SILVER’S POV
I was wondering if Jordyn wanted to tell me that she had my stash of powder because that was all I cared for at that point.
“I’m listening babe,” I responded.
“I will be getting married soon”
“My mum has arranged my marriage to the first son of the Smith family,” Jordyn said.
My eyebrows went wide open before my jaws opened in surprise.
“Wait, wait, wait,”
“Smith family?”
“Who in the Smith family exactly?” I asked very curiously.
“Who else? It’s Simon,” Jordyn answered.
I couldn't believe that Simon was going to get married to my friend. Did he plan to keep all these from me? Despite all the deep dark secrets that we share? When was he going to tell me?
I couldn’t let Jordyn know the true extent to which I was surprised so I tried to contain my emotions.
“The same Simon that used to bully you and call you all sorts of names when we were younger?”
“You are not accepting this, are you?” I smirked.
“Silver, I don't know, I’m not even sure what to do,” Jordyn said, sloppily as she adjusted her hair.
“Are you out of your mind?”
“Do you want to put yourself in b*****e”
“Think about how he humiliated you then and imagine what he would do now if you married him,” I warned.
“Have you forgotten?”
“He is responsible for all the trauma you had to deal with then”
“And now you think you can just marry him?” I retorted.
I was already doing a bad job of trying to control my emotions.
“What if he’s not the same person he used to be,” Jordyn said.
“You also don't know who he is now, do you?”
“We only knew him from those years”
I just stood there starstruck and my mind drifted to how Simon and I were close. Jordyn didn't know and her being married to Simon would affect my relationship with him.
They also have a big secret of theirs that they wouldn't want to be exposed so I wonder why the Smith family would want to take this risk.
“At least, marrying Simon is better than being a cheap p********e,” Jordyn said.
My eyes were red with anger as I moved towards her aggressively, swerving my long hair across her face.
“Did you just call me a w***e?” I yelled.
“Easy, Silver, I don't want any problem here”
“But the both of us know what pleasing horny men in exchange for money means”
“You, ungrateful b***h,” I retorted.
“Do you think you would have a life without having to pull through some corners”
“Time will tell, babe”
“I will be here to laugh at your stupidity”
“You think your mum or Simon could save you right?”
“Let's see,” I left angrily as I threw the empty cup of alcohol in my hands across her face.
Simon has gotten on my nerves thinking he could get married just like that. I have to pay him a little visit.
JORDYN’S POV
My mum was sitting across the table as we had breakfast. We had both not talked to each other since morning and someone had to break the silence.
She is still upset with what happened with Silver and I am no longer on talking terms with her either.
“Mum, so I have given a thought to it and I have decided that it’s alright to marry Simon”
“Well, good for you,” Mum said casually and uninterested.
“Okay, so…..”
“Come on, mum, are you still angry?” I finally had to speak out.
I desperately needed a friend, especially after the ugly episode with Silver. Only God knows what that girl would turn me into if I kept hanging out with her.
“Jordyn, we are cool”
“I just want you to know that everything I do is for your good,” Mum said calmly.
“I know, Mum,” I said as I went over to hug her while she patted me on the back.
Gosh! I really needed that hug.
The next day we arrived at the Smith family house and it was very finished. A typical billionaire environment.
SILVER’S POV
I was in so much anger as I drove to Simon’s house. I have so many questions to ask him and he must give me an answer.
Was all our making out just for nothing or he sees me as one of his w****s? Well, I guess it’s time I let him know that I am not.
“Simon,” I yelled as I barged into his room without any concern for his privacy.
The shameless guy was actually j*********f to…..what? Who did I just see on his phone? Is that not Jordyn?
“Who’s that?”
“What, what are you talking about?” Simon asked innocently, not knowing that I had already caught him.
“The girl on your phone,” I smirked.
“Don’t you know how to knock anymore?” Simon queried.
I knew he was trying to change the topic and avoid being defensive.
“Answer the question?” I demanded.
“And if I don't?” he frowned, dropping his phone as he stood up and walked up to me.
I was a little frightened because Simon could be crazy sometimes. His mood switch could be unpleasant.
“I saw what you were doing,” I said.
“That was Jordyn, wasn't it?”
“Jordyn turns you on now?”
“You are getting married to my best friend and you don't think I should know?”
I didn't know when tears were streaming down my face as I lamented.
“Despite all the dark secrets we share?”
“What dark secrets?”
“Tell me, what dark secrets?” Simon yelled as he choked me slightly.
Simon’s eyes were filled with fury.
“Are you blackmailing me now?”
“Now, listen to me”
“You killed Jordyn’s father”
“Not me, or my cousin, or my parents”
“You!”
“And don't ever mention it to me again, is it understood?”
I just stood there with the tears already making a home around my cheeks. In my mind, I knew that I shouldn't have mentioned it to him.
It was wrong. It was a secret and it should have remained buried. What if the wrong ear picks it up?
“So are you really marrying Jordyn?” I asked, cleaning the tears from my eyes.
“Yes,” he responded.
“I didn't choose to marry her though”
“Of course, if I were to choose, I won't marry Jordyn”
“In any case, we would only be married officially”
“It won't change anything”
“She won't dare to expect me to be loyal to her when we are doing her a favor”
“That means we are still good right?” I said, a little excited as my tears had dried up.
“I mean, we can still have our usual fun and do stuff like this”
I moved closer to him and held my breasts seductively towards his face before I reached for his John Thomas.
Sexual tension increased between the both of us as I pushed him slightly to his bed while we had some fun.
JORDYN’S POV
My first day living with Simon was hell. His attitude had not changed despite the number of years that had passed. He still had that insulting and demeaning tongue of his.
“Hey, you are my wife now and you have to behave like someone who has some brains”
“You can't just sit there while I haven't had a meal all morning”
“You came to us, my parents, and begged that I marry you”
“What even gave you the idea that we were the ones you could seek help from,” Simon said.
I just watched with regret and sadness as he hurled those hurtful words at me but what would I do? The best I could do was to try and win his heart. It's not like I didn't try other methods.
Doing what Silver does would probably earn me some money but at what cost? My dignity is important to me but I am afraid I might be losing it either way with every day I spend with Simon.
“Anyway, a deal is a deal but I definitely wouldn't bear the brunt of this arranged marriage”
“I am only agreeing to this for my inheritance”
“I must say your body has a little improvement compared to those years when you looked terrible,” Simon smirked.
“I am actually surprised you actually developed some curves”
“You looked like a Salamander those days,” Simon busted with mocking laughter.
I needed a break already from Simon. It was hell receiving those insults because it had me traumatized.
“My mum is a little ill today, Simon”
“I need to check up on her,” I said, trying to change the ugly topic.
“Is your mum sick already?” he mocked.
“She’s the reason you are married to me anyway so I guess you should thank her while you are at it”
“You can go, I need you back here soon though”
“We will have our wedding tomorrow so you will have to be prepared”
“It's a brief one though so don't expect anything serious”
“It's just for formality and signing of marriage papers”
I just nodded my head in affirmation.
The few hours away from Simon was very needed and I got a breath of fresh air. I also got to hug my mum once more.
It was refreshing knowing that we had gotten past the whole Silver tension and saga. I only wanted the best for her anyway and if marrying Simon would bring us back some respite, then I am ready for it.
“I better be on my way now, Mum,” I said to
Mum.
“Sure, baby,” she said with a smile. Her smile warmed my heart and gave me some strength I very much needed.
We waved each other goodbye before I got a taxi back to Simon’s house.
Everywhere seemed quiet as I got to the Smith family estate before walking over to Simon’s house.
Is anyone around? Maybe I should have stayed back at my mum’s place for a few more hours.
I soon started hearing a sound. Actually, it was a moan. Where is this sound coming from?
I walked closer and recognized it was coming from Simon’s house which was now my matrimonial home.
Is Simon f**king one of his w****s?
I opened the door and moved in and yes, he was enjoying himself in the bathroom.
Who could that be, though? The figure I could see was familiar.
