Pretending had become quite the norm for him, acting as if he didn't care when he certainly did. They had a good thing going, her and her man, but a part of him couldn't wait for the day he might get his chance to show her just how much he truly cared for her. "I catch your eye then look away as if it never happened.... At times I feel as though I'm caught up in a strange dream.... If eyes could talk then mines would tell ya that I'm feeling you... Sometimes I swear your eyes be telling me the Nickye thing...." . He felt her coming before he saw her, peeping through the curtain from the sliding glass back door as she made her way out to the patio where he stood. He had to get out of there, the air growing thickly uncomfortable from the suffocating pressure his heart placed on him knowing that she belonged to someone else. He took a long pull from his freshly lit blunt, deeply inhaling until the smoke filled his lungs causing the affect he wanted. His high began to kick in just as he felt a presence at his side, the brush of her soft skin coming into contact with the jacket he wore making him internally shiver.
