Maya-Mated to the Alpha

Chapter Four- Disbelief

She walked down the road and saw the paths looked familiar. She had walked for close to a day. The sun was almost out and she had not seen a road or any house.

“Why did she decide to leave?”,she muttered. There was no way she was going to make it. She knew she could not introduce herself to anyone that she is the new Luna of the Rodrigues, people would call home immediately. She turned left and saw a post which indicated she was already in another pack home. She would feign ignorance till she can get a new place of her own. She had taken coins from Ken’s pocket. She needed it more than thinking she was a criminal.

She knocked on the door, she need water and a bed to sleep in. She was tired and it was already late in the night. The sun had gone down. Packs were growling loudly around and she knew it was a new area, a new zone.

“Hi”, a little girl whispered opening the door a little.

Of all things, she wanted an adult she could explain her situation to, not the entire truth definitely but something to keep her away till she can think.

“Uhm, Hi”, she stuttered

“Can i see your parents or an adult”, she quietly said.

“Yea, my mum is in the room but i don’t have a dad”, the little girl replied.

“I told you not to give information out Cassie”, a woman’s voice said quietly from the room

“I am Mara”, Maya started smiling at the young woman. She calculated the woman would probably be older than her with a year or two.

“How did she have a girl without a husband”,she said mentally.

“Hi Mara, the woman replied, you can come in. You look like you traveled from somewhere far”, she articulated.

She walked into the small apartment.

“You are a werewolf”, she refuted.

Maya turned to her voice.

“Aren’t you?”, Maya returned.

“I am Anastasia but you can call me Ana”, the young woman said. You can stay here till you are ready to go. I can see you are pregnant.

“No, I am not”, Maya mumbled.

I can see even a one day old fetus plus you are far gone already, two months gone“, she volunteered.

Maya protested mentally talking about how it was wrong for her to be pregnant. She couldn’t believe she was carrying an Alphas baby. She knew she would not be able to go farther than this. You can’t have a baby of the Alpha away from the home no matter the circumstances you are in. It was the day she followed. The day had brought this new life growing in her.

This was not supposed to happen, her stomach clenched as she realized she was hungry and she had not eaten anything since the afternoon of her wedding and she just munched on the cake.

“I would prepare the guest room”, Ana’s voice echoed in the small sitting room. This was different from where she was living. Living as the daughter of the heiress and her father the most important man. This was not the time to think about it.

“You can sleep here, I would warm the rice for you. Dinner has been served already so i have just leftovers,she offered.

She nodded. Even if it was last nights meal,she would take it. Her stomach growled at the smell of food as she was taking her bath.

Ken would probably be looking for her right now, regretting why they did travel to any country and using the car. She was sure he was in her father’s house explaining how she disappeared.

“God, i shouldn’t have left”, she sobbed, her tears echoing in the bathroom.

She wiped her face. She had cried too much to have excruciating headaches already.

Her stubbornness was a major factor.

She got out and saw Ana had placed a new dress on the bed. She seemed too nice, didn’t ask any questions about anything. She touched her stomach and felt the baby’s movement. She was too worried about her feelings she didn’t realize she had someone who needed her.

“Thank you”, she muttered as she got to the table.

She gobbled up everything on the plate and looked up to see Ana looking at her.

“Now is not the right time to ask questions but do you need to stay away from the father of your child?”, Ana asked with all sincerity.

She could hear the sincere voice and instantly liked her. Cassie was sleeping on the sofa and turned slightly at the sound of the noise. She slept back almost immediately.

“You don’t know me, you don’t need to say anything but you can stay like i said earlier”.
