Chapter 5

After Ronald and Sophia left Alpha Frederick's place. They both went to their various places. As soon as Ronald got to his room, he met the moon goddess on the chair sitting patiently for him.

"That was very fast of you. I knew you would call me as soon as you came in so I decided to grace you with my appearance before you lose your temper again." The moon goddess said to him.

Ronald had just decided he was going to call the moon goddess as soon as he got into his room because he needed her help with stopping all those miscreants and sending a warning to those rogues that keep on disturbing them.

"What do you mean by I'm fast, your highness," Ronald said to the moon goddess as he took his seat.

"I did not think you would find your sister that fast. I did not expect the Alpha to cooperate with you that easily. Humans are sure different sometimes." The moon goddess said murmuring the last part but still loud enough for Ronald to hear her.

The moon goddess faced him and looked at him closely.

"You've made your mind up already?" She said to him.

"I need to stop them or else we would keep on losing our loved ones in this park," Ronald said.

"Do you think it is an easy feat?" The moon goddess said observing him closely.

"I never thought anything is easy. But I am ready to face them no matter how difficult it might turn out to be." Ronald said.

"You seem to have made up your mind."

"Yes, your highness," Ronald said.

"Then all I have to do is support you and give you my blessings." She said and stood up.

"But let me warn you, you will face various encounters that might be very challenging. Know how to control your temper. With you doing this, that means you are ready to take over as an Alpha, anyway and anytime. Remember, your sister should be with you, you will need her." She said before vanishing into thin air.

Ronald sat on his bed and pondered over the issue. He knew doing this means he has to be a very strong leader and he has to man up. He knew that he was going to face a lot of challenges than he thought. He went back to his father's room and met the maid he assigned for him wiping his feet. His father must have tried something hilarious again, he thought. The maid did not notice him because she was heavily focused on what she was doing.

"You can leave now. My son is here to see me." Alpha Frederick said to the girl.

Ronald thought even if his father's eyesight was getting poorer by day, his sense of smell to notice someone was still intact. The maid carried the bowl and bowed down to Ronald before she left.

"Son, do you need to tell me anything. I sense that the matter is serious." Alpha Frederick said to his son.

"I have decided to take on your position fully," Ronald said to his father anticipating the Alpha's next reaction.

Alpha Frederick went silent for a long period. He had known this day would come but still hearing it from his son made it seem like the day he was waiting for arrived faster than he thought. He knew his son's capabilities and his temper when things don't go his way. He did not want him to make a mistake that could jeopardize the whole pack but he has no other choice than to put him in his rightful position.

"Have you talked to the moon goddess about this?"Alpha Frederick asked his son.

" Yes father, she told me to tread carefully," Ronald replied his father.

"Then I have no choice than to give you your rightful position. Tell the maids to decorate the house. We would be having the ceremony today. I would use this opportunity to announce your sister to them. I would start calling the elders to be around here by seven in the evening." Alpha Frederick said before turning his back against his son.

Ronald could sense that his father was not eager to leave his position not because he enjoyed it but because he was scared of the things he would encounter being an Alpha of a park. This made him smile within and he stood up to leave.

"Be rest assured father, I won't jeopardize the pack. You just have to calm yourself down and get ready for the ceremony." Ronald said to his father as he made his way out of his room.

"Son, being an Alpha is not an easy feat. You know all the things that come with it along with the fact that you don't have a mate yet. You need to hurry up and find her. The elders won't take it lightly with you after I leave to meet my ancestors." Alpha Frederick said.

Ronald smiled at his back before stepping out of the room. He had not thought that this could lead to him bringing back a Luna. He also had to pick a beta which was a hard choice for him. He has seen the way his father's beta brings suggestions to the pack and helped them when things were hard before he passed away in a war. This made him conflicted on who he should choose for his beta. He decided to go to Sophia's place and inform her of what was going to take place at their place and inform her foster parents that they need to be also there. He called the maid that was in charge of his father's health and told her to inform the others to start the decoration of the house because they were going to host a ceremony. It was this war that kept on taking the most important people of everyone's life and he had to put an end to it.
