathi_: "I don't have much to say, but I'll never forget the day I met you. That was a special day in my life. I met a best friend, cousin, and sister from another mother all in one person - you. You're gone forever, but the memories we made together will never fade. With those words, I'd like to say, Lungi, nkanyezi yam ephila emazulwini (Lungi, star of our lives), be with us every step of the way, stay in our hearts until we meet again. I love you." After the funeral, a few weeks passed. We celebrated Lungi's last memories at the park were our friendship began, leaving white stones with our initials as a loving memory of our beloved Angel. We were only left with two days before school reopened, we decided to make the most of our time together. We reached my place, and I invited everyone in. We spent the day lounging by the pool, sharing stories and laughter, trying to distract ourselves from the pain of Lungi's loss. As the sun began to set, we gathered around the fire pit, and Qhawe pulled out her guitar. She strummed a soft melody, and we all sang along, our voices blending in harmony. The music was a balm to our souls, soothing the ache of our grief. As we sang, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. I knew that Lungi was gone, but in that moment, I felt her presence, her spirit still with us, guiding us through the darss.
