Valeria POV
The pain had subsided, but my body was still shaking. Feeling Tyson betray our bond made Willow howl in sorrow in my head, and I felt helpless when nothing I did could comfort her.
I didn’t know how long I had been down here, but it felt like an eternity.
Based on the amount of Wolfsbane I had been given and that I hadn’t gotten a refill yet, I figured that it was only a day or so.
A very painful day.
I looked up when I heard the door open, and I glared at the smirking Celeste standing outside the cell.
“Did you come here to gloat or something?” I muttered.
“Yes and no.” Celeste replied and opened the cell door. “But first, you’re going to need some more wolfsbane.”
My throat tightened.
“You’re not Tyson.” I growled. “There’s no way I’m just going to let you inject that in me. I don’t know what you are, but I’m stronger than you, even like this.”
“You may be stronger, but I have the advantage.” Celeste retorted. “I’m holding your entire pack hostage right now. You will do anything I tell you, or I’ll hurt them.”
I narrowed my eyes at her.
“How do I know that you won’t hurt them either way?” I asked.
“You’re right.” Celeste shrugged. “I will hurt them either way, but the question you want to ask yourself is: how much do you want them to suffer?”
I frowned.
“What do you mean?” I asked, almost feeling afraid of the answer.
“For instance…” Celeste grinned. “Tyson is under a spell called the Confession spell. Everything he does is commanded by me. I can force him to tell me his deepest darkest secrets, make him do things he would never do normally, even kill his own mate.”
Celeste chuckled and I jammed my back tighter against the wall when she crouched down in front of me.
“I’m going to make him kill you.” She whispered, the menacing tone making the hairs in the back of my neck stand on end. “And once he commands the army to attack the vampires, with great loss of life, of course, I’ll make him wake up and realize what he’s done.”
My blood ran cold while Celeste tapped her finger against her chin.
“I wonder.” She continued. “How painful would it be for him to wake up and realize that his mate is dead, by his own hand?”
I gulped.
“So if I take the wolfsbane willingly, you won’t do that?” I asked.
“You play nice, and I will make sure Tyson never feels pain again.” Celeste promised.
“And you expect me to just take your word for it?” I snarled.
“Do you have any other choice?” Celeste smirked. “Take the Wolfsbane, and there’s at least a chance that I’ll make Tyson a very happy man for the rest of his life. Refuse, and I’ll go back upstairs and have him take me again. I bet you felt that pretty good, didn’t you?”
I glared back at her without answering.
“I guess I can understand why you gave up your life to be his queen.” Celeste chuckled. “That guy really is blessed with a wonderful body.”
I couldn’t stop myself. I threw myself at Celeste, who quickly scrambled out of the way and I roared in frustration when the chains stopped me from hurting her.
“You’re not getting away with this!” I screamed. “I’ll kill you!”
Celeste let out a cold laugh.
“I’m not dying anytime soon.” She laughed. “You are.”
She took out a syringe and raised an eyebrow.
“Your choice, Valeria.” She chirped. “Are you going to take it now, or am I going to make Tyson do it?”
I balled my fists, but reluctantly held out my arm for her to push the syringe inside. The burn spread through my arm and I gritted my teeth when the wolfbane spread through my body.
Willow withdrew to the deepest corner of my mind trying to escape the Wolfsbane while Celeste got up, locked the cell door and left the dungeon.

Lizette POV
So, Valeria turned out to be a total b*tch, after all?
Why am I not surprised?
After the announcement, I quickly did the math in my head.
In order for Tyson to be able to execute his mate, he would have to sever the mate bond first.
That was basically impossible, unless you had a second mate that your soul could connect with.
I always knew that Tyson and I were meant to be together, and when Tyson said that Valeria was going to be executed, I felt hope rising inside me again.
After the crowd dispersed, I followed Tyson back to his office and saw that the woman he was with hadn’t joined him.
Maybe this was my chance?
I knocked on the office door and heard a curt “come in” from the other side.
Plastering the most seductive smile on my face, I walked inside and saw Tyson sitting by his desk.
“Hello Tyson.” I purred. “I just wanted to say how sorry I am that things didn’t work with Valeria. I always had a bit of a bad feeling around her, but I wanted you to be happy.”
While I talked, I slowly walked over to his desk and leaned my hip against it. I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled.
“I can make you very happy, Tyson.” I added. “Do you remember everything we did together? We were so happy. I can be your Luna. I can be your mate. Let me save you from this cursed mate bond.”
Tyson looked up, making me stop talking when I saw that his eyes were dark and cold. Since I was standing so close to him, I could see small streaks of black swirling in his eyes.
“Lizette Parker.” He snarled. “I King Tyson Pierce, hereby demote you from Omega to Rogue. You are no longer part of this pack.”
