(Lexie Monteverdi’s POV)
The night breeze in San Felipe was colder than usual.
Sa labas ng guesthouse, may maliit na bonfire na sinindihan nina Rafa at Kiell sa may open yard.
Ang liwanag ng apoy naglalaro sa mukha naming lahat habang nagkukumpulan kami sa paligid — parang simpleng celebration matapos ang mahabang araw.
“Okay,” sabi ni Rafa habang nagbubukas ng pack ng marshmallows. “Since you’re stuck here for another month, let’s make it official — this is our first Hacienda Night.”
“Hacienda Night?” tawa ni Zyra. “Ano ‘yan, parang team building?”
“Exactly,” sabat ni Kiell, may dalang gitara. “With music, food, and a bit of chismis.”
Aira groaned. “You and your chismis.”
“Oh, come on,” sagot ni Kiell. “Don’t act innocent. I saw you laughing at Lexie’s notes kanina.”
“Excuse me?”
