Around 3pm i meet up with Asiphe at her place she was home alone , we chatted for a long time till we come to a point that this secret relationship must come to an end. " I really enjoyed what we did for the past few years those kisses, outings and many other things i will miss this relationship but it must end because it's going to affect our friendship, just keep this in mind i will never stop loving you no matter what", I said holding her hand. She replied " i also wont forget things we did together our childhood memories will never fade i will always be there for you every situation for now let's pretend as if nothing happened, let's go the girls are waiting for us at the park ".
We handed to the park holding hands they were already panicking wondering where we are but we finally arrived. We sat on a bench, and Asiphe and Thandoh went to get ice cream. We had a great time, like old times. I suggested we celebrate Asiphe's upcoming birthday at a hotel, but Thandoh suggested her place to save money. Qhawe asked if I would bring Siphesihle to the party, and I agreed.
After playing on the swings and slides, Thandoh pranked us with a fake snake, making us all scream! We laughed and joked, enjoying each other's company. At Nobantu's fishery, Qhawe bought us all hot chips, and we savored the delicious snack.
As I rushed home, my friends accompanied me, singing "Amagwijo." I was grateful for their friendship and support. When I arrived, Ezo had already cooked dinner, and we ate together before bed. She mentioned that Siphesihle had come by earlier, looking for me, and I felt a bit worried.
As I went through my phone, I saw many unread messages from Siphesihle, I replied, inviting her to Asiphe's birthday party, and she agreed to come.
The next day, I was excited to see Siphesihle at Asiphe's birthday party. When she arrived, we exchanged a warm hug, and I introduced her to my friends. They welcomed her with open arms, and we all danced and celebrated together.
Asiphe pulled me aside and whispered, "I'm so happy to see you and Siphesihle together. You two are meant to be!"I blushed, feeling grateful for my friends' acceptance.
As the party wound down, Siphesihle and I found a quiet spot to talk. "I'm so sorry again for not late reply earlier on i was very busy," i said, looking into her eyes. "I promise to be more mindful of your boundaries and your family's feelings, " She said hugging me very tight.
I smiled, feeling a deep connection with her. "I know, Sphe. I appreciate your understanding and patience. Let's just enjoy each other's company and take things one step at a time."She nodded, and we shared a tender kiss under the stars.
"As we walked back to the party, hand in hand, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. I knew that Siphesihle and I were meant to be together, and that our love was strong enough to overcome any obstacle.
We rejoined our friends, who were still dancing and laughing, and we all celebrated Asiphe's birthday together. As the night wore on, Siphesihle and I found ourselves lost in conversation, our connection growing stronger with every passing minute.
And as the party finally came to a close, Siphesihle turned to me and said, 'I'm so grateful for today, Hlaluminathi. I feel like I've finally found my place among your friends and family.' I smiled, feeling my heart full of love and joy. 'You'll always have a place with me, Sphe,' I said, pulling her close. And as we hugged, I knew that our love would continue to grow and flourish, no matter what the future held."
On Saturday morning, I woke up early to clean the house before my parents go on their trip they will come back Monday. Ezo and I worked together to get everything in order. Afterward, we went to the mall to buy some lunch for them, so that they can have something on their way. At the shop we ran into Siphesihle and her family. Ezo teased me about being "dangerous" since even Siphesihle's family knows me. I blushed and told her to stop it.
On our way back home, we saw a crowd gathered due to an accident. To our horror, we discovered that our friend Lungi had been hit by a car and passed away. We were all in shock, crying, and struggling to come to terms with the loss. I locked myself in my room, wrote in my diary, and couldn't sleep that night, reliving memories of my grandmother's passing.
The next day, I didn't go to school, and Ezo had already left. I wrote in my diary, expressing my grief and feeling of unfairness. I missed Lungi dearly and hoped she was at peace.
Meanwhile, Siphesihle was searching for me everywhere at school but couldn't find me. She was worried and even asked Ezo about my whereabouts, but Ezo didn't know either. Siphesihle sat alone at lunch, trying to call me, but my phone was on voicemail. She seemed lost and annoyed, not wanting to talk to anyone, even when the teacher asked her about me.
I lock myself in my room and cry, writing in my diary. I see my last journal entry about the day I lost my grandmother, and all the flashbacks come flooding back. I can't seem to calm down.
It's Monday morning, and I didn't go to school. I woke up late, and Ezo has already left, my parents ended up not going to the trip but they were both at work while i was all alone in that big mension .
I continue writing in my diary:
"I'm not in the mood for anything, why is this happening to me ? This is unfair we had plans together, but now everything has flashed away. I miss you already friend i hope whenever you are you're at peace. I love you Lungi life won't be the same without you, you will always be in my heart i close the book and went back to sleep."
Meanwhile, at school, Siphesihle is looking for me everywhere, but I'm nowhere to but now everything has been flashed away found. She's worried because I didn't even leave a message for her. In class, she's not focusing, and she keeps looking out the window, hoping I'll show up. She doesn't know about Lungi's death.
At lunchtime, she goes to Ezo's classroom to ask about me, but Ezo doesn't know why I didn't come to school. She saw me sleeping in and decided to leave me behind. Siphesihle sits alone on a bench, trying to call me, but it goes straight to voicemail. Asiphe is also absent from school today. Siphesihle eats alone, feeling tense and bored.
In math class, she's not paying attention, and no one notices her. The teacher asks her about me, but she just keeps quiet and looks away.Learner Esona: "Where's Hlalu? Shouldn't she be here with you?"Siphesihle: "I don't know where she is, and why are you asking me? Don't you dare."She's annoyed by everything and doesn't even want to talk to anyone.
